Rajnath Singh arrived in China's Qingdao on Thursday to attend SCO Defence Ministers Meeting. Upon his arrival, Rajnath Singh was welcomed by the Chinese Defence Minister, Admiral Dong Jun. India declined to sign the joint declaration at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meeting in China on Thursday, which, according to sources, did not have any mention of the dastardly April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam but mentioned incidents in Pakistan. According to government sources, Rajnath Singh did not sign the SCO document as India is not satisfied with the language of the joint document, as there was no mention of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, there was mention of the incidents that happened in Pakistan, so India refused to sign the joint declaration, and there is no joint communique either.

Kolkata gangrape: In controversial remark, TMC's Kalyan Banerjee says 'What can be done if ... '

TMC leader Kalyan Banerjee NEW DELHI: Senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kalyan Banerjee on Friday sparked controversy with his remark on the Kolkata law college rape case, saying, 'What can be done if a friend rapes his friend?" Banerjee, who is also the MP from Serampore Lok Sabha constituency, further asked: "Will the police be there in schools? This was done by students to another student. Who will protect her (victim)?" The TMC leader, however, said that the accused should be arrested. "I am not an advocate into the incident that occurred at the Law College but the accused should be arrested. A few men commit this type of what can be done if a friend rapes his friend. Will the police be there in schools? This was done by students to another student. Who will protect her (victim)? This (South Calcutta Law College) is a government college. Will the police always be there?" Kalyan Banerjee told news agency ANI. In the incident at Kolkata law college, which is the eerily reminiscent of the gut-wrenching RG Kar case, a student was allegedly raped on the night of June 25 within the premises, leading to the arrest of three men, two students and a staff member who is also an alumnus of the institution. Police identified the accused as Manojit Mishra (31), Zaib Ahmed (19), and Pramit Mukhopadhyay alias Pramit Mukherjee (20). Kolkata Police on Thursday identified Manojit Mishra as a former president of the institution's Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad unit and the organisational secretary of the south Kolkata wing of the TMC's student body. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Cuối cùng, chơi miễn phí game chiến thuật hay nhất 2025! College authorities confirmed that Mishra had been working at the institute as a temporary non-teaching staff member on a 45-day renewable contractual basis. He is also a practising criminal lawyer at the Alipore Police and Sessions Court. The vice principal of the college, Dr Nayna Chatterji, said Mishra's appointment was made 'on the basis of a resolution passed by the governing body (GB) of the institute.' According to Kolkata Police, the alleged assault took place on June 25 inside a guard's room located on the ground floor of the college, adjacent to the students' union office. "Initial investigations revealed that the victim had reached the college in the afternoon to fill up certain academic forms after she was called by some people," officials told news agency PTI.

Relief for AAP MLA Fauja Singh Sarari in sarpanch's suicide case, SIT clears name

1 2 Bathinda: An SIT that was formed to probe a suicide by Jashan Bawa, an AAP worker and the sarpanch of Tarida village in Ferozepur on May 31, has given the clean chit to party MLA from Guru Har Sahai, Fauja Singh Sarari, and his personal assistant, Bachittar Singh. An FIR in connection with the suicide was registered on Friday against five persons, based on a probe report submitted by the special investigation team (SIT), led by an SP-rank officer, said Ferozepur senior superintendent of police Bhupinder Singh. The charges include abetment to suicide and criminal conspiracy. The SSP said Tarida residents Sona Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Hardeep Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, and Nijjar village resident Karanbir Singh Dhillon had been named in the FIR, registered at Lakho Ke Behram police station in Ferozepur, under sections 108 (abetment of suicide) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of BNS. Police are still probing the role of Mamdot panchayat secretary Roshan Singh, whose name figured in the initial investigation. The FIR was registered on a statement by Bawa's father, Tarsem Lal, and mother Veena Rani. It has been alleged that Sona Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Hardeep Singh, and Sukhwinder Singh hurled taunts at Bawa with support from Dhillon and the backing of panchayat secretary Roshan Singh. It has also been alleged that Dhillon extracted Rs 12 lakh from Bawa and did not allow him to function freely as the sarpanch. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 새로 나온 '실비보험' 최적가 가입추천!
