'Binge-worthy' romantic drama tops Amazon Prime charts worldwide as fans 'can't get enough'
Amazon Prime Video users can not get enough of one coming of age romance drama which has taken the streaming platform by storm after its weekly episode release has seen it top Amazon Charts worldwide. Based on Jenny Han's popular book series, The Summer I Turned Pretty, which returned for its third season last month, is described as a story 'about first love, first heartbreak and the magic of that one perfect summer'.
However, fans are being forced to patiently wait each Wednesday for a new episode with the sixth episode of series three being the latest to drop on Prime. Now more than halfway through the latest season which consists of 11 episodes, viewers are waiting in anticipation for the series finale which is set to air on September 17.
Starring Lola Tung as Belly Conklin, Christopher Briney as Conrad Fisher and Gavin Casalegno as Jeremiah, the show is about a love triangle between one girl and two brothers. The story unfolds at Cousins Beach where Belly and her mum have been going to vacation with family friend Susannah and her two sons, Jeremiah and Conrad for many summers.
Isabel (Belly), has a long-standing crush on Conrad but the summer she turns sixteen, she finds herself going through a lot of changes, both physical and mental, and lands herself in a love triangle with the two handsome brothers.
The show first premiered in 2022 with season 2 coming out in 2023 so fans have been waiting a good few years for the third season to be released.
And it appears that viewers can not get enough of the new episodes.
Taking to X to share their opinions on the show, one user dramatically confessed: "I think about The Summer I Turned Pretty way more religiously than I think about eating."
Another echoed: "Obsessed with The Summer I Turned Pretty."
A third gushed: "Ugh The Summer I Turned Pretty is such a cute show!!!!"
Someone else added: "I'm caught up on The Summer I Turned Pretty. Hello??? I need the next episode NOW."
The drama has divided the internet with many making comments about whether they are Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah.
One person wrote: "I'm Team Jeremiah forever !!"
While another disagreed: "On season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty and I was NEVER team Jeremiah. Screw that man, team Conrad forever!!"
Someone else added:" I've always been Team Jeremiah but ever since season 3 started it feels so wrong i think i was missing something the whole time."
Meanwhile, another user slammed them both as she said: "Team Jeremiah or Conrad? duh, I'm team Belly's getting a therapist."
Despite the online raving about the show, it does only score a 73% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
However, the drama did win a People's Choice Award for the public's 'Favourite Binge-worthy Show' in 2024.
The show is expected to be coming to an end when the final episode of season three airs in September with there only being three books in the novel series.

The TV personality has admitted to finding the shape of her growing baby bump a bit unusual as she described how it has her feeling "really bothered." Laura, 36, took to Instagram to update her followers as she admitted feeling a little dismayed over the matter. She shared on the social media platform, "I'll be honest, I've been struggling a little bit the last couple of months of not having the perfect bump like all the girls on Pinterest. So I have, and have always had, a B shaped belly." "I'm also trying to remind myself that just as all bodies are good bodies, as I've been bleating on about for years, all bumps are good bumps." She then wrote in the caption, "Being pregnant can sometimes feel great and sometimes utterly BLEURGHH, but it ALWAYS feels like a privilege. Please don't think I'm complaining as I'm not. Just being honest about navigating my body changing and growing." She sent a message of support to others in the same situation as she concluded, "Hope this helps anyone in the same boat." Fans rushed to comment on the post and heap praise on her as they reminded her that she "looks fab" and should just enjoy her pregnant body while she has it. Thank you for helping me give a name to my shape!" A fourth wrote, "As a fellow B Belly, who had the very same feelings when I was pregnant, I say yes to all of this. You're doing amazingly well and your body is rocking it!" A fifth said, "My son (now a strapping 15 year old) is my only child and I still deeply regret not taking photos of my pregnancy because I hated my body so much. You are amazing and defying all odds to create a new human. Thank you for sharing."

Clarkson's Farm's Kaleb Cooper handles becoming dad again in hilariously 'farmer
If four seasons of Clarkson's Farm have taught us anything, it's that farmers are an unflappable bunch. Even in the face of declining harvests, biblical floods, and Jeremy Clarkson's innovative (and by innovative we mean calamitous) farming techniques, nothing gets them down. It's perhaps unsurprising then that Kaleb Cooper – Jeremy's right-hand man and farm manager – remained incredibly cool-headed while his wife went into labour with their third child. Jeremy told the story in his column for The Sun, writing: 'The boy wonder Kaleb Cooper, who manages my farm, received word this week that his wife was in labour. ''Right,' he said. 'I'll be there when I've finished harvesting this field.' 'How farmerish is that?!?!' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video According to Jeremy, once he'd finished the harvest, Kaleb's attention turned to naming the newborn. One of their friends supposedly thought it would be a good idea to name the kid after the field that Kaleb had been harvesting when the news came through. As nice an idea as this was, Jeremy did point out one flaw: 'the field was called Deadman.' Yeah… maybe not. The news that Kaleb has welcomed his third child will come as sweet relief to the hard workers on Diddly Squat Farm, which has been his by repeated disasters in recent months. In July, Jeremy revealed that one of his cows had tested positive for TB, which meant they had to quarantine the cattle farm and one of their newborn puppies passed away. More Trending Following that, the 65-year-old revealed that the harvest this year had been catastrophically bad. Finally, the former Top Gear host turned farming advocate revealed filming on Clarkson's Farm had been disrupted by JD Vance's visit to the Cotswolds. Still, the bad news didn't stop Jeremy from celebrating A-Level results day with his annual tweet telling students not to worry about their results, as his were bad and he now has a helicopter pad.
