Pregnant woman critically injured in crash on Truman Road in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An investigation is underway after a pregnant woman was critically injured in a crash on Wednesday afternoon in Kansas City.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, at about 1:25 p.m., officers and emergency responders were called to the area of Westbound Truman Road and Montgall Avenue on reports of an injury crash.

Investigations revealed that the driver of a Chevrolet Equinox was southbound on Montgall Avenue, toward Truman Road, when the driver entered the intersection from a stop sign and was hit by a Nissan Murano.
The driver of the Equinox and the driver of the Nissan were uninjured in the crash, according to KCPD. However, the pregnant front seat passenger of the Equinox suffered critical injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Police said the pregnant woman and her fetus are both in stable condition at this time, and that the investigation is ongoing.

Chicago police say 15-year-old Gersimar Sanchez Quintana has been missing since Thursday, May 29.
