Sacha Baron Cohen ‘terrified Isla will spill more secrets' after ‘sausage' gag – as he unveils ‘power play' revenge body

The Sun5 days ago
IT is just a month since Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher announced they would 'remain friends' after their £120million divorce was finalised.
But with the ink barely dry, the Australian actress has been making barbed comments about 'men' that have been anything other than friendly.

And now, the normally private Sacha has come up with what appears to be the ultimate Hollywood power play.
The 53-year-old Borat actor posed topless on the front of a men's magazine to show off his incredibly ripped torso as he prepares to play a Marvel supervillain.
The single star's 'revenge body' is a surprise transformation from his previously gangly 6ft 3in frame. It follows Isla 's seductive poses earlier this year where she lay on a bed in a skimpy pink dress.
But that was nothing in comparison to the social media messages she has posted in the past few weeks.
First, Isla, 49, commented: 'For all the men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?', here's an update for you. Nowadays, 80 per cent of women are against marriage.
'Why? Because women realise it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage.'
And last week she asked: 'Are you sure it's just one man they found?', next to a story saying, 'Man was found to be missing 90 per cent of his brain'.
'Lot of anger'
A Hollywood source told The Sun last night: 'Isla knows exactly what she's doing here and there's zero doubt it will enrage Sacha no end.'
'There's no question the divorce has been extremely tough for both of them.
'They wanted to wrap things up fairly quickly, but it didn't pan out that way because they found it difficult to sign off on a financial settlement.
All The signs Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher had secretly split from girls' nights out to hiding ring finger
'So there was a lot of back and forth over property and other assets, which was frustrating for them both and emotionally exhausting, especially with three kids caught in the middle.
'Isla's certainly a lot happier and more liberated these days, but she's clearly holding back a lot of anger and resentment.'
Sacha and Isla had been together since meeting in Sydney in 2001. Back then, the ex-Home And Away star was building a career in TV, while Sacha was still best known for his comedy Ali G character.
By the time they wed in 2010, she had made her name as a comic actress in 2005 film Wedding Crashers and Sacha had become a global figure as bumbling Borat from Kazakhstan.
Their marriage was seen as one of the strongest in showbusiness, but cracks started to appear as they attempted to keep their family together while working in different parts of the world.
Isla is said to have wanted to make their main home in Australia, while Sacha favoured London. They moved to the UK, where their three children were educated, but Sacha kept his seven-bed mansion in Los Angeles and she spent a lot of time working Down Under.
Then last year Aussie actress Rebel Wilson claimed that Sacha had acted inappropriately on set while they were making 2016 movie The Brothers Grimsby.
She alleged he pressured her to appear in a nude sex scene, fat-shamed her and asked her to stick her 'finger' somewhere intimate.
Sacha denied all the claim s and they were later removed from Rebel's autobiography.
Sacha has always pushed comedy to its limits, such as in his 2006 Borat movie when he wrestled naked in front of real hotel guests. But just a few days after the allegations were made, Isla and Sacha announced they were splitting up. Insiders said that Rebel's book had nothing to do with the break-up.
And the couple claimed they started divorce proceedings in 2023.
They posted a jokey message on social media with themselves in tennis gear saying: 'After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down.'
That agreement not to talk about their personal lives seemed to end when Isla gave an interview this spring, commenting on her divorce.
She said: 'It's the most difficult thing I've been through and I've learnt so much about myself.
'I never imagined my family being separated, but we are committed and loving parents.'
It was reported that Isla had largely put her career on the back burner to look after their children when she was married to Sacha.
Now she is rebuilding it, making a cameo appearance in Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy in February, and she is due to star in Now You See Me 3, out in November.
Meanwhile, it seems that Sacha has been spending a lot of time on his image — his body image.

100 press-ups
The actor, who displayed a hairy chest while wearing a bright green mankini as Borat, has now shaved it off. In Men's Fitness magazine, he also oiled up his bare skin to enhance his rippling muscles.
Sacha joked: 'Some celebs use Ozempic, some use private chefs, others use personal trainers. I use all three.'
In fact, no fat jabs were needed. He did 100 press-ups a day plus ten to a dozen pull-ups.
The comedian said: 'My mindset around fitness has definitely evolved.
"My favourite exercise is X-ups. I've always found core workouts challenging, as I'm blessed with the core strength of an arthritic jellyfish, so being able to do them now is a reminder of how far I've come.'
It is unusual for Sacha to talk about himself, but there is little doubt he is moving away from the comic creations that made his name.
Last month, Borat director Larry Charles revealed that he was no longer working with Sacha since the actor started to go in a new direction on the 2012 film The Dictator.
Larry said: 'He wanted to be more of a traditional movie star.
'He was surrounding himself with more traditional showbusiness people.'
Sacha's six-pack training regime was developed for his role as Mephisto in the Marvel universe.
This is his latest attempt at serious acting, having starred in the Apple+ psychological drama Disclaimer last year with Cate Blanchett. He told fans on Instagram he is 'hard-launching his mid-life crisis' and has 'replaced beer with protein shakes'.
When Isla appeared at a gallery last month in a bright gown, the actress said her look was 'somewhere between mermaid and mid-life crisis'.
If the pair's crises continue, this is only going to get more interesting.
But our insider insisted Sacha was only aiming to impress studio bosses and audiences with his new six-pack, saying: 'He worked out for a role.'
However, they added: 'His greatest fear will be Isla going into more details than her cryptic online posts.
'If that were to happen it would be his worst, utter nightmare.'
All the signs Isla and Sacha had secretly split
The couple have revealed they actually split last year, despite only just revealing their divorce.
Here we look at the signs they had already broken up before revealing their split news:
Social media silence - Sacha has been absent from Instagram since last Christmas.
Spending time with friends - Isla has been been following that classic post break-up move of spending more time with her girlfriends.
Hidden ring finger - No fans noticed at the time, but in many Instagram shots from this year, Isla has hidden her right hand so her wedding finger was not visible in many shots.
Missing man - The last image Isla shared of her and Sacha prior to the divorce announcement was back in November last year.

Simon Cowell 'never been so angry' after treatment on Celebrity SAS show

X Factor star, Lucy Spraggan, has spilled the beans on Simon Cowell's brief cameo on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, which returns to Channel 4 on Sunday Simon Cowell was fuming after his small stint on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins recently, according to the show's new recruit, Lucy Spraggan. ‌ The dad-of-one, 65, who walked the X Factor star, 34, down the aisle last year, is not part of the lineup, but pops up in the Channel 4 endurance show when he calls Lucy to try and help motivate her. ‌ The singer, who has been close friends with Simon following her harrowing experience on the X Factor in 2012, is reportedly hung up on by the DS (directing staff) when he tries to rally his pal, leaving the media mogul "so angry". ‌ Speaking to The Sun, Lucy said: "The DS [directing staff] hung up on him and he was like, 'I've never been so angry'." In the interview, the singer also said the 65-year-old considered appearing on the show himself, but she was worried he'd 'die'. She revealed: "He thought it was a great idea, me doing the show. He knows I love being outdoors. We do a lot of shooting air rifles and stuff together, so he knows this is my thing, testing my mental resilience. ‌ "It was just funny because he had said, 'Oh, maybe I'll try and have a go at it'. I was like, 'Simon, you would literally die!'. It was funny because it really contextualised how hard it was that I just straight away said to him, 'You would have no chance.' Lucy bestowed the biggest honour on the media mogul when he walked her down the aisle last year. The former X Factor boss also made a speech at her wedding to the "love of her life" Emilia Smith. ‌ And while many fans may be bamboozled at Lucy's close bond with Simon, she's spoken fondly about him and how she knows a "very wholesome version" of the multi-millionaire. Lucy - who is estranged from her biological dad - and Simon were able to build a strong bond over the last four years after he apologised for not supporting her following her harrowing sex attack in 2012 while she was filming The X Factor. At the time, Lucy was only 21 years old and was sexually attacked by a hotel porter named Soby John, who used his hotel key card to enter her room after she had passed out drunk after celebrating Rylan Clark's birthday. ‌ But it wasn't until the death of Caroline Flack in 2020, Lucy felt able to speak out about her ordeal. Her attacker was sentenced to 10 years and was deported back to India, after serving three years of his sentence. Lucy now has her sights set on winning Celebrity SAS in which she stars alongside Love Island 's Tasha Ghouri, The Traitors ' Harry Clark, S Club's Hannah Spearritt and former glamour model Rebecca Loos.

How Ruben Dias used secret weapon to win over Maya Jama as pals claim couple are plotting major next move

HER enviable charisma and curves make Maya Jama everyone's type on paper, so winning her affection was arguably tougher than landing the treble for her Manchester City boyfriend, Ruben Dias. But eight months on since they quietly started dating, we can reveal the secret weapon Ruben used to score a future with the Love Island host - and pal's claims that they're planning to take a major step in their relationship. 10 10 Having met months after a failed last-ditch effort with her rapper ex Stormzy, the 30-year-old wasn't looking for love when Ruben asked for her number at the MTV Europe Music Awards in his football team's hometown. It had been Maya and Stormzy's second go at a relationship. They first split after five years together in 2020 not long before Maya got engaged to NBA player Ben Simmons following a whirlwind romance. While both relationships weren't meant to be forever, the experiences helped clarify what the presenter wanted - and didn't want - from her next partner. In the weeks before dating footballer Ruben, Maya said: 'The next person I meet I want to marry and have kids with, so obviously I'm feeling fussy.' Our sources say her surprise connection with 28-year-old Ruben caught Maya by surprise - and his commitment early on in dating secured their fate. Pals claim they're now putting plans in place to move in together as their relationship goes from strength to strength. A source told The Sun: 'Maya is incredibly headstrong and confident. After everything she's been through, she knows her worth and won't settle for anything less. 'Her relationship with Ruben is totally different to when she was with Stormzy. She's described how they were babies when they met and his career was more established than Maya's. 'This time, she's come into the relationship on a level playing field as two hugely successful individuals. 'They've both reached their career goals and the world is their oyster, so they're now at a stage where they can focus more on their love lives. Maya Jama kisses footballer boyfriend on romantic holiday and shows off her stunning bikini body 'It's important to Maya that she can trust the person she's with and they are certain about what they want in their future. "She knows who she is now and is looking for someone on equal pegging to enjoy life with." Our insider added: 'Ruben made sure from the start that his intentions with Maya were clear. 'He knows he's struck gold and wants to make sure Maya knows how seriously he feels about her. 10 10 "Being honest and open about what he wants from their future was the secret weapon in securing a future with Maya. "Maya's work, home and friends are in London so she doesn't want to leave there entirely, but is considering going between there and Manchester." Ruben was previously linked to Love Island All Stars' Arabella Chi in the months before setting eyes on Maya Just like his relationships with pop singer April Ivy and actress Daniela Melchior, both from Portugal, their lifestyle differences drove them apart. While the women were happy with the spotlight, Ruben has always preferred a private life. After swapping numbers with Bristol-born Maya, he soon made clear he was looking for something serious away from the cameras. 'This was a real turning point for Maya.' our source added. 'She was impressed that he wasn't looking to gain from their popularity as a couple. He made her feel it was a genuine connection from the off. 'Even though they know their romance is bound to attract attention, they keep the details of their relationship strictly confidential, but he's been keen to post pictures of them together to let everyone know he's taken. 'He's obviously attracted to successful and powerful women. He loves how Maya lights up every room she's in and shines as an individual, but it was also important to him that they are a strong team together. "That was very attractive to Maya." Ruben's desire in a partner matches that of Maya who had a lightbulb moment following the end of her engagement to Australian basketballer Ben and the break-up of her five-year relationship with Stormzy the first time around. 'I refuse to dim myself down," she said at the time. It's a life lesson she has lived by, revealing: 'I'm such a lover, but I am a big leaver as well. 'I know what makes me happy and I know what I like — and this is no disrespect to anyone I've been in a relationship with, but if it's not that then I will leave it. 'My point I always try to make is that I am really, really happy and I have curated this lovely little life for myself and my friends. 'I only want you if you are going to add to that or make it better, otherwise I am not really on it.' 10 Maya's presenting career soared in 2023 when she landed the hosting job on Love Island, after years of being known as Stormzy's girlfriend. In the same year, Ruben made history with his Manchester City teammates when they won the Premier league, FA Cup, and Champions League within a week of each other. The rare feat was a career highlight for the Portuguese national player, who returned to training at City Football Academy this week after spending the summer with Maya. The smitten pair travelled to Italy's Amalfi Coast in a private jet where they sailed on a luxury yacht as they soaked up the sun. It was during this extended break when Maya and Ruben made their relationship official to fans by posting pictures of them together on social media for the first time. In her most recent Instagram post, Maya shared snaps from her holidays with Ruben and filming the latest series of Love Island, captioning it: "Work & play balancing." They've come a long way in the last few months, with Maya having reportedly met Dias's family. She's even started taking Portuguese lessons to impress her other half. A friend said: "It's the happiest we've ever seen Maya. Her career and relationship are both going from strength to strength and she deserves it all."
