Aya Samaha to Star Alongside Ahmed Fahmy in TV Series "Ibn El Nady"
Egyptian actress Aya Samaha is set to star alongside actor and screenwriter Ahmed Fahmy in the comedy TV series "Ibn El Nady."
Karim Saad is directing the series from a script by Mohab Tarek. TVision is the studio behind the drama.
"Ibn El Nady" is a Shahid original content that focuses on the world of Egyptian football through the life of Omar El Sheshtawy, a spoiled rich kid with a unique kind of smarts whose life takes a wild turn.
The drama marks Fahmy's comeback to the small screen after two years of absence.
He made his last appearance in the 2023 TV shows "Safah Al Giza" and "Sero El Batea".
Samaha, meanwhile, made her last appearance on the small screen in the social-comedy TV series "
El Captain
".
Samaha, born on March 31, 1992, started her acting career with the 2016 film "Hepta: The Last Lecture" and received more onscreen time in the 2016 mystery TV series "Grand Hotel".
In 2020, she starred in Netflix's series "Paranormal", based on Ahmed Khaled Tawfik's supernatural novel "Ma Waraa Al Tabiaa".
Her TV credits also include "Malika", "Rageen Ya Hawa", "Seeb Wana Aseeb", "El Soffara", and 'Ala Bab Al-Omara'.

"The Holiday" TV Series in Works
Yara Sameh A limited series adaptation of the 2006 romantic comedy film 'The Holiday' is in development at Apple TV+. As with the film, the drama would center on two women, one British and one American, who swap houses during the Christmas season and find love along the way. The series would reportedly focus on different characters than those featured in the film. Krissie Ducker is attached to write and executive produce the series, with Rob Delaney serving as a consultant. Left Bank Pictures will produce. Nancy Meyers — who wrote, produced, and directed the film — is not attached to the series. The search is now on for the series leads. Should the cast come together, the series is expected to receive a greenlight. Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, and Jack Black starred in the original film. Winslet played Iris, a London columnist for The Daily Telegraph, while Diaz portrayed Amanda, the owner of a film trailer company in Los Angeles. Upon swapping houses, Iris meets Miles (Black), a film composer, while Amanda meets Graham (Law), Iris' widowed brother. 'The Holiday' was a box office success upon its release, grossing over $200 million worldwide. It has maintained a strong cult across the globe following ever since. Ducker's past TV writing credits include shows like 'Killing Eve,' 'Sweetpea,' and 'The Assassin.' Chiati Loses Himself in ‘Cairo Traffic' for New Music Video
The video takes us on Chiati's afro-melodic house journey through the chaotic metropolis. Aug 02, 2025 Egyptian multi-instrumentalist and electronic live act Chiati has dropped the official music video for his latest single 'Cairo Traffic'. Directed by Ziad Yosry, and co-produced by Armaal's Ahmed Khalil the video takes us on Chiati's afro-melodic house journey through the chaotic metropolis. Shot amid honking cars and the relentless flow of the city's traffic, the video captures the unfiltered energy that inspired Chiati to make the track in the first place through a cinematic lens. Dreamy, often hazy frames are intercut with live street recordings, the visuals dissolving at times, mirror the layered, percussive textures of the song, placing Chiati himself at the center of the fray, performing on the back of a cruising truck, and grooving to himself with the roads around him in full motion, as if a it were a fever dream whilst in the midst of the tracks inception in the studio. 'Cairo Traffic' initially came through as part of Chiati's debut double release on Animal Trainer and Dario D'Attis' Swiss electronic dance label Hive Audio and since reached #1 on Anghami's electronic charts.

More Details on Hulk Hogan's Death Revealed
Rana Atef On Friday, new medical reports revealed further details about the death of global wrestling legend and reality TV star Hulk Hogan, who passed away last week at the age of 71. According to documents reviewed by the Los Angeles Times, Hogan died from an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack). The Clearwater Police Department in Florida confirmed it had responded to a cardiac arrest call on the morning of July 24, after which Hogan was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The report also noted that Hogan had been suffering from atrial fibrillation as well as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)—a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. Authorities confirmed he had received formal approval for cremation. Hogan rose to superstardom in the 1980s after signing with WWE, becoming not just a wrestling icon but a pop culture phenomenon. His legacy extended to film and television, with notable appearances in The A-Team, Walker, Texas Ranger, and his hit reality series Hogan Knows Best. In later years, Hogan became a political figure, emerging as a vocal supporter of the US President Donald Trump. He delivered a headline-making speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention. Trump mourned the loss on his social media platform, writing: 'Today we lost a great friend... The Hulkster was strong, brave, and brilliant—but also had a big heart.
