Restraining order against Maui doctor is dismissed because he's being held without bail
Gerhardt Konig's wife initially filed the petition after he allegedly pushed her toward the edge of a cliff, attempted to inject her with a syringe and then bashed her head with a rock.
But her attorney, Brandon Segal, told the judge the restraining order was now unnecessary because Konig was being held without bail during the criminal case against him. Segal said his client may refile petition if Konig's custody status changes.
Second Circuit Court Judge Bevanne J. Bowers on Maui approved the motion after Konig's attorney had no objection.
Konig pleaded not guilty to an attempted murder charge in April. He's been held without bail since his March 28 indictment.
Konig and his wife were visiting Oahu from their home on Maui to celebrate her birthday when he allegedly tried to kill her on the hiking trail, prosecutors said.
The wife's petition said Konig accused his wife in December of having an affair and that they had been in therapy and counseling. She also said her husband has sexually abused and assaulted her.
The Associated Press does not name people say they have been sexually abused unless they come forward publicly.

Jack Nicholson's grandson allegedly knocked ex unconscious and broke her tooth... as she shares disturbing photo
Jack Nicholson's eldest of his grandchildren - Sean Norfleet - allegedly knocked his ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Lawlor unconscious and the fall broke her tooth before his August 5th arrest for domestic violence. New details have emerged about the altercation - which took place at the 29-year-old techno producer's Venice apartment on July 23 - and his 28-year-old ex has since posted a disturbing Instagram snap of her broken tooth captioned: 'This summer gave me PTSD.' Sean posted $50K bond and faces up to four years in state prison if found guilty of the felony charge of corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon using his 'hands, feet, and teeth.' Daily Mail has reached out for comment from Nicholson, Lawlor, and Norfleet - who's next scheduled to appear in court on August 26 - but have not yet heard back. In the police report obtained by People, the recovering addict said she dated Sean on/off between 2023-2024 and claimed he lured her to his apartment by saying he'd 'taken a full bottle of Valium and threatened to kill himself if she didn't come to see him.' Elizabeth alleged that Norfleet was 'schizophrenic' and 'has a history of mixing prescription medication with illicit substances,' but he claimed he was fresh out of rehab and wanted to reconnect as friends. New details have emerged about the altercation - which took place at the 29-year-old techno producer's Venice apartment on July 23 - and his 28-year-old ex has since posted a disturbing Instagram snap of her broken tooth After Lawlor arrived, she reportedly checked the phone of the musician - whose DJ name is Cutter Mattock - to confirm he lied about being sober as he argued with her about past infidelity. At 5:30pm, Sean allegedly grabbed the Pepperdine psychology student by the neck and head and threw her into an unidentified hard object, and 'she blacked out and when she opened her eyes realized her tooth had broken.' When Elizabeth came to she fled the apartment then Norfleet escorted her back inside, and she eventually sent photos of her injuries to his mother Jennifer Nicholson (the 88-year-old movie star's eldest child), who called 911. The Emerson College drop-out - who had a clean record - was arrested as Lawlor was rushed by ambulance to Marina Del Rey Hospital where she underwent oral surgery and received stitches for facial injuries. Sean publicly goes by Sean Knight Nicholson despite Jennifer marrying his father Mark Norfleet between 1997 and 2003. Norfleet's 26-year-old brother Duke is following in Jack's acting footsteps with roles in Tony Kaye's upcoming comedy The Trainer, Jimmy Giannopoulos' 2022 horror film Alone at Night, and Nicholas Jarecki's 2021 thriller Crisis. Nicholson is also grandfather to three children - Walter, 14; Hank, 8; and Daisy, 13 - through his 44-year-old daughter Honey Hollman with Danish model Winnie Hollman. The retired Hollywood legend has two children - daughter Lorraine, 35; and son Ray, 33 - from his five-year relationship with his Man Trouble co-star Rebecca Broussard, which ended in 1994. Rebecca's first pregnancy was the catalyst to end of Jack's longest romantic relationship, with Oscar winner Anjelica Huston, from 1973-1990. In the police report, the recovering addict (pictured July 29) said she dated Sean on/off between 2023-2024 and claimed he lured her to his apartment by saying he'd 'taken a full bottle of Valium and threatened to kill himself if she didn't come to see him' Elizabeth alleged that Norfleet was 'schizophrenic' and 'has a history of mixing prescription medication with illicit substances,' but he claimed he was fresh out of rehab and wanted to reconnect as friends Sean (R, seen in 2017) publicly goes by Sean Knight Nicholson despite Jennifer marrying his father Mark Norfleet (L) between 1997 and 2003 Nicholson has reportedly recognized 54-year-old Caleb Goddard as his son in private following an on-set fling with his Five Easy Pieces co-star Susan Anspach, who raised her son with ex-husband Mark Goddard. The former lothario is estranged from his 31-year-old daughter Tessa Gourin with waitress Jennine Gourin as he has never publicly acknowledged the paternity. Reclusive Jack (born John) hasn't been publicly seen since attending SNL50: The Anniversary Special in Manhattan on February 16 alongside his daughter Lorraine. Nicholson hasn't graced the silver screen since portraying corporate CEO Charles Madison in James L. Brooks' dismally-reviewed 2010 rom-com How Do You Know, which only earned $48.7M back from its $120M budget. But the LA Lakers superfan has acted in some of the greatest films of all time including Five Easy Pieces, Chinatown, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining, Terms of Endearment, Batman, A Few Good Men, As Good as It Gets, and About Schmidt. Jack - who's a California Air National Guard veteran - has certainly been decorated for his acting career - having won three Academy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, and even a Grammy Award.

Gervonta 'Tank' Davis' domestic violence charge dropped in South Florida
A misdemeanor battery case in South Florida against professional boxer Gervonta 'Tank' Davis was dropped Tuesday, a month after his arrest on the domestic violence charge. The online docket for Miami-Dade County 's clerk of court showed that the charge was dropped and the case closed. Davis, 30, was picked up shortly after midnight on July 11 near the popular Lincoln Road area of Miami Beach. Davis and his vehicle information had been added to a law enforcement database, and a license plate reader set up in Miami Beach flagged his car. Miami Beach police made the initial stop and then turned Davis over to Doral police. He was later released on a $10,000 bond. The charge was connected to a report made in June by Davis' former domestic partner in Doral, a residential city in western Miami-Dade. According to a police report, the mother of his two children said Davis struck the back of her head and slapped her during an argument while she was taking one of their children out of his car. Davis, who is from Baltimore, is in the regular conversation for best pound-for-pound boxer. The WBA lightweight champion won his first 30 bouts, 28 by knockout, with his devastating punching power drawing sellouts crowds from New York to Washington to Las Vegas.
