The Ohio State basketball team you see next season will be significantly different than the one you watched this past year. Several players have left the program through the transfer portal, and that has led to some significant additions coming to the banks of the Olentangy as well.
One of those incoming newcomers is center Christoph Tilly. He came to the Buckeyes after playing for the Santa Clara Broncos the last three years. He's a big man, but one that can step outside and use his athleticism to stretch the defense.
When the Buckeyes signed him out of the portal, it didn't make a big splash in college basketball, but don't tell that to OSU head coach Jake Diebler. He is excited about what the seven-footer can bring to the team next season as the Buckeyes look to rebound from a very disappointing season.
Diebler took to social media to discuss what Tilly can do for Ohio State on the court, and after you watch the short video, you too might be feeling rather optimistic about his chances to enhance the team's chance of making some noise this winter.
Let's hope Diebler is right and that Tilly brings a different dimension to Ohio State this season. The team sorely needs a turnaround and some momentum to get back to where many believe the program should be.

(Photo by Robin Alam/) Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart could miss part or all of the 2025 season after suffering a knee injury earlier in the week. Per ESPN, the injury is 'potentially season-ending.' According to On3, Stewart tore his patellar tendon. Advertisement Stewart was set to be Oregon's top returning receiver for the 2025 season. He was Oregon's second-leading receiver in 2024 with 48 catches for 613 yards and 5 touchdowns. Only Tez Johnson had more catches than Stewart, who missed the Ducks' Rose Bowl loss to Ohio State because of a lower back injury. Stewart is a former five-star recruit who signed with Texas A&M out of high school. He was the No. 33 prospect in the country and the No. 4 wide receiver in his class behind 2025 NFL draft picks Luther Burden III and Tetairoa McMillan and LSU wide receiver Aaron Anderson. The 2024 season was Stewart's first with the Ducks after two seasons with the Aggies. He had 91 catches for 1,163 yards and 6 TDs over 18 games at A&M. If Stewart is out for the season, the Ducks will need to replace both Johnson and Stewart at wide receiver along with TE Terrance Ferguson as Johnson and Ferguson are headed to the NFL. Oregon will also have a new quarterback after Dillon Gabriel was drafted by the Cleveland Browns and former UCLA QB Dante Moore presumably takes over as the starter. Oregon went 13-0 in the regular season and won the Big Ten title before losing to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff.

Big Ten team loses key playmaker to potential season-ending injury One of the top teams in the Big Ten has potentially lost a key offensive playmaker with a season-ending injury. ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel reported on Friday that Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart has suffered a knee injury that is expected to "impact his availability" for the 2025 season. On3's Pete Nakos later added that Stewart's exact injury is a "torn patellar tendon" which can range to from three to 12 months for recovery. Stewart caught 48 passes for 613 yards in his first season with Oregon last year. He was a five-star prospect out of high school and originally played for Texas A&M before transferring to the Ducks. Michigan State doesn't play Oregon this upcoming season so the loss of Stewart doesn't have a direct impact on the Spartans. But it could impact the Ducks' ceiling this fall, which was Big Ten title contender. Should Michigan State surprise some folks and be in the mix for a Big Ten title this year, then the Stewart injury would have an impact on the Spartans. Insider reveals Steelers HC Mike Tomlin 'led the charge' to sign Aaron Rodgers Mike Tomlin isn't done channeling his inner Pittsburgh GM — as insider Jeremy Fowler reported that the long-time Steelers head coach "led the charge" to sign Aaron Rodgers. On ESPN's SportsCenter, Fowler was asked how the Steelers finally got Rodgers' pen to paper — and this is what he had to say: "Mike Tomlin led the charge to bring that man, Aaron Rodgers, to the Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm told they had several meaningful conversations over recent weeks and months to hash all this out," Fowler explained. "I was told that things started to intensify Thursday morning inside the Steelers' building. That's where people there felt, 'Okay, this is gonna get done,' and there was a sense of relief — because they really hadn't gotten a full assurance just yet." There were previous reports that Tomlin may have been behind the George Pickens trade as well — but if the Rodgers-Steelers union works out, there will be no complaints over the head coach's extracurricular general managing duties.
