Saudi's ‘Sleeping Prince' royal who spent 20 YEARS in a coma after horror London car crash dies aged 36
Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal Al Saud tragically passed on Saturday aged 36.
His heartbroken dad Prince Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz confirmed his passing on social media.
He wrote on X: "With hearts believing in Allah's will and decree, and with deep sorrow and sadness, we mourn our beloved son: Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah have mercy on him, who passed away today."
Prince Al-Waleed suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2005 after a car accident while studying at a military college in London.
After the accident, he was hospitalised at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh where he remained in a coma.
The Prince was kept on a ventilator under continuous medical supervision.

MG takes on Tesla for a fraction of price with its new IM range – although some of the features look VERY familiar
I'VE seen a telly in the back of an MG before. At a car boot sale. 7 7 7 Never have I seen an MG with it's own flip-down widescreen TV. Or driven an MG with supercar acceleration and air suspension. Until today. You see MG is going all fancy with a new sub-brand called IM, which stands for Intelligence in Motion. Probably more in keeping with today's world than Morris Garages. The value-packed superminis and SUVs are here to stay — and there's more to come. But MG wants a slice of the lucrative corporate market too. So IM5 is a fully loaded electric saloon (cough, Tesla Model 3) and IM6 is the SUV version (cough, Tesla Model Y). Let's now run through the headlines . . . The fastest versions are comically fast, like 751hp with 802Nm of torques. Like, see-ya-later Lando-fast. Major car brand reveals compact £20k supermini EV will be released in UK in just two years The IM5 Long Range version has an official WLTP range of 441 miles. London to Edinburgh in one go. But it's less powerful at 407 horses. Which is still rapido. Recharging to 80 per cent takes just 17 minutes thanks to the industry-leading 800v battery tech. Like Porsche. And Kia. The cheapest? That's the IM5 Standard Range with a 304-mile battery costing £39,450. Crucially, dipping below £40k will save owners £2k in road tax in the years ahead. Both IM5 and IM6 get four-wheel steering as standard. So they'll outturn an MG4 in town. And they can self-park. Press a button and the boot lowers for the dog to jump in. But that's only on the top-spec SUV with air suspension for now. IM6 is also the first MG with massaging seats. And that optional flip-down TV. From here on out, the cabins are pretty much copy-and-paste. The dash is crowned by a 26in widescreen display and there's a second control panel in the centre console with hard controls for the things we use most. It's quiet in here. It's comfy. It's roomy. There are lots of details which remind me of other brands. But, hey, these are Chinese cars. That's what they do. I've done a checklist of familiar features elsewhere on this page. The bottom line is, MG has done an excellent job providing families with sensibly priced cars backed by a seven-year warranty. It is now a top ten manufacturer. These IM cars take MG into new territory, yet they're still a fair chunk cheaper than a similar-spec Tesla, BYD Seal or Polestar 2. Even with a TV in the back. 7 7 NOW I'M SEEING DOUBLE HERR are ten features on the IM cars which look familiar: Flip-down TV. Like a BMW i7. Just a bit smaller. Watch Netflix or YouTube. Play video games. That car-shaped key's pretty cool. Been in a Porsche recently? Steering wheel controls to adjust the wing mirror. Like a Tesla. Merc-inspired gear selector and 'cheese-grater' speakers in the doors. No door handles. Oh yeah, Fiat 500. They've got a button. Proper deep and soft carpet mats. Like a Rolls-Royce. What, what. Indicate to turn left or right and a blindspot camera pops up on the dash. You can thank Hyundai for that. Autonomous reversing tech, a la BMW. The car remembers the last 100 metres before you pulled up – then retraces it for you. Like pressing rewind on a movie. Widescreen dash. Like, er, everyone else, really. Finally, looks. Tesla vibes at the front and sides. Shades of Aston Martin at the rear with that ducktail spoiler and integrated lightbar. 7 7

New Vauxhall and Zoopla tool shows property listings with EV chargers
Househunters worried whether they might be able to plug-in their electric car can now use a new feature that will allow them to check whether a property has EV charging pre-installed, or whether there is infrastructure nearby. Vauxhall has teamed up with property website Zoopla to develop a new tool, which will enable users of the site to filter properties that have EV charging, as well as search for the nearest on-street EV charger – ideal for those looking to purchase a terrace house or apartment. Research from Vauxhall suggests that 40 per cent of homeowners are planning to take EV charging into consideration when purchasing their next property. This is at odds with the fact that over a third (43 per cent) of the population doesn't have off-road parking at home, making EV charging difficult. Adding insult to injury, the properties on Zoopla's website that do mention having EV charging fitted only account for 1.6 per cent of listings. Advertisement - Article continues below Such a figure wouldn't be all that bad if on-street chargers were abundant everywhere, however the vast majority of these are located in London or other major cities. Earlier this year, the government invested £55 million from the Treasury's National Wealth Fund into on-street charging firm Connected Kerb, which should hopefully result in more on-street chargers being installed across the country. Furthermore, Labour also announced a further £25 million to help councils install more cross-pavement charging solutions for those living in houses with on-street parking. This came alongside the widely publicised Electric Car Grant, which will provide a discount of up to £3,750 off the price of a new vehicle – something buyers will eventually be able to benefit from whilst using Auto Express' Find A Car service. Nevertheless, Vauxhall's managing director, Steve Catlin, said: 'Moving house is one of the biggest decisions most of us make in our lifetime… As EVs become an even more common sight on our roads, more and more people will be prioritising charging access when thinking about where to live.' Cheap electric cars are more appealing than ever
We had a fascinating day recently, driving half a dozen of the cheapest electric cars around and covering plenty of miles to see how far these baby EVs can go on a charge in the real world. The six were split into distinct groups. The two most affordable cars feel very obviously cheap inside. I don't think I'd want to cover big miles in the Leapmotor T03 or Dacia Spring, but they are capable, low-cost options for an urban runaround second car that'll cost pennies to run. Advertisement - Article continues below When I checked Auto Express's marketplace, you could get a Spring for under £11,500, or £143 a month, or the Leapmotor T03 for less than £14,500. I'm not sure either will emerge from the Government's Electric Car Grant chaos with anything more off, but that still puts them among the cheapest cars you can buy. The other four cars feel notably more grown up and complete. The BYD Dolphin Surf, Fiat Grande Panda, Hyundai Inster and Renault 5 are all compelling options that, if you can charge at home and don't frequently cover big distances, have plenty of appeal. The Panda and 5 in particular have bags of character, whereas the Inster is a different, more sensible car that prioritises impressive cabin space (a well documented weakness of the Renault) over style. Skip advert Advertisement - Article continues below A big criticism of electric cars has long been that they are not affordable enough to encourage people to make the switch. But setting aside the new Electric Car Grant, we now have a whole spectrum of sensibly priced EVs. Panda apart – it's so new, we had to borrow a left-hand-drive car for our test – any of these models can be had for under £250 a month on lease, depending on size of deposit. Low prices don't mean there's no discount for buying outright, either – unless you want the 5, because right now Renault is selling every car it can get its hands on. In the Auto Express marketplace, the average saving on a new BYD Dolphin Surf is £1,300-plus, more than £2,000 on a T03, and over £3,000 on the others, so there are some hugely enticing deals around. But the key thing is that these aren't for glorified milk floats. With home charging, you can do all the urban running around you like, in a well equipped, stylish and perky performer, for not much more up front – and a load less on fuel – than with the equivalent petrol supermini.
