Where To Eat And Drink In Green Bay During The 2025 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft has evolved from a simple player selection process into a roving, three-day economic powerhouse, generating hundreds of millions of dollars for host cities. When the league moved the event out of New York in 2015, host cities suddenly found themselves welcoming Super Bowl-sized crowds in the spring. Detroit's 2024 draft drew a record 775,000 attendees and generated a staggering $213.6 million economic impact. Kansas City netted $164.3 million the year before, while Nashville still holds the pre-pandemic high at $224 million. Much of this windfall comes directly from out-of-towners: hotel nights, restaurant tabs, ride-shares, and everything in between.
The audience at home proves just as lucrative. Round 1 coverage in 2024 averaged 12.1 million viewers across ESPN, ABC, NFL Network, and streaming platforms—up six percent year-over-year and higher than anything since 2021. Factor in the total unduplicated TV-plus-digital reach (34.3 million) and the draft now commands a prime-time slot once reserved for playoff games. In other words, when Green Bay hosts the 2025 edition from April 24-26, the city won't just be on the clock; it will be on a national stage with hundreds of thousands of visitors and tens of millions of eyeballs, which is an ideal recipe for restaurants, breweries, and bars ready to capture draft-week dollars.
While NFL teams will be busy selecting tomorrow's stars, visitors to Green Bay and surrounding Wisconsin communities will have their own important decisions to make: where to eat during draft week.
Fuel your Green Bay weekend with a statewide sampler that parks right at the draft: Purple Basil rolls in from Plover with Italian-inspired pastas, while The Frybread Shack (Ashland) stuffs Native tacos and The Dough Shoppe (Ashwaubenon) scoops edible cookie dough for dessert. Craving sit-down options? Try Brokogi's Korean fusion (Wausau/Stevens Point), Milwaukee's smoke-kissed Heaven's Table BBQ, or Neenah's family-run Legendary Gyros. Sweet tooth still calling? Chandler House Bakery (Watertown) layers pastries with farm-fresh ingredients, and Brewed Coffee Shop (Clintonville) pours the pick-me-up you'll need for Day 3. Closer to Lambeau, De Pere's The Marq Supper Club covers the brandy-old-fashioned crowd, while Green Bay staples like Maldonado's taco truck, scratch-made favorite Not By Bread Alone, and island-flavored Lil Jamaica keep things local—and delicious.
The night before the commissioner approaches the podium, visitors can experience Wisconsin's much-talked-about culinary traditions at the inaugural Taste of the Draft event (April 23 from 4–7 p.m.), hosted by acclaimed chef and TV personality Andrew Zimmern. This 21+ celebration, modeled after the popular "Taste of the NFL" Super Bowl event, brings together the best of Wisconsin's cuisine while supporting a worthy cause at Schreiber Foods headquarters in downtown Green Bay.
The tasting menu doubles as a fundraiser for GENYOUth and a roll-call of Wisconsin icons: Phoebe's haddock (Lox Supper Club), New York strip with wild-cherry demi (Bootleggers Lodge), mini Scotch eggs (Mark's East Side), crab-stuffed bacon-wrapped shrimp (Green Acres), and slow-roasted prime rib (Nightingale). Comfort plates follow—popovers (Dalles House), kraut balls (Rupps), and liver pâté with ham salad (Union Hotel)—plus a seafood trio from The Palms and Moonlight Tavern. Heft comes via MJ's pot roast, 'marry me' chicken, and Eddie's ribs. Drinks and extras include Dairy-Delicious ice-cream cocktails, Domino's Wisconsin six-cheese pizza, and Tyson/FARE's bacon-cheddar sausage with Top 9-free stuffed mushrooms.
Among the event's distinctive features is local cheese sculptor Vicki Janisch, who brings her unique artistry to the occasion. The daughter of a Wisconsin dairy farmer, Janisch combines her passion for art with her agricultural heritage through remarkable cheese carvings—including a 40-pound block of mild cheddar from Hook's Cheese in Mineral Point that she's transforming into the iconic Lombardi Trophy.

Wisconsin's food profile is on a tear—nine James Beard semifinalists in 2023—and Top Chef sealed the buzz by filming Season 21 in Madison and Milwaukee. Host Kristen Kish, judges Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons, and a pack of cheftestants sped through Madison's Dane County Farmers' Market before plating at the Harvey House; off-camera, the judges hit Wonderstate Coffee, Marigold Kitchen, Pig in a Fur Coat, and Tornado Steak House. In Milwaukee, challenges unfolded inside Miller Brewing's historic caves, Discovery World, Lupi & Iris (a 2023 Beard finalist), and American Family Field. Between takes, Kish crushed Culver's ButterBurgers, she and Simmons spooned custard at Kopp's and Leon's, and the crew detoured to Serbian staple Three Brothers, Vientiane Noodle Shop, and The Elegant Farmer.

Ravens lineman's estranged wife denies adultery claims, calls allegations 'bad faith' in divorce battle

Ben Cleveland's estranged wife is firing back at adultery allegations made by the NFL lineman. Cleveland and his estranged wife, Kaityln Terrell Cleveland, are involved in a divorce, which was first filed in February. The Baltimore Ravens lineman made adultery claims against his wife, and she called them "knowingly false." Kaitlyn Cleveland "vehemently" denied the claims in a court filing on Thursday, which Fox News Digital obtained. Kaitlyn Cleveland goes on to say the claims were made "in bad faith." She hinted that the Baltimore Ravens lineman's claims were false in March, when she posted Kelsea Ballerini lyrics on her Instagram Stories that suggested she had much to say about the divorce but couldn't speak on it. A screenshot by TMZ showed one lyric from Ballerini's song titled "Interlude" that read, "The rumors goin' 'round, but the truth is kindas nuanced. I wanna set it straight, but my lawyer says I shouldn't." In her answer and counterclaim, Kaitlyn Cleveland also requested a judge equitably split their assets while granting her alimony if they are unable to reach an agreement. Ben and Kaitlyn Cleveland have been separated since December 2024 despite the divorce filing coming in February. The date of separation was noted in the first court filing. Cleveland was a third-round pick by the Ravens in 2021, and he re-signed with the team this offseason to remain a fixture on the offensive line. He could see a larger role in 2025 after being used sparingly over his first four seasons. Cleveland has seven starts under his belt in 54 games since joining the team, all of which coming at offensive guard. After a flawless fortnight in Paris, Sinner's eye-catching run at French Open ends in heartbreak

PARIS (AP) — After a flawless fortnight in Paris, Jannik Sinner was on the brink of capturing his first French Open title on Sunday after a dominant run on the clay courts of Roland-Garros. Facing defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, the top-ranked Italian was firmly in control. Sinner's deep groundstrokes, excellent service, heavy top spin, and subtle variations had worn down Alcaraz, who found himself 5-3 down and trailing 0-40 in the fourth set, and facing three match points. At that moment, it felt like the best of all possible worlds for the 23-year-old Sinner. But then the momentum swung. Alcaraz fought back, saved the first match point when Sinner sent a forehand long. On the second, Sinner missed a return. The third ended with Alcaraz winning a short baseline exchange. Sinner had just let his chance slip away. From there, Alcaraz produced one of the greatest comeback in Roland-Garros history to win the longest final ever played on the Parisian dirt — 5 hours and 29 minutes — 4-6, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (10-2). 'It's an amazing trophy, so I won't sleep tonight very well, but it's okay,' Sinner said during the trophy ceremony. Exciting rivalry There is hardly anything between the two best players in tennis at the moment, who have now combined to win the last six Grand Slam titles and appear poised to build one of the sport's most compelling rivalries in the years ahead. Sunday's duel delivered a match of rare intensity, filled with punishing baseline rallies, exquisite drop shots, and brilliant passing shots — thrilling a packed Court Philippe-Chatrier. 'This one hurts' 'Obviously, this one hurts,' he said. 'There's not so much to say right now. But again, I'm happy with how we're trying to improve every day and put myself in these kinds of positions. It was a very high-level match, that's for sure. I'm happy to be part of it. But yeah, the final result hurts.' It was a particularly tough ending for Sinner, who had not dropped a set on his way to the final, including a dominant semifinal win over three-time French Open champion Novak Djokovic. Before facing Alcaraz, Sinner had never lost a Grand Slam final, winning his first three. A victory would have made him just the fifth man in the Open Era to win three consecutive major titles. 'I'm pretty sure you are going to be a champion, not once but many, many times,' Alcaraz told him during the trophy ceremony. 'It is a privilege to share the court with you in every tournament, making history with you.' 'Now it's my time to take something from the close people I have,' he said. 'As I've always said, before my career started, I never would've imagined finding myself in this position. It wasn't even a dream because it felt so far away — I wasn't even thinking about it. Now I find myself here, playing the longest final in the history of Roland-Garros. It hurts, yes, but on the other hand, you can't go on crying.' ___

Former Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb expected to sign with Texans: Sources

Former Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb, who is a free agent, is expected to sign with the Houston Texans on Monday, according to league sources. It is expected to be a one-year deal and is contingent on Chubb passing a physical. Chubb received more lucrative offers from other teams, but he would sign a more incentive-laden contract to join Joe Mixon in Houston's backfield. Chubb, 29, was sidelined for much of the last two seasons due to knee and foot injuries. The Texans are expected to sign RB Nick Chubb to a one-year deal, pending a physical, per sources. A second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Georgia, Chubb has impacted the Browns' ground game since his rookie season. The four-time Pro Bowler rushed for 996 yards in his first season, followed by four straight seasons of 1,000-plus yards. Advertisement Chubb's 2023 season was cut short by a serious knee injury in Week 2. He returned in Week 7 of the 2024 season, but would wind up missing the final three games that season with a broken foot. He averaged 5.2 yards per carry and 84.5 yards per game in his first five seasons, and 3.9 yards per carry and 50.2 yards per game in the past two seasons. This story will be updated.
