Susan Boyle sends message to Liam Gallagher after his special shout out to her at Murrayfield
Susan Boyle has taken to Instagram to respond to Liam's comments. Scots singing legend Susan Boyle sent a special message to Liam Gallagher after he dedicated one of Oasis' famous tracks to her at Murrayfield. The Oasis frontman, 52, gave BGT legend SuBo a shoutout at their final gig in Edinburgh on Tuesday evening. Liam was about to start their hit Stand By Me as he took to the mic and said: "This one's for Susan Boyle." Susan, 63, was quick to respond to his touching tribute as she took to Instagram in an Oasis top and her best bucket hat. The hat featured a picture of Gallagher with the title of his solo hit song and album "Why me? Why not?" Posing for the camera with two thumbs up, Susan grinned from ear to ear on her social media page. She gushed: "Thanks so much for the dedication Liam Gallagher. You've made this old girl's day." She even made a reference to The Poznan, a football celebration that has been taken on by music fans, and sees them turn their backs to the stage, place their arms around each other and jump up and down. It first started in the Polish City it is named after but became a favourite of Manchester City fans, which is the club Liam and Noel both support. Oasis fans jumped on the trend and now do it when the band performs their classic tune Cigarettes and Alcohol. Susan hinted she would also be heading to London to see Oasis when they return for their final sold out UK dates at Wembley Stadium in London. She added: "Hope to see you and the rest of Oasis at Wembley in September for a wee bit of Poznań. Big love to you all." Oasis finished their incredible three night run at Murrayfield on Tuesday evening after playing gigs on August 8, 9 and 12. Around 210,000 fans flocked to Murrayfield to see the Gallagher brothers perform in Scotland for the first time in 16 years. Their comeback in the Capital saw Oasis beat their previous ground-shaking record at Murrayfield as they set a new peak score for the most SEISMIC performance the venue has ever seen. While Gallagher had kind words for Susan, he had a very different opinion of Edinburgh Council. At each of Oasis' Scottish gigs, he took a savage swipe at local authority chiefs. Liam was left fuming at council bosses after they branded Oasis fans as 'drunk, lairy, fat, and old' in secret safety briefings. Officials claimed that the concert-goers would be mainly 'rowdy' 'middle-aged men' who 'take up more room' and will drink to 'medium to high intoxication'. Liam called out snooty Edinburgh council officials over their remarks on several occasions. Their next stop on the UK leg of their tour is Dublin where they will perform two nights at Croke park this weekend.

Taylor Swift confirms October album release for The Life of A Showgirl
Taylor Swift confirms October album release for The Life of A Showgirl The news came during Swift's appearance on the New Heights podcast, hosted by her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, who formerly played for the Philadelphia Eagles. (Image: Getty) Taylor Swift has announced that her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, will be released on October 3. The news came during Swift's appearance on the New Heights podcast, hosted by her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, who formerly played for the Philadelphia Eagles. Unveiling a copy of the new record, the singer said: "This is my new album, The Life Of A Showgirl. It's something I was working on while I was in Europe on the Eras tour." Travis Kelce said the fact that Swift recorded the album while simultaneously travelling the world for her sold-out tour was "still blowing my mind". Swift said: "I just love music. I would be playing shows three nights in a row, then I would have three days off. "I would fly to Sweden. Working on this, I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating." Article continues below In an Instagram post, the 35-year-old revealed the album's artwork and 12-track listing – with Sabrina Carpenter featuring on the title song and only collaboration. Swift teased the upcoming record was "a lot more upbeat" than 2024's The Tortured Poets Department. The Life Of A Showgirl will also mark her reunion with producers Max Martin and Shellback. "It feels kind of, energetically, how my life has felt," she said about this new album. The Life Of A Showgirl is Swift's first album since regaining control of her back catalogue and purchasing the rights to all of her concert films, music videos, album art and photography, as well as her unreleased songs. The US popstar re-recorded her first six albums and released them as Taylor's Version, following a dispute with retired talent manager Scooter Braun. Braun acquired the back catalogue when he bought Swift's former label. Her master copies were then sold in a deal with Shamrock Capital, before Swift purchased them from the company in May. Swift has released new versions of Fearless, Red, Speak Now, and 1989, but is yet to release her debut self-titled album or 2017's Reputation. Speaking about acquiring her master recordings, Swift said: "A lot of record deals are set up in a way that artists don't own their master recordings. Owning your master recordings means that you have complete control and power over distribution, licensing, and essentially the way your legacy is shaped. "My music has been sold a few times. The first time it was sold, it really ripped my heart out of my chest. "I started basically defiantly re-recording my music because I wanted to own it. And this was the only way I thought it was ever going to happen. "Re-recording my music, it was so exciting to get to have that opportunity. But I still thought about not owning my music every day. "After the Eras tour, I had a meeting with my team and we decided this might be a good time to approach the current owners of it." Swift then became emotional as she described the phone call from her mother afterwards to tell her "you got your music". Her 12th studio album comes after Swift's billion-dollar, record-breaking Eras Tour ended in December. Article continues below She made history last summer when the tour became the highest-grossing of all time, and Swift became the first solo artist to perform at London's Wembley Stadium eight times on a single tour. Swift has had four UK number one singles and 13 UK number one albums, and some of her best-known songs include Love Story, Shake It Off and 22.
