New restaurants and cafes opening in Glasgow this Spring

Here are seven new openings to look out for in the coming weeks:
Cuvée
1 Lynedoch Street
This new Champagne, wine, and cheese bar will open upstairs at a 'grand townhouse' in Woodlands on Saturday, April 26.
The team will make the most of the space's period features to enhance what would have been a smart city drawing room, now a 30-cover lounge, with seats for 16 at the bar.
Located next door to Rascal cocktail bar, Cuvée will serve a wide selection of Champagnes, Cremant, wines and a 'bijou' cocktail list complemented by a small plates and sharing cheese and meats menu.
Gemma Allan, regional sales manager for Möet Hennessy, LVMH, said: 'We are thrilled to partner with Cuvée in Glasgow to bring a new and exciting Champagne experience to the city.
"Our collaboration allows us to showcase an extensive selection of our most prestigious Champagnes by the glass, providing an opportunity for guests to savour and appreciate the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that Moët Hennessy is renowned for.
"Cuvée is set to become a premier destination for Champagne lovers and those seeking a sophisticated and memorable evening.'
Corner shop
45 Old Dumbarton Road
New neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar Cornershop promises a menu of small plates including tempura hand-dived scallops, jamon iberico, whole Dover sole with chicken and clam sauce and grilled chilli squid.
Wines will be sourced in partnership with local and independent merchants and importers, and, wherever possible, the team will showcase producers who use organic practices.
You might recognise the unit as the former home of Grain and Grind coffee shop, but following extensive refurbishment work, we're eager to see how the new owners have reimagined the space.
Zennor
287 Langside Road
Fans of this stylish East End coffee shop will likely have been keeping a close eye on updates concerning a second Zennor location in Glasgow.
Alongside a sneak peek at the new interiors shared on social media earlier this month, owners Sophie and Kieran said: "After getting the keys in December, the past four months have been incredibly gruelling.
"Every waking moment has been spent building this new space- it truly has been a labour of love.
"From furniture design to fabrication, we have done it all and are so proud of what we've achieved- it's definitely been a journey, but we can't wait to show you what we've created."
Taking over the space from the hugely popular TwoEightSeven bakery in Govanhill, the team welcomed their first Southside customers last week with a menu of freshly baked pastries and speciality coffee.
Egg Daddy
173 Centre Street
Hailed as 'Scotland's first egg bar', Egg Daddy opened in the city's Kinning Park area at the beginning of this month.
The concept centres on huge egg sandwiches prepared with 'eggstra love' and a range of additional fillings like veggie-friendly grilled mushrooms, chives and cheddar cheese or the 'Smash Daddy' with an Aberdeen Angus beef patty and sriracha mayo.
The Real Wan
10 Clincart Road
Already beloved by Glasgow foodies, The Real Wan is back and better than ever following a move from their original matchbox-sized unit in Cathcart to a much larger space in Mount Florida.
(Read more: This is what Scotland has been waiting for when it comes to real Chinese food' – Ron Mackenna's restaurant review of The Real Wan)
Owner, Lea Wu, said: "We are now in a better place, but my original motivation and idea for The Real Wan will never change.
"The food quality won't change. The appreciation for you guys won't change. The bond between the taste of The Real Wan and all you foodies won't change."
On that note, expect South-West Chinese dishes of braised beef mooli and tangy pickled Chinese greens in traditional broth, fried aubergine in fermented chilli paste and chicken thighs slow-cooked with Guiyang home-style chilli.

Lychee Oriental
67 Kilmarnock Road
Big changes are underway at the Kilmarnock Road unit, which has until recently been the location of Salt and Chilli from Glasgow chef Jimmy Lee.
According to new signage and a pop-up message on the team's website, TikTok-famous Lee will soon be replacing Salt and Chilli with a sister outlet to his city centre restaurant, Lychee Oriental.

Should they introduce a menu similar to that of the original Lychee, Southsiders can look forward to dishes like Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken, claypot duck with pickled ginger and spring onion and Thai style crispy seabass.
Café XO
Inn Deep, 445 Great Western Road
Café XO, led by Andrew Manson, celebrates "all things umami" with a menu featuring the likes of short rib of beef rendang, watermelon salad and black sesame or cured sea trout with buttermilk, dashi, pickled fennel and togarashi.
"Café XO isn't just about serving food—it's about sharing a movement," the chef explained.
"It's about creating an experience where passion, skill, and enjoyment take centre stage.
"I want to bring back the joy of cooking, serving, and truly connecting with guests, without the constant pressure of hitting targets and squeezing every penny out of the process.
"When the focus is on delivering a memorable experience for everyone involved, everything else will follow naturally.'
The team has recently announced plans to join the Clydeside Containers line-up later this spring, but for now, you can also catch them at Inn Deep bar in the city's West End.

Major US retail brand makes comeback following bankruptcy

Sophie-May Williams Published August 1, 2025 12:30pm Link is copied Comments A major US retailer that filed for bankruptcy will be reopening its doors under a new name this month. Bed Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy in April 2023 and shuttered its final store months later. Beyond Inc., formerly known as purchased the company out of bankruptcy the same year. To make matters more confusing, it's actually The Brand House Collective — previously called Kirkland's — that will be taking over the Bed Bath & Beyond brand in physical stores (Picture: Getty Images) The Brand House Collective's press release this week announced the 'grand opening' of its first Bed Bath & Beyond Home store. The store is set to open on August 8 and will be located in Brentwood, Nashville, Tennessee. It's not just exciting news for the revival of Bed Bath & Beyond, though. This store will be the first for The Brand House Collective under its new name. This follows the approval of shareholders at the company's annual meeting on July 24 (Picture: Getty Images) Amy Sullivan, CEO of The Brand House Collective, said in the press release how 'proud' the company is to 'reintroduce one of retail's most iconic names with the launch of Bed Bath & Beyond Home.' She said the products and brand have been 'beautifully reimagined for how families gather at home today' (Picture: Getty Images) Sullivan added: 'This isn't just a store, it's a fresh start for a brand that means something special to so many families. With Bed Bath & Beyond Home, we're delivering on our mission to offer great brands, for any budget, in every room. It's a powerful addition to our portfolio and a meaningful step forward in our transformation' (Picture: Getty Images) For those in the Nashville area, you might want to listen up. Because, to celebrate the launch, the company is bringing back the Bed Bath & Beyond coupon. According to CNN, these oversized coupons for 20% off a single item were launched three decades ago. Interestingly, Sullivan said that customers who still have their old coupons will be able to use them, as they're still valid. Similarly, those requiring a fresh coupon will be able to pick one up 'at the door' (Picture: Getty Images) This isn't the only marketing strategy involved in the launch. Sullivan revealed that the first 25 customers to make a purchase at the Nashville store will receive an 'incredible free gift.' The award in question? The Beyond Bed, a premium 10" memory foam queen-size mattress, which is regularly valued at $226.99. Sullivan concluded her statement by asking customers, new and old, to join their 'homecoming celebration where nostalgia meets fresh possibilities, and every customer becomes part of our exciting new chapter!' (Picture: Getty Images) US residents in Nashville, Tennessee and beyond, you'll soon be able to shop 'til you drop at other The Brand House Collective locations. In the company's June press release, it stated plans to open five more stores in the Nashville area. Plus, convert around 75 of its home stores throughout 2026, pending the results of the initial market (Picture: Getty Images)

Mria Labs Enters CRM Market With Mria CRM to Bring Native Customer Management to Jira

DOVER, DE, July 31, 2025 (EZ Newswire) -- Mria Labs, opens new tab, founded by experienced Atlassian Marketplace professionals, has officially entered the CRM market with the announcement of Mria CRM, opens new tab — the first customer relationship management solution built natively for Jira. Designed to close a long-standing gap for Jira users, Mria CRM brings customer management directly into the platform where teams already manage product, delivery and support. The company has released a visual preview of the core modules and confirmed that the product is planned for release in fall 2025. A Long-Standing Gap in Jira For years, Jira has been the go-to platform for teams managing projects, product development and support operations. However, it has lacked a true CRM system that allows sales, product and delivery teams to work in one unified space. Teams often attempt to customize Jira for lead and deal tracking or rely on standalone CRM tools that break the connection with day-to-day project work. Mria Labs, with deep expertise in the Atlassian ecosystem, aims to close this gap. The company is building a native CRM solution that works where teams already work, with no need for syncs, external integrations or complex workarounds. From Experience to Solution Mria CRM is the result of years of working inside the Atlassian ecosystem and observing how teams push Jira beyond its original scope. While Jira is central to how many organizations manage delivery, support and internal collaboration, it has never offered a native way to manage customers. The need for a CRM that works directly in Jira has surfaced repeatedly, not just as a feature request, but as a structural gap that affects how teams sell, deliver and retain business. Mria CRM is being developed to close that gap with a fully native solution designed specifically for cross-functional teams operating in Jira every day. 'We've been part of the Atlassian ecosystem for years. We saw teams trying to use Jira as a CRM, and we did the same. We customized it, extended it, hit the same limits and ended up switching to a standalone system that broke the connection between teams. That's what we're fixing. With Mria CRM, we're building what should have existed all along: one system where product, sales, and engineering work together as one team, inside Jira, driving revenue and customer success,' said Anton Storozhuk, opens new tab, CEO and founder of Mria Labs. Mria CRM: A CRM That Is Jira Mria CRM is being developed as a Jira-native system to eliminate silos and sync issues between departments. It enables users to manage leads, deals, contacts and company relationships directly inside Jira, alongside support tickets and delivery tasks. The interface is designed to follow Jira's native experience, reducing the need for training or platform switching. The product is being developed on Atlassian Forge, ensuring deep native integration, consistent performance and adherence to Atlassian's latest architecture standards. The first visual preview showcases four core modules: See the first Mria CRM preview: Visual Overview of Mria CRM Core Modules, opens new tab Why a CRM in Jira? Mria CRM's positioning is clear: one account, one system, one team. Instead of switching between tools and managing scattered data, teams can keep all customer and project information inside Jira. This reduces complexity, improves collaboration and allows B2B organizations to close deals faster and retain customers without losing context between departments. Learn more in 10 Reasons You Need a CRM Inside Jira, opens new tab. 'Sales, product and engineering should not operate in silos. Our goal with Mria CRM is to create a single environment where customer success is not just a handover between teams but a shared effort, supported by one tool,' Storozhuk added. The Industry Context for Mria CRM In recent years, major work management platforms like ServiceNow and have entered the CRM space. Though not traditional CRM vendors, they recognized the growing need to unify customer data with operational workflows. These moves reflect a broader shift in the market: CRM is no longer seen as a standalone tool but as an essential layer within the systems teams already use to work and collaborate. Team collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Slack are also deepening their CRM integrations, signaling rising demand for cross-functional alignment. As customer relationships span sales, support, delivery and finance, the most effective CRM tools are being built directly into platforms where that work already happens. Mria CRM brings customer relationship management into Jira, the platform of choice for managing product delivery, support and core operations. Atlassian serves over 300,000 customers in more than 200 countries, and more than 40% of Fortune 500 companies rely on Jira Service Management as part of their IT and service delivery stack. While others are extending into CRM to close gaps between service and customer workflows, Jira already stands as an operational cornerstone for teams worldwide. Mria CRM completes that platform by embedding CRM directly in Jira. It enables product, sales and engineering teams to collaborate in one system, with no added tools and no loss of context. Mria CRM Launch Plans Mria CRM is currently in development, with the release confirmed for fall 2025.
