Where Wisconsin's class of 2026 ranks nationally, in Big Ten after Zion Legree's addition
Wisconsin made headlines on Sunday evening, as it landed a commitment from class of 2026 athlete Zion Legree, a former Ole Miss commit.
Legree pledged to the Badgers immediately following his official visit. He became just the second prospect from either Wisconsin's June 6 or 13 visit weekend to commit, following three-star defensive back and June 6 visitor Zachary Taylor. The program previously excelled during the May 30 visit weekend, landing five high-priority prospects.
Wisconsin's class of 2026 is up to 13 commitments with Legree's addition. That group now ranks No. 33 nationally and No. 11 in the Big Ten. The Badgers still trail Indiana (No. 26 nationally), Michigan State (No. 25), Washington (No. 17), Minnesota (No. 15), UCLA (No. 14), Illinois (No. 12), Rutgers (No. 10) and others.
On one hand, every one of those higher-ranked classes has more players committed than Wisconsin as of June 16, which could lead the Badgers to rise once those numbers are evened out. On the other hand, Wisconsin has yet to land a blue-chip prospect in the cycle, something it must do if it is to surpass those highly-ranked groups.
Focus now turns to four-star running back Amari Latimer, wide receiver Jayden Petit and several other blue-chip prospects from Wisconsin's May 30 visit weekend. Their commitment decisions will decide the trajectory of the Badgers' class as the summer months come to a close.

Florida lands three-star OT Tyler Chukuyem, capping another big recruiting win for 2026
Florida lands three-star OT Tyler Chukuyem, capping another big recruiting win for 2026 The Florida Gators' class of 2026 remained scorching hot on Monday when three-star offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem announced his commitment, per Blake Alderman of Gators Online. The 6-foot-6-inch, 290-pound offensive tackle out of South Paulding High School in Douglasville, Georgia, becomes Florida's fourth offensive line pledge and the 12th overall commitment in the cycle, continuing the momentum Billy Napier's staff has generated this summer. Chukuyem needed only one visit to know Gainesville was home. During his weekend stay, he sampled the campus culture, dove into Florida's academic resources and sat down with line coach Rob Sale to break down film and future plans. "They have a new field coming up for what I want to study," Chukuyem told Gators Online. "I'm trying to study data analytics. Like I said before, they have a good education carries a lot, because education is the number one priority for me and my family. Education is a big deciding factor." By the time he left on Sunday, he had quietly informed the staff he was ready to shut down his recruitment. Chukuyem said conversations with Sale and assistant line coach Darnell Stapleton convinced him he would be developed properly–a sentiment reinforced after watching film of recent Gator lineman thriving on Sundays. His commitment pushes Florida's 2026 haul to a dozen names, joining four-star quarterback Will Griffin, four-star receiver Justin Williams and fellow big men Chancellor Campbell, G'Nivre Carr and Javarii Luckas in what's quickly becoming a foundational class up front. Florida football's summer run shows no sign of slowing, and landing a high-ceiling tackle out of the Peach State underscores the staff's focus on replenishing the offensive line with athletic, academically motivated prospects. Recruiting Summary Chukuyem enters Florida's class with solid three-star credentials across the major scouting services. The 247Sports proprietary grade pegs him at 89 overall, ranking him the No. 36 offensive tackle and No. 47 prospect in Georgia. On3's industry metric places him as the No. 67 offensive tackle and No. 86 prospect in the state. New York Knicks reportedly interested in trading for former MSU star Jaren Jackson Jr.
New York Knicks reportedly interested in trading for former MSU star Jaren Jackson Jr. A former Michigan State basketball star is reportedly a top target on the trade market for one of the biggest teams in the NBA. Kris Pursiainen of NBA Central is reporting that the New York Knicks are interested in trading for former Michigan State Spartans star Jaren Jackson Jr. According to Pursiainen, the Knicks consider Jackson and Karl-Anthony Towns as a "dream pairing." There has been some chatter over the past few days that the Memphis Grizzlies could trade away Jackson as part of freeing up salary cap space. There was a new report from ESPN on Monday that stated the Grizzlies aren't looking to move the former Spartan but things, of course, could change quickly. Jackson has played all seven of his NBA seasons with the Grizzlies after they drafted him with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. Jackson has became a star in the NBA, winning Defensive Player of the Year twice and earning an All-Star selection twice in the last three seasons. We will have to keep a close eye on the developments around Jackson as he could be on the move this offseason or could simply remain with the Grizzlies.
