Katie Price brands herself a ‘sinner' in new bombshell statement – and claims ‘fake' ex Peter is ‘playing the victim'

The Sun20 hours ago
KATIE Price has publicly hit out at ex Peter Andre in a new statement, where she admits she is a 'sinner' but brands him a 'fake saint'.
Taking to instagram this evening, Katie didn't mention Peter by name in her post but was clearly taking a swipe at her ex following their public fallout.

She wrote: "Saints and Sinners. As we know, in this life we are thought of as Saints and Sinners.
"I know I will always be seen as a Sinner. That's fair, I allowed myself to fall into a reliance on drugs and alcohol. At times I was not the mother I should have been while I struggled with mental illness.
"I have been at times a poor friend, an awful sibling, and an untrustworthy partner. I've self-medicated, been unfaithful, damaged myself and those that I love."
Katie continued: "I've had my reasons - I was sexually abused when younger; had relationships that have been coercive; and my mental health issues - but I don't want to make excuses. I've recognised my issues and worked to put them behind me.
"Sometimes | tried and failed, sometimes I succeeded. I've pulled myself out of a suicidal spiral because I love my children and want to be there for them. I don't pretend to be perfect by any means - but I'm trying to be the best I can."
She went on to seemingly then turn her attention to Pete, saying: "Then there are the "Saints". Some are genuine and some have helped me. But some Saints are not who they would have you believe they are. They have a carefully managed image which must be exhausting to maintain.
"Some Saints are fake. They play the victim and to succeed in life they need a villain...or at least a Sinner. Without the Sinner they don't get to be the Saint...
Katie concluded: "As a Sinner - I sometimes get bored of these Saints. But maybe I should feel sorry for them, It must be such hard work having to pretend all the time. Anyway, all you Sinners keep your heads up and keep trying to be better. All you Saints, it's ok not to be perfect."

Jodie Whittaker is far too good for this contrived Aussie thriller

You'd be forgiven for thinking you've seen something like this before, as the Australia-set thrillers have been coming to our screens thick and fast recently (see also The Last Anniversary, The Secrets She Keeps, Apples Never Fall). This one, which had a brief showing on Paramount+ in 2023 but is now on ITV1, stars former Doctor Who lead Jodie Whittaker. Sadly it's so lacklustre that Whittaker might wish that she'd opted to eat kangaroo genitalia on I'm a Celebrity with Ant and Dec instead. Since hanging up her sonic screwdriver, Whittaker has spread her wings in eclectic roles. She played an imprisoned single mother in gut-punch BBC drama Time and was the standout star of Netflix's factual drama Toxic Town. Here she loses her native Yorkshire tones to adopt an Australian accent. I'm no expert in Antipodean linguistics, but she does a decent job. Set on the stunning New South Wales coast, One Night follows three women – Tess (Whittaker), Simone (Nicole da Silva) and Hat (Yael Stone) – who remain haunted by a harrowing event during their teens. Twenty years later, Simone writes a thinly disguised novel about that fateful night. It reopens wounds in cathartic ways. There's the germ of an interesting drama here about trauma and truth, justice and healing. But whenever it looks about to emerge, it gets bogged down in repetitive flashbacks or clichéd contrivances. Supporting characters are uniformly ghastly – either leering small-town gangsters, spoilt kids or self-serving adults. Worst of all, there's a fatal flaw at the heart of the story. Simone stole Tess's tragedy for her own gain, yet we're supposed to sympathise as she makes her friend's pain all about her. Stretched out over six episodes, One Night moves with all the urgency of an asthmatic koala. With its ocean views and high-flying female friends, it's a try-hard Sydney spin on Big Little Lies. Whittaker is rawly convincing as a sexual assault victim whose repressed memories come bubbling to the surface. Tess is a mass of body issues: bulimic, covered in tattoos, prone to pulling her hair out. There's a wordless scene in the finale where Whittaker acts her socks off with facial expressions alone. It's just a shame the script isn't in the same league as her performance. One Night is available now on ITVX and begins on ITV1 on Saturday 16 August at 9.30pm

Karren Brady, 56, looks incredible as she shows off new look in figure-hugging white dress

KARREN Brady looked incredible as she showed off her new look in a figure-hugging white dress. The Baroness, 56, always looks glam whether it's suited and booted on The Apprentice or in pretty dresses for the red carpet. 4 But Karren still managed to stun her followers with her latest Instagram snap. The star looked sensational in a white summer dress with thick shoulder straps and a square neckline. The garment cinched in at her slim waist and Karren's hair was styled in perfect waves over one shoulder, while her make up was flawless. If it wasn't obvious Karren was feeling good by the picture, she certainly made it clear in the caption as she heaped praise on a new treatment she has had on her arms. She wrote: "I never thought I'd be able to wear short sleeves again, but after a course of Exion skin-tightening with radio frequency, I can! "Exion uses radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound to naturally boost hyaluronic acid by up to 224%, while stimulating collagen and elastin for smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking skin - all with no needles, no pain, and no downtime." She concluded excitedly: "Bring on the sleeveless tops!" Karren's fans were quick to compliment her, with one writing: "You look incredible. Aka Jennifer Lopez. So very beautiful." Another added: "As per you look amazing. your achievements are my goals." A third commented: "You look incredible x." West Ham chief Karren Brady has her say on VAR in Premier League and predicts 'a season of anger and confusion' As well as juggling her TV work and her role as Vice Chair at West Ham football club, Karren is also gearing up to become a grandmother again. Her daughter Sophia Peschisolido announced she was expecting her second child with fiancé Frankie Makin back in April. The couple already have one-year-old son, but they have never revealed his name. 4
