10 creative cocktails to sip around Dubai this World Cocktail Day
Price: Dhs80
Say hello to your new favourite aperitif. This inventive cocktail celebrates Mediterranean tradition with Moscatel wine, pisco, honey, and lemon juice, but the real kicker? A generous dusting of freshly grated Parmesan Reggiano on top. Sweet, floral, sharp and just the right amount of salty, it's a flavour pairing that just works. Where: Kira Restaurant, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab
Price: Dhs85
Looking for something elegant with a twist? This peach and rosemary-infused drink blends St-Germain elderflower liqueur, Paragon white Penja pepper cordial, elderflower tonic and fresh lemon juice, all served in a beautiful glass that's as much a treat for the eyes as it is for the palate. Where: Bar Du Port, Dubai Harbour
Price: Dhs110
A cocktail with quiet power. Kawa stirs smoky matcha with bright yuzu, orange, and fresh lime, landing somewhere between earthy, tangy, and just sweet enough. A nod to modern Asian flavours, it's layered, balanced, and seriously easy to get lost in.
Where: CE LA VI
Bright, bittersweet, and dressed with a little sparkle, The 50 Special stirs Aperol with house-made orange and rosemary cordial, fresh strawberry, and a splash of Prosecco. Served in a bespoke ceramic Vespa glass, it's a nod to Italian craft with a playful twist.
Where: Signor Sassi, St. Regis Gardens.
Price: Dhs90
Alma Bar puts a bold spin on the Old Fashioned with this mix of rich spices and date-infused warmth, echoing the heritage of Dubai in every sip.
Where: Alma Bar, DIFC

Ruby's Choice
Butterfly pea tea, elderflower, bamboo leaf, and sparkling wine come together in this floral-meets-earthy pour at Ruby Ru. Delicate yet bold, with a shimmer of twilight charm.

Copper Coupe
At Iris Dubai, the Margarita gets a glow-up with Mijenta Reposado, aged in red wine barrels for a subtle blush and a rose-like vibe. Unexpected, elegant, and easy to love.

Cyber Samourai
Neon-lit and electric, this cocktail at CLAP channels cyberpunk energy with a futuristic twist. Where bold flavour meets Tokyo cool.

New Japanese restaurant, KIGO, to open in DIFC, Dubai next month
There's a gorgeous new restaurant coming to the fancy-restaurant-capital of Dubai, DIFC and it's by the group behind GAIA, Shanghai ME, Maison de la Plage and more huge success stories in Dubai. Fundamental Hospitality is bringing KIGO to the Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre and the restaurant offers counter style dining built around omakase, a Japanese phrase meaning 'I'll leave it up to you', where guests entrust the chef to craft a bespoke, multi-course journey that evolves with the seasons. The new restaurant is set to open in Dubai in September. The experience begins before you step into the restaurant, on the terrace, where guests cross a stone path and a minimalist dry garden as they make their way into the 44-seat dining room. In the centre, you'll find a striking sushi counter crafted from rare Aji stone sourced from a single mountain in Japan's Kagawa area, known for its 40,000-year history and enduring strength. Find artwork by Eiki Kimura, drawing on the Rimpa-style. The whole restaurant oozes creativity and authenticity to the Japanese culture. The name KIGO originates from Japanese haiku poetry, encompassing words or phrases that capture the essence of each season, and the restaurant is also doing just that with its concept. KIGO's menu is as carefully created as the decor, ingredients are selected for their cultural resonance and only when they reach their fullest flavour. When you visit KIGO, as you sit at the stone counter, you can witness each dish come to life before your eyes as the chef crafts a personalised omakase in real time or if you prefer, opt for the set kaiseki menu that represents the luxury culture of Japan. For drinks, you'll find rare sakes exclusive to the region, including one produced by a brewery from the birthplace of Head Chef Akinori Tanigawa. You can expect premium cocktails too, each served with a poetic micro story. Chef Izu is loved by the Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and he regularly visits his restaurants. If it's good enough for Sheikh Hamdan, it's good enough for us. The best places to sip Prosecco in Abu Dhabi this Prosecco Day
There's something about Prosecco that feels like sunshine in a glass. It's light, a little cheeky, and dangerously easy to drink. Today, August 13, the world toasts to Italy's favourite fizz, and while Abu Dhabi might not have rolling vineyards, it knows how to pop a cork in style. From rooftop bars with a view to cosy lounges with mood lighting and a flute in hand, here's where to get your sparkle on. And if bubbles without the buzz are more your thing, don't worry.
