The visit will also include a trilateral consultative meeting bringing together Safadi, Fidan, and Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Al-Shaibani. The three officials will exchange views on a range of regional and international matters of mutual concern.

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing is currently implementing a series of new projects in Tafilah Governorate as part of a long-term vision and comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing infrastructure and road networks across the region, with a total investment exceeding 9.471 million Jordanian dinars. اضافة اعلان Six New Development Projects Under Study Ministry spokesperson Omar Maharmeh stated that six new development projects are under consideration over the next four years. These include: A comprehensive cultural center An environmental park A new administrative building for the Bseira district A Civil Status and Passport Office in Al-Hasa Completion of the Tafila Model School and the Qadisiyah Boys' Elementary School The ministry is also currently executing several secondary projects across the governorate's districts. Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Projects 74,000 dinars allocated for road maintenance across the governorate, including asphalt removal, pothole patching, roadside cleaning, and culvert maintenance, with a completion period of 270 days. 238,000 dinars for rehabilitating the Qanan-Thawabiya Road, including gabion walls and obstacle removal, over 120 days. 253,000 dinars for improving secondary and agricultural roads in Ain Al-Bayda and Al-Hussein, involving road widening, asphalt layering, and safety enhancements, over 120 days. 299,000 dinars for paving the Jerf–Tafilah Road with similar rehabilitation measures. 437,000 dinars for upgrading the Silk Triangle–Aboor Road, including full roadbed preparation and modern lighting installations. 153,000 dinars to pave agricultural roads in Ain Al-Bayda and Al-Hussein, aiming to enhance access and support agricultural activity. 93,000 dinars for constructing a retaining wall near the Royal Highway in the Al-Rashideen/ Ain Al-Bayda area to ensure traffic sustainability. 136,000 dinars to pave a new service road along the Desert Highway in Al-Hasa to improve local connectivity. Lighting and Safety Enhancements 174,000 dinars allocated for lighting the Sharif Al-Janoub–Ghrandal Road to improve traffic safety. 430,000 dinars for phase one of lighting the Al-Hasa–Tafilah Road, covering 14 km with standard streetlights. 446,000 dinars for phase two of the same road, using energy-saving LED lights on both single and double-arm poles. Public Buildings and Facilities Completion of a multi-purpose sports hall for Bseira Club (1,303 m²), costing 627,000 dinars. Completion of Qadisiyah Health Center, a three-story building, funded by a Spanish grant exceeding 1 million dinars. Strategic Vision for Development The total estimated cost of the six key development projects is 9.471 million dinars, with the most prominent being the cultural center (estimated at 4.5 million dinars). Although design studies have been completed, some challenges remain—such as delays in financial commitment documents and land zoning adjustments. Maharmeh emphasized that these projects align with the ministry's broader efforts to support sustainable development and improve the quality of life in Tafilah through the enhancement of healthcare, education, cultural, and recreational infrastructure. Ongoing Central Projects Improving the Tafila–Karak Road, from Abu Al-Banna to the security checkpoint, 17 km in length, with a budget of 1.9 million dinars, set to begin within weeks and expected to take 6 months. Maintenance work on the Royal Highway from Dlagha checkpoint to Ras Al-Naqab in Ma'an Governorate has been tendered and awarded for 370,000 dinars. These initiatives represent a significant investment in Tafilah's infrastructure and service networks, reinforcing the governorate's position on Jordan's national development map.

According to data from the Central Bank of Jordan, remittances from Jordanians abroad rose by 3% in the first quarter of this year, reaching $889 million. Sultan also noted that the return of thousands of Jordanian expats to spend the Eid holiday in the Kingdom, along with increased tourism activity, further drives demand for the dinar. He stressed the importance of this financial activity in supporting the national economic cycle. Amman Chamber of Industry exports continued their upward momentum in 2025, reflecting the resilience of Jordanian industry in overcoming challenges and expanding its presence in export markets. اضافة اعلان During the first five months of 2025, the Chamber's exports grew by 12.2% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching JD 2.849 billion, up from JD 2.540 billion. Sector Performance Most industrial sectors experienced export growth during this period, with the exception of: Wood, furniture: ↓ 14% Packaging, paper, office supplies: ↓ 9.2% On the other hand, exports of eight other sub-sectors increased, led by: Construction materials: ↑ 86.7% (highest) Engineering, electrical, IT: ↑ 0.5% (lowest) Top Export Destinations India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq accounted for over JD 1.635 billion, more than half of the total exports.
