KUALA LUMPUR: Plan your route in advance if you are heading to the Manchester United football match in Bukit Jalil on Wednesday (May 28).
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Aidil Bolhassan, in a statement on Tuesday (May 27), said the match between the English Premier League team and the Asean All Stars will see around 70,000 fans in attendance.
He urged the public to avoid the roads leading to Stadium Bukit Jalil for those not watching the match and for fans attending to use public transport.
'Obey the instructions of the police on the ground and keep a patient and polite demeanour when driving. Do not park cars by the roadside along entrances and exits to the stadium.
'Summons will be issued and cars towed away if they are found to obstruct traffic,' he said.
ACP Aidil also said that strict checks will be conducted to prevent contraband such as weapons, alcohol and fireworks from being sneaked into the stadium.
'All entrances to the stadium will be opened at 5.30pm.
'As a precaution, inspections will be conducted, including body and bag checks,' he said.
