Did a man die performing TikTok water tank challenge? Truth behind viral video
The clip shows a man entering headfirst into a large water-filled barrel during what appears to be a TikTok livestream. After a few seconds, he begins to thrash around frantically inside the tank before going completely still. Viewers were quick to assume that he had drowned due to limited movement and lack of oxygen in the confined space.
The footage quickly spread, sparking fear, outrage, and a flurry of reactions online.
One person wrote, 'Is it really worth doing these foolish things just to try to feel validated and accepted by others? You don't play with life, and this is the perfect example of the misuse of social media.'
Another wrote, 'Forgive me but excuse me, the thing is that when someone dies because of these kinds of viral challenges and nonsense they got themselves into, I find it very hard to empathize with them and mourn their death. The truth is, I think if you're capable of doing innocent things for a few simple.'
However, not everyone believed the video was authentic. Some users called it staged or outright fake.
One user commented, 'They don't say the name, where was it? When? The tank isn't small, was there no one else there? The broadcast continued, in conclusion: fake.'
Another added, 'Nah, totally false, first of all, the tank is big enough to allow turning, when he sticks out his hand, he could easily have stuck out his head, the tank is smaller than him, I once saw him jump into the tank and he always put on a show of not being able to get out.'

The Truth behind the video
A community note on X helped clarify the situation. The man in the video is a TikToker known as Smil King, and he did not die. In fact, the video is from 2023, not recent.
'This TikToker known as Smil King creates this type of content, and he's not deceased. This video is from 2023,' the note said.
Smil King remains active on TikTok and has posted several similar water tank videos.

Labubu loses its sparkle? Inside the rise and crash of a demonic doll due to Lafufus
Once just a doodle in artist Kasing Lung's sketchpad, Labubu morphed into a pastel pop icon. Its freaky-cute grin and pointy ears earned it a blind-box empire, and with Pop Mart's savvy drops, it became emotional currency. Owning a Labubu was not just a flex—it was a full-blown aesthetic. The Labubu era: From sketchbook to status symbol Everyone from Rihanna to Lisa of BLACKPINK flexed their freaky little friends. Telegram groups buzzed with drop alerts. Resellers made stacks. Even the Louvre joined in with museum-only exclusives. But behind the hype, Pop Mart ran a masterclass in curated scarcity, geo-locked releases, chase editions, app-only lotteries. Fans played the game because they had to. Fake Labubus aka Lafufus crash the party Fast-forward to summer 2024: the fantasy cracked wide open. Police in Shanghai raided a fake Labubu ring—over 5,000 bootlegs sold for millions under the radar. Customs officials called them 'Lafufus,' and the knockoffs went viral for all the wrong reasons. This was more than fraud. It was emotional whiplash. Long-time collectors saw their tight-knit community diluted. Resale values plunged. Fans questioned if Pop Mart cared about connection or just data. Even QR tags and authenticity guides could not patch the sinking vibes. Fandom fatigue and the cost of hype What once felt like a movement now feels like a warning sign. Reddit threads read like post-hype group therapy. TikTokers talk about being 'played by plastic.' As the thrill fades, fans are asking: Was it about the dolls or just the drama? Imagine an alternate timeline where Pop Mart doubled down on storytelling, not scarcity. Exclusive lore drops, fan events, lore expansions, Labubu could have been the next Pokémon, not just another TikTok trend with a shelf life. What Labubu's fall says about us Labubu was never just a toy. It was a portal—for Gen Z, for misfits, for anyone craving control in a chaotic world. It dangled prestige for less, letting people hang it off Prada bags and feel part of something. But emotional commerce is fragile, and blind boxes do not build loyalty. Maybe Labubu is not over. Maybe it evolves. But one thing is clear: in 2025, the collectibles that win will not just chase clout—they will build community that lasts longer than a drop window.

Hrithik Roshan's 17-Year-Old Son Hridaan Runs From Paps As They Scare Him; Fans ANGRY
A viral video shows paprazzi chasing after Hridaan Roshan as he runs away from them and looks upset. Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan and his ex-wife Sussanne Khan are proud parents to two sons — 19-year-old Hrehaan and 17-year-old Hridaan. Both boys usually maintain a low profile and are rarely seen in the public eye. As such, anytime the boys make a public appearance, the internet laps it up. However, a recent incident with Hridaan has left fans in shock. A viral video shows paparazzi chasing Hridaan after the boy spots them and runs away from them. The cameras don't stop clicking even after Hridaan sits in his car and looks visibly upset by the attention. The video shows how the young boy is uncomfortable around the shutterbugs, who continue to chase him. Have a look here: The video has angered fans, who took to Reddit to express their hot takes. One person wrote, 'Paps should be notified by the police against stalking, esp minors." Another added, 'Wish people took a stronger stance against these vultures. I know often celebs hire them themselves, and that is a separate discussion, but the ones who stalk someone and make their lives uncomfortable should have firmer actions against them." One comment read, 'I used to follow these pages when they would genuinely spot a celeb, and it was interesting to watch. I unfollowed them years ago when they just went nuts." Another comment mentioned, 'Why would you run after a barely legal child like that!? He legit seemed a little scared and accosted." Another added, 'It's so uncomfortable to watch… Bilkul sharam nahin aa rahi inhe… Bloody vultures." A comment mentioned, 'Poor kid. He is being hounded. This is a crime…The way this child ran to a safe place is really sad. It's a crime to harass people like that." Another read, 'Poor kid. I also remember the Internet being so creepy towards his looks as a minor, lots of weird comments from clearly middle-aged women. This is literally harassment." One person wrote, 'Wtf is wrong with paps? Literally, middle-aged men running behind a minor and traumatising him. This should be an offence. Do these people know the concept of personal space?" This incident has once again raised questions about the paparazzi culture in India, and when do spotings become an invasion of space. This incident has especially angered netizens due to Hridaan's age. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan are yet to react. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Sami Sheen reveals how she escaped a terrifying s*x-trafficking situation while out with friends amid mum Denise Richards' divorce drama
What started as a casual night out with friends ended in a chilling encounter for Sami Sheen, the 21-year-old daughter of Denise Richards. The influencer took to TikTok to share how a late-night photo session in a restaurant parking lot quickly spiralled into what she believes was a near s*x-trafficking attempt. A night out turns sinister for Sami Sheen Sami said she and her friends were wrapping up their evening around midnight when they were approached by a man asking for money. Despite turning him away politely, she claims he became unusually persistent, refusing to back off until she firmly declined. But the real alarm bells rang when another man approached just moments later. The gut feeling that saved Sami Sheen As Sami recalled, she immediately felt uneasy. She described the second man's presence as triggering a deep, instinctive fear. When he started asking strange questions, like whether she could speak Spanish, she could not even process the conversation due to the sheer panic kicking in. When the man reached for his back pocket, Sami responded by grabbing her pepper spray, holding it visibly. She said the man then pulled out a card, though she suspected it was more of a distraction tactic than anything helpful. Sami and her friend ran to their car, locked themselves in, and tried to process what just happened. In hindsight, she is convinced the two men were working together. Reviewing the photos they had just taken, Sami noticed the man was watching them the entire time. Though she admits nothing physically happened, Sami is adamant the situation was dangerous. She urged her followers to stay alert, noting that even someone like her—who considers herself highly aware, did not notice the man until it was almost too late. "Even if it was harmless," she said, "it is always better to be safe than sorry." Denise Richards divorce update This harrowing story surfaces as Sami's mother, actress Denise Richards, navigates an ugly public divorce from Aaron Phypers. Richards recently appeared with what looked like a black eye, following a confrontation with Phypers, who has denied abuse allegations and instead accused her of substance issues and infidelity.
