
A day of draws in the Zain First Division League
KUWAIT CITY, April 7: The standings in the Zain First Division League remained unchanged following the conclusion of round 12, as both matches ended in draws.
Sulaibikhat and Burgan played to a 1-1 draw at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium, while Al-Sahel and hosts Al-Shabab also settled for the same result.
Despite not featuring in this round, Al-Jahra held onto the top spot with 15 points. Meanwhile, Sulaibikhat and Al-Shabab, tied in second place, both moved up to 13 points. Burgan sits fourth with 11 points, followed by Al-Sahel in fifth with 10 points.
The league will now pause until April 15 to make way for the preliminary round of the Amir's Cup. According to the draw, Kazma will face Al-Jahra next Thursday, while Al-Shabab will take on Khaitan. Friday's matchups include Al-Sahel against Al-Salmiya, and on Saturday, Burgan will face Al-Qadsiya. Al-Sulaibikhat's match against Al-Arabi is scheduled for May 2 due to Al-Arabi's involvement in the AFC Challenge League.

Al-Otaibi said in a statement that the medals came after the brilliance of shooters in the (trap) competitions , where shooters Abdulrahman Al-Faihan, Talal Al-Rashidi and Nasser Al-Muqlid won the gold medal in the men's team competition. Al-Otaibi pointed out that the Kuwait shooters Shahd Al-Hawal, Sarah Al-Hawal and Reem Al-Zamanan won the silver medal in the women's team competition, while Abdulrahman Al-Faihan won the bronze medal for the singles competition, as Nasser Al-Muqlid and Sarah Al-Hawal won the bronze medal in the mixed doubles competition. Al-Otaibi dedicated this outstanding achievement in his name and on behalf of the members of the Board of Directors and shooters to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al- Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister, and the honorable Kuwaiti people. Saudi Arabia begins preparations for the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup
KUWAIT CITY, June 11: The Saudi national football team begins its training today in preparation for the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the premier tournament for North, Central America, and the Caribbean, set to take place from June 14 to July 6 across the United States and Canada. The tournament draw, held in April, placed Saudi Arabia in Group D, alongside the United States, Haiti, and Trinidad and Tobago. Kuwait Club joins Challenge League Group stage; Al-Arabi to fight in play-off
KUWAIT CITY, June 10: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed that Kuwait Club will gain direct entry into the 2025–26 AFC Challenge League, taking part in the group stage from October 25 through November 1. Meanwhile, Al-Arabi has been granted a play-off spot to vie for a place in the same group stage. Its decisive fixture is slated for one of three possible dates—July 29, August 5, or August 12. Last season, Kuwait Club competed in the AFC Champions League 2 but finished bottom of its group and failed to progress, while Al-Arabi reached the semifinals of the AFC Challenge League before being eliminated.
