Al-Jahra aims to strengthen its lead in the Zain First Division League against Al-Sulaibikhat

KUWAIT CITY, April 28: Al-Jahra will look to extend their lead at the top of the Zain First Division League standings when they face Al-Sulaibikhat today at 7:55 pm at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium, as part of the fifteenth round of competition. Earlier in the day, Al-Sahel will take on Burgan at 5:35 pm at Al-Sahel's home stadium. Al-Shabab will be absent from this round. In the headline match, the "Sons of the Red Palace" (Al-Jahra) are targeting a second consecutive victory to solidify their position at the top, where they currently lead with 18 points. A win would not only strengthen their chances of securing promotion to the Premier League but also deliver a vital morale boost with just five rounds remaining. Meanwhile, Al-Sulaibikhat, sitting fourth with 14 points, will be aiming to "kill two birds with one stone" — handing the leaders a defeat and tightening the competition for promotion. After drawing their last three matches, Al-Sulaibikhat is eager to return to winning ways and rejoin the race for a top spot. In the second encounter, Al-Sahel, at the bottom of the table with 10 points, and Burgan, in second place with 15 points, are both determined to claim a victory. Al-Sahel hopes to revive its slim qualification chances, while Burgan seeks to stay firmly in the race for promotion.
