Previewing the 2025 season for Penn State DE Enai White with his player profile
Going into the 2025 football season, Nittany Lions Wire will examine each player listed on the Penn State roster. Over the preseason, each profile will cover the player's background, how recruiting websites rated them coming out of high school, and what role they will play for James Franklin this season.
Defensive end Enai White was a member of Texas A&M's historic 2022 recruiting class, which still ranks as the best class of all time per the 247Sports rankings. White had a promising start to his college career but sustained a knee injury midway through the 2023 season, which kept him sidelined for all but one game in 2024. After three seasons with the Aggies, he entered the transfer portal and landed at Penn State, where he's seemingly recovered. Here's a look at Kemajou entering the 2025 season.
Preseason Player Profile

Recruiting Rankings
Class of 2022: Consensus 4-star recruit, No. 47 player, No. 4 edge rusher and No. 2 Pennsylvania native, per 247Sports
White, a near 5-star recruit and one of Pennsylvania's top talents, was brought back to the Keystone State by Franklin through the transfer portal, continuing the trend of returning in-state players like Julian Fleming from Ohio State and Nolan Rucci from Wisconsin.

Depth Chart Overview
The two-deep at defensive end is expected to consist of Dani Dennis-Sutton, Zuriah Fisher, Max Granville and Jaylen Harvey, but if there's one player who could throw a wrench into that, it's White. His recruiting pedigree and early trajectory at Texas A&M indicate he could be a contributor, but his injury status is a major question mark. For what it's worth, White appeared in the Blue-White Game, signifying at least some level of health.

Oregon vs. Penn State named among top FPI matchups of the year
The 2025 Oregon football schedule isn't the toughest. Considering the Ducks are entering just their second season in the Big Ten Conference, the schedule makers, either intentionally or unintentionally, did Oregon a few favors with this year's docket. But there's one on the Ducks' schedule everyone is looking forward to. It's assumed that when Oregon travels to Penn State on Sept. 27, a lot of eyeballs will be focused on the Ducks and Nittany Lions. These two teams might be the favorites to win the Big Ten this season, making it more interesting that this will be a night game. Penn State has already announced that it will be one of their "White Out" games, and the contest will be broadcast on NBC/Peacock. These two teams faced off last season in Indianapolis for the conference championship and it was a good game for most of it until the Ducks pulled away. According to ESPN, when they use their FPI computer analytics, the Duck game at the Nittany Lions in Beaver Stadium is a Top 10 most anticipated game of the football season. They give this matchup a 91.9 score. That's right below the No. 16 at No. 1 Texas game on Oct. 11. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle The absolute most anticipated game of the season is No. 1 vs No. 2, Texas at Georgia, with a 99.3 score. The Longhorns appear a number of times as they will be the No. 1 team others will try to pick off. But as the Ducks are concerned, the relatively easy schedule limits their anticipation rating. Oregon misses Ohio State and Michigan in the regular season, and the Ducks host the likes of USC, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Texas A&M will host the No. 1-ranked 2026 prospect in Iowa this week
Texas A&M will host the No. 1-ranked 2026 prospect in Iowa this week Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class is expected to continue growing this summer, heading into the 2025 season. As we've already witnessed under head coach Mike Elko, recruiting the entire country has not been an issue, with the team dominating the East and West Coasts, similar to former head coach Jimbo Fisher. This month, Texas A&M will host a wide range of elite 2026 prospects, which now includes four-star tight end Evan Jacobson out of Waukee, Iowa. Standing at 6'7" and 200 pounds, Jacobson is already an elite red zone target who thrives in the seam, possessing enough speed and twitch to outmaneuver smaller defenders. Playing in a run-heavy offense, which is very common in Iowa, Jacobson has been Waukee's most reliable receiving target throughout his starting career, thriving in the short game. At the same time, his size advantage has made him a sneaky deep threat. Like many tight end prospects, Jacobson will improve as a route runner once he enters a collegiate program. In Texas A&M OC Collin Klein's tight end-centric scheme, he could turn into one of the better SEC tight ends going into his second or third season. According to the man himself, Jacobson will head to College Station on Thursday, June 5, and spend the weekend with the Aggies for his first official visit. According to 247Sports, Evan Jacobson is currently positioned as the 175th-ranked prospect in the class, the 11th-ranked tight end, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Iowa.
