Jean-Michel Jarre to release Live In Bratislava in September
French keyboard wizard Jean-Michel Jarre has announced that he will release a new live album, Live In Bratislava, through Sony Music Enetertainment on September 5.
It's a recoding of his historic open-air Bridge From The Future concert, performed on May 12, 2024 in Slovakia, along the banks of the Danube, to over 100,000 people, where he was joined by Queen guitarist Brian May.
The full 22-track performance is available across a range of deluxe formats, including an unseen Director's Cut of the concert film, remastered audio, exclusive vinyl, and a 40-page coffee table photo book documenting this once-in-a-lifetime production.
'Since that very special night in Bratislava, we've worked with a brilliant creative team to bring together the most complete, cinematic version of the concert possible," Jarre says. "The sound on this release comes from the live TV broadcast of the concert, capturing the raw, in-the-moment energy of the performance. I'm proud to finally share this with everyone. Not only those who joined us in Slovakia or watched online, but all who want to relive the experience."
It was Jarre's first ever collaboration with Brian May, who joined him on stage for a new arrangement of Dvořák's New World Symphony as well as newly adapted works Bratislava Time and Rendez-vous Bratislava.
Live In Bratislava will be released as a 2 CD set, a Blu-ray featuring the unseen Director's Cut and the Ultimate Colector's Box, which features the 2 x CD, Blu-ray and a 10" blue vinyl featuring the unreleased track Bridge From The Future, performed as the audience arrived, as well as a deluxe 40-page coffee table photo book with behind-the-scenes and performance images.
Jarre recently announced his very first European tour for nine years for June and July 2026.

The actress, who was asked about Max's story, where he revealed he experienced a heart attack while she was waiting to ride the duck boat, shared that the actor actually felt unwell twice in March prior to their trip, but his ECG showed nothing worrying. "Then in April, while we were in Singapore having fun, he suddenly couldn't breathe, couldn't move, and couldn't speak. He had to sit down to the side. I was so bad, I actually left him to go ride the duck boat, thinking he just had a cold. But later, seeing how pale he was, I knew something was seriously wrong. After a while, he said he was okay," she said. Ada said that it was the next morning that Max finally told her what happened while tearing up. "He told me that at that moment, looking at the four of us, he thought that if he lay down, he might never get back up again and he had to force himself to stand up. He cried as he told me this. I had never seen him like that before," she said. The actress said that upon returning to Hong Kong, Max had to undergo angioplasty after further tests showed that one of his arteries was more than 80 percent blocked. "When I found out about it, I felt so guilty. I got down on my knees and cried, wondering how I could have failed so badly as a wife. I just hugged him and thanked God he was okay. If something had happened to him, I would've gone crazy," she said. Ada also assured that the actor is doing much better now, and that he has already returned to mainland China to film "Call Me By Fire". "He's fine after the surgery. Movie Review: Margaret Qualley shines in 'Honey Don't!' as Philip Marlowe in red lipstick
The skies are blue, the sun unrelenting and the body count escalating in the Bakersfield, California, of 'Honey Don't!,' where Margaret Qualley's private investigator tries to get a handle on the nefarious goings-on in her city with a small-town feel. It's the second film in Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke's so-called 'lesbian B-movie trilogy,' and while this shaggy caper might not add up to anything significant — perhaps part of the 'B-movie' point — it is fun and immensely watchable. That's thanks in large part to Qualley's turn as the smoothly confident Honey O'Donahue, kind of a Philip Marlowe, or maybe Veronica Mars, in cherry-red lipstick, high heels and silks (inspired choices for the sweltering setting by costume designer Peggy Schnitzer). Honey is meant to be strikingly 'other' in this very downtrodden Bakersfield of eccentrics, dropouts and lost souls, where missing teeth seem to be more prevalent than pedicures. It's a carnival of very memorable, very Coen-esque misfits, like a grumpy bartender played by Don Swayze and Charlie Day's clueless police officer Marty Metakawitch. Marty is not the only man in town who has trouble accepting that Honey will never be interested in him. You could play a drinking game with how many times she has to tell hapless men, 'I like girls.' Not only is queer literacy low in this Bakersfield, but many in town seem to have come under the influence of a church leader played by Chris Evans, the Rev. Drew Devlin, whose high-wattage smile and proclivity for flirting have made him a local celebrity. Evans, who seems to be having fun in a weirder role, plays the Rev. Drew as a charismatic creep, an ego-driven and possibly sex-addicted influencer who is also peddling drugs and arranging hits around town. He too has a boss, or bosses, known only as 'the French,' which is amusingly underexplained. And he's often completely, or nearly, naked and involved in some cringey, experimental acts with his naive followers. Not unlike the new 'The Naked Gun,' this saga begins with a suspicious vehicular death. The deceased was an almost-client of Honey's, which sets her off poking around and looking for answers. Most of her cases are of the cheating spouse type, and this is just more interesting. Meanwhile, others start dropping dead too. Some of these deaths feel spiritually, comedically similar to the Mark Pellegrino sequence in 'Mullholland Drive' (not the only Lynchian nod). And all signs are pointing back to the church, though Honey gets a bit distracted with a new fling in Aubrey Plaza's lustful cop MG Falcone and some family drama with her wayward niece Corinne (Talia Ryder). 'Honey Don't' might play more like a pilot episode of a television series than a contained film, but it is a step up from Coen and Cooke's previous effort, 'Drive Away Dolls,' which felt constructed of comedic parts whose shelf life expired 20 years ago. This script, written by Coen and Cooke, is probably just as vintage, technically speaking, but it feels more timeless. With a stable of memorable side characters, including Josh Pafchek as the reverend's assistant and Jacnier as a skittish new drug dealer named Hector, 'Honey Don't' is gory, unapologetically sexual, quippy and dark. It also clocks in at under 90 minutes — they knew just when to get out. As Ethan Coen finds his groove as a solo director, 'Honey Don't' might not be 'The Big Lebowski' or 'Raising Arizona,' but it is a swing in the right direction. At this rate, if we get the pleasure of seeing a third film, it might just be a classic. 'Honey Don't!' a Focus Features release in theaters Friday, is rated R by the Motion Picture Association for 'some strong violence, language, graphic nudity, strong sexual content.' Running time: 88 minutes. Three stars out of four.

Simon Kinberg cites Andor as his inspiration for the new Star Wars trilogy

It's been a while since a story gripped Star Wars fans with the same intensity as the one involving Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) had to tell. Now, after his prequel series ended on its incredible second season, another creative in the galaxy far, far away has spoken out about the impact it left on him and his plans for the future. Speaking to Nerdtropolis about his untitled Star Wars trilogy, Kinberg talked about other stories that we'll see before his finally gets revealed. 'There's a ton of wildly talented folks that want to do great work,' Kinberg said. 'I was super inspired and just sort of awestruck by what Tony Gilroy did with Andor. I thought that was about as good of science fiction storytelling as you can do in any franchise.' Looking to that Emmy-nominated show as a stepping off point should certainly reassure fans and suggest that he has something exciting stored away, but even now it sounds like he's still in the "pinch-me" phase of the process. 'It's not even a dream come true—I couldn't have dreamed it,' he explained. 'Just to be told there'd be more movies would have been unbelievable. To be allowed on the set of any of them was already a dream. My enthusiasm only grows with working on and around it." While there's minimal detail on just what Kinberg's planned trilogy will include, what we do know is that it'll take place after the events of Rise of Skywalker. Kinberg will both pen and produce the new trilogy, which is confirmed to see the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey Skywalker.
