Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed attends celebrations to mark Shabab Al Ahli's coronation as ADNOC Pro League champions
DUBAI (ALETIHAD) H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shabab Al Ahli Club, on Sunday attended the crowning of the club as champions of the ADNOC Pro League for the 2024–2025 season – marking the ninth title in the club's history.The trophy was secured following the team's triumph against Al Jazira Club during the title match held at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the capital, Abu Dhabi.H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed congratulated the club's board members, coaching and administrative staff, and players on their achievement, praising the team's remarkable performance throughout the season, which saw them finishing with four titles in all. He also commended the players for displaying exemplary sportsmanship, which he described as a key factor in the team's success.
With this victory, Shabab Al Ahli concludes an exceptional season during which they also won the UAE President's Cup for the eleventh time, as well as the UAE Super Cup, and the UAE-Qatar Challenge Shield, besides the ADNOC Pro League.The occasion saw Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed joining Shabab Al Ahli players and the club's coaching and administrative staff for commemorative photos.
Team members expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to His Highness for his constant support, encouragement, and positive appraisal of their performances – factors, they said, had played a vital role in their remarkably successful season.

Khaled Zawia, Al Jazira Club's under-18 athlete who won gold in the 66kg division, said he was always makes it a point to compete in the Championship 'because the strong participation from clubs and athletes gives me the chance to sharpen my skills and develop my game. UAE Football Association to take legal action against Al Ain club over referee complaints
UAE Football Association said on Sunday that it strongly rejects any questioning of the integrity and competence of Emirati referees. The association expressed its strong disapproval of Al Ain Club's official platforms criticising refereeing decisions and urged the club to adhere to sportsmanship and respect for others' work. It added in a statement that it will initiate legal action against Al Ain Club and anyone else who inappropriately questions the work or performance of its members.

Jasim Mohammed Abdullah Yousuf Al Haddad, a former player of the UAE national team and Sharjah Club, passed away on Sunday, 17 August. Al Haddad was known for his agility and skill, earning the nickname 'ballet footballer.' He was the first player to win the State Cup with Sharjah Club. and the youngest to join the UAE national team at the age of 16. He represented the UAE in the third, fourth, and fifth Gulf Cups, the 1975 Palestine Cup, the 1979 Asian qualifiers, and the 1981 Merdeka Tournament.
