Jason Momoa Makes Bold Prediction About Black Sabbath's Final Concert

Yahooa day ago
Jason Momoa says Black Sabbath's Back to the Beginning concert will be 'the greatest metal show in history.' In an interview with Kerrang days before the iconic heavy metal band's last live performance ever, the Aquaman star made the prediction about the show. Momoa will host the event, which will be broadcast worldwide from Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham, on July 5.
'I'll be s----ng my pants but at the same time it's the goddamn greatest metal show in history,' Momoa, 45, said. 'This show is going to be amazing, and I'm so happy they've done it on pay-per-view for all to see.'
The actor admitted he was shocked when he was asked to host Back to the Beginning after he called around to try to score a ticket.
'I was just calling my buddies …I called people basically begging to go,' he said. 'And then [photographer] Ross Halfin…he hit me up and I said I was trying to get a ticket, then he's like, 'Sharon [Osbourne] wants you to host it!' I'm like, 'What the f--- are you talking about, man?!' I'm over here begging for a ticket, and now they want me to host it!'
'I've never hosted anything before, but I've gotta go out in front of all these f---ing people and host! And now it's on pay-per-view. Jesus Christ…' he added.
Momoa previously told NME he was 'blown away' when Ozzy Osbourne's wife/manager asked him to host the farewell show. 'I don't know how I'm going to host, but I'll figure it out,' he told the outlet. 'I'm just so excited to be there. It's funny, because I was begging for tickets and now I turn out to be hosting.'
Back to the Beginning will feature Black Sabbath founding members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward onstage together for the first time in 20 years—and their last time ever with Osbourne onstage. A long list of additional acts includes Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, and Pantera.

Kelly Osbourne Is Engaged! Sid Wilson Proposes to the Star During Her Dad Ozzy Osbourne's Final Black Sabbath Show

Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson are engaged! The Slipknot rocker, 48, proposed to the former Fashion Police host, 40, during her dad Ozzy Osbourne's final concert with Black Sabbath at England's Villa Park on Saturday, July 5. In a video of the moment shared on Instagram, Wilson can be seen grabbing his future bride's attention, telling her, "Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world," before Ozzy, 76, interjects, "F--- off, you're not marrying my daughter." Laughing off the rocker's comment, Wilson continued, telling Kelly, 'Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?' Looking around in shock, Kelly then nodded her head yes, before embracing Wilson in a long hug, as friends and family — including mom Sharon Osbourne and brother Jack Osbourne — cheered them on. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Kelly and Wilson first met and struck up a friendship in 1999, when Wilson's band was touring with Ozzfest, the music festival founded by her parents. They officially began dating in January 2022. A source told PEOPLE at the time that they were "very happy together." Kelly later reflected on their long history in an Instagram post celebrating their first Valentine's Day as a couple. "After 23 years of friendship I can't believe where we have ended up!" she wrote at the time, sharing a photo of the pair kissing. "You are my best friend, my soulmate and I am so deeply in love with you Sidney George Wilson." Wilson also shared the love, reposting the photo on his own Instagram page with the message, "There is not enough colours to display the palette of Love I have for you in my Heart 💜 Happy Valentines Day my Love XoXo." In May of that same year, the duo shared the big news that they had a baby on the way. Kelly made her pregnancy reveal by posting a photo of herself holding an ultrasound image. "I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why… I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic! 🤰💜." Their son made his arrival at the end of 2022, and while Kelly had hoped to keep his birth a secret for a while, Sharon — a very excited grandmother — spilled the beans during a January 2023 appearance on The Talk. "[His name is] Sidney. [They're] doing so great. She won't let a picture go out of him," she said at the time. Later that same day, Kelly posted a message on her Instagram Stories, reiterating her desire for privacy. "I am not ready to share him with the world," she wrote. During a September 2023 episode of The Osbournes podcast, Kelly opened up about having "fully embraced mom life" and how much she and Wilson adore Sidney. "He's the best thing that ever happened to me. The best, he's lovely," she said of their son. "I just love being a mom, It is everything to me." Read the original article on People

‘Too Much,' Plus 7 Things on TV this Week

Between streaming and cable, there is a seemingly endless variety of things to watch. Here is a selection of TV shows and specials that are airing or streaming this week, July 7- 13. Details and times are subject to change. Fresh starts. For many millennial women, despite the fact that the finale of 'Girls' aired in 2017, it's never been too far out of the cultural zeitgeist. But now there will be fresh characters, plots and content to analyze with Lena Dunham's new show, 'Too Much.' The story follows Jessica (Megan Stalter), who, fresh off a breakup, moves to London for a new job and ends up falling for Felix (Will Sharpe), an indie musician who has seemingly countless red flags (I am having Adam flashbacks). The story is loosely based on Dunham's real life — after working in Britain and meeting her now-husband, Luis Felber, there, she said she wanted to examine American expats' fantasy of London versus the actual experience. All 10 episodes will be released at once. Streaming Thursday on Netflix. The real-life sisters Kat Sadler and Lizzie Davidson created a British sitcom in which they star as … sisters. The first season of 'Such Brave Girls' tells the story of a mother, Deb (Louise Brealey), and her two daughters, Josie (Sadler) and Billie (Davidson), who navigate life after their father (Deb's husband) leaves. In the second season, coming out this week, no topic is off limits — depression, medication, sex and affairs are all on the table. Streaming Monday on Hulu. Does he love me? Does he love me not? After a two-year hiatus, 'Bachelor in Paradise' is back this week. The show features former contestants who head to a beach, this time in Costa Rica, for a second (or third, or fourth) chance at love. This season, the contestants from 'The Golden Bachelor' franchise are also joining, but it's unclear if there will be intergenerational dating. Jesse Palmer will serve as host, Wells Adams is returning as the bartender and for a new addition, the former 'Bachelorette' Hannah Brown is taking on a role entitled 'paradise relations,' in which she will help with rose ceremonies. Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC and streaming the next day on Hulu. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.
