LeAnn Rimes reveals real reason her teeth FELL OUT on stage

Daily Mail08-07-2025
is opening up about her long history of dental issues that ultimately led to her teeth falling out on stage last month.
The 42-year-old singer has been in the spotlight most of her life, from competing on Star Search as a child and releasing her first independent album at just nine, before becoming a bona fide country music star at just 13.
She ventured into acting as well and made headlines for her affair with Eddie Cibrian before they tied the knot back in 2011, and still going strong today.
However, she's had more than her fair share of health struggles, including dealing with the chronic autoimmune condition psoriasis
She has also dealt with plenty of dental drama as well, opening up on what started it all in a wide-ranging cover story for Flow Space.
She revealed that a decision to get veneers at just 16 is what started it all, but it wasn't from the first time she had them done.
Sometime after getting veneers in the first place, she went to a different dentist to have them redone, except he didn't 'bond them correctly.'
Rimes had to undergo a decade's worth of root canals and oral surgeries after the botched bonding, which was quite painful.
'I look at my pictures from that time, and my face was so different—it was just so swollen,' Rimes admitted.
'Oh, it was awful. I was in chronic pain for, like, two-and-a-half years,' Rimes continued.
That ultimately lead to the incident last week, while on stage at the Skagit Valley Casino & Resort in Bow, Washington, her dental bridge popped out.'
She took to Instagram last week, revealing what happened when her teeth popped out at that performance just one night earlier.
'We're going to do a little story time about how the show must go on. And this is the most epic example of how the show must go on.
'So last night, I was on stage in the middle of One Way Ticket. I feel something pop in my mouth. And if you've been around, you know I've had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front. It fell out in the middle of my song last night,' she admitted.
She stopped the performance and yelled out, 'Hold on!,' as she ran to the side of the stage and popped her bridge back in.
'I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have had to walk off stage. And so, for the rest of the show, I was literally like this pushing my teeth in like every couple lines and singing,' she continued.
It wasn't the first time she had a bizarre mishap on stage, with a 2014 Oklahoma performance ending early because her jaw popped out of place, resulting in her having to skip the encore performance.
'Oklahoma!!!! I love you so much! I'm sorry for no encore. I had my jaw pop out of place & I can't hear out of my left ear,' she tweeted at the time.
'I had the best time tonight with my Oklahoma fans! I love y'all!' she added.

South Park takes aim at Trump's Washington DC crime crackdown with the return of an old character

South Park has teased the return of an old character in another savage episode mocking the Trump administration's Washington, D.C., crime crackdown. In a post on the iconic show's X account, a 20-second teaser shows the long-serving Towlie on a trip to the capital amid a backdrop of troops and tanks on the streets. 'Wow, Washington D.C.,' Towlie says, looking out of his bus window with bewilderment. Towelie, which the producers created years before to satirize how heavily merchandised and exploited their creations were becoming, was previously branded the 'worst character ever' by co-star Eric Cartman. Towlie first made an appearance in 2001 in Season 5 and has featured sporadically ever since – often being depicted as high on marijuana, while spouting the phrases, "I have no idea what's going on" or "Don't forget to bring a towel.' As the fresh teaser clip continues, Towlie is seen standing outside a fictionalised depiction of the White House, and saying, 'This seems like the perfect place for a towel.' The character's return coincides with the commander-in-chief's move to deploy the military in D.C., after claiming the city was 'becoming a situation of complete and total lawlessness' on August 11. The administration's justification for deploying the military has been widely disputed, as recent data suggests the opposite: violent crime is reportedly down 26 percent, according to the city's police department. Earlier this week, MAGA South Park actor Janeshia Adams-Ginyard hailed the series' latest episodes skewering Trump's actions as brilliant, while claiming that the producers were by no means taking sides. 'They've been going after everybody. Red or blue – it don't even matter,' she said. Though senior Trump officials have rebuked the new series, including Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, after she was portrayed as being obsessed with plastic surgery, and mocked for shooting her dog. 'It's so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for how they look. Only the liberals and the extremists do that,' Noem said, responding to the second episode. 'If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly they can't; they just pick something petty like that,' she continued. Vice President J.D. Vance and conservative podcaster Charlie Kirk, however, have embraced the mockery, praising the sardonic jokes. 'Well, I've finally made it,' Vance wrote on X after the second episode aired. The White House, on the other hand, was less affable about the latest episodes, calling them 'a desperate attempt for attention,' in a press statement. Meanwhile, South Park's popularity continues to shine with Comedy Central announcing that the second episode drew 6.2 million viewers across cable and streaming in its first three days. Episode three will air on Wednesday on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. Eastern time and 9 p.m. Central, and will be available on Thursday on Paramount+.

Horrified rapper says squalor in Seattle is as bad as his home town of DETROIT

Rapper Big Sean says he's stunned by the squalor of Seattle - and says it is as bad as his hometown of Detroit was when he was growing up. The artist - whose real name is Sean Michael Leonard Anderson - offered the anecdote mid-concert at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington, a few miles away on August 10. He told those convened how he had seen the woman during a walk back to his hotel with friends in Seattle the day before. 'We saw a young lady doing crack,' he recalled. 'I know it sounds crazy! With kids around! 'And she whipped the pipe out and was doing crack, and there were cops around,' Anderson continued, as the audience expressed their disapproval. 'And I was like, "Damn, Seattle. I didn't know Seattle was like that."' Sean's indictment is a particularly damning one, given that he grew up in a neglected city notorious for severe social problems. Detroit is undergoing a slow renaissance after losing many of its manufacturing industries during the 70s and 80s. Seattle is home to tech giants Amazon and Microsoft and is blessed with stunning natural beauty. But its progressive pursuit of 'harm reduction' policies which try to encourage 'safe' drug use have been blamed for helping to crater its image. @genevarose2003 @Big Sean saw lady doing cra*k in Seattle 🤦‍♀️ #bigsean #seattle #auburn #wa #whiteriverampitheatre #crack #russwildtour #fyp #fypageシ #fypage #fypシ ♬ original sound - Geneva Ducharme Seattle, like many other major cities, has been plagued by a surge of crime since the pandemic, after which violent crime hit a 30-year peak in 2022. The chaos continued in 2023 when the Democrat-led city recorded 69 homicides - tying a record for violent death last seen in 1994. Drugs, gang violence, and homelessness has persisted ever since. It caught the attention of Anderson, who is no stranger to tough streets. 'I went to high school in Detroit, in, like, a kind of a crazy neighborhood,' he admitted on-stage. 'I haven't seen this since high school.' Seattle's 'defund the police' politics - touted by several city leaders at the time - also played a part, causing the Seattle Police Department to downsize from about 1,300 officers to just 907 just last year. A study of 15 major cities released in May of this year by the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund pegged Seattle as one of the worst offenders when it came to its failure to quell post-pandemic crime. 'Every one of the 15 cities has seen its homicide numbers drop since 2021 — except Seattle,' a portion of the analysis read. It also noted how Seattle was the 'only city that did not see any increase in police enforcement' and that cops there currently make 60 percent fewer stops than they did prior to the pandemic. 'While the murder rate is 50 percent higher,' the study noted. 'The city's experience provides a useful, if tragic, counterfactual that proves the impact of re-policing on murders.' Elections in November offered some hope to citizens, however, after it ousted several members of its progressive City Council. Street disorder in the city - fueled by drug use, incidents of homelessness, and mentally ill citizens - still persists. But city leaders have begun to take steps to 're'-police its police force. So far, the department still has work to do - only securing about 10 percent of the staffers it lost since 2019. The city's Downtown, Capitol Hill, and its International District are still problem areas, where drugs like fentanyl are still smoked out in the open. Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid 50 to 100 times more powerful than morphine. Startlingly, it is undetectable by sight, taste, or even smell, and it is often mixed with other drugs, causing overdoses. Meanwhile, New Seattle police Chief Shon Barnes announced that his force had seized 900 illegal guns off the streets last month. Such steps have made strides in combatting violent crime, with homicide down 41 percent from this time last year through June. Shootings are similarly down 29 percent, and car theft down 25 percent. Overall, violent crime is down by 12 percent, statistics from Seattle's dispatch center show.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's boyfriend apologises to Zelensky over suit comments

Volodymyr Zelensky made a joke about the suit worn by Brian Glenn, Marjorie Taylor Greene 's boyfriend, during a White House meeting with Donald Trump on Monday, 18 August. The joke was a playful retort to a previous comment made by Mr Glenn in February, who had questioned why Mr Zelensky wore a black sweater instead of formal attire in the Oval Office. Mr Glenn, a Real America's Voice host, apologised to the Ukrainian president for his earlier jibe during the recent encounter. Mr Zelensky remarked that while he had changed his attire, Mr Glenn was still wearing the same suit, prompting laughter in the room. Watch the video in full above
