What an amazing set of questions and equally candid responses! He is naturally good and exhibits great clarity! Thanks Nikhil for this.' Ted on Sacred Games Our very first Indian original show was Sacred Games. And I thought, 'This is going to be great. People in India love movies. This is a TV show that feels as big as a movie, it has movie stars.' What's interesting about it is that it was very, very novel, but what I didn't understand was that we were introducing a brand new kind of entertainment in a country the size of India. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD On Heeramandi Heeramandi was probably one of the most creatively interesting projects I've worked on in India. I was involved in the greenlighting meetings for it. He (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) came to LA to do the pitch. He came in with this very big vision. Honestly, it almost felt like a dare—like he was saying, 'I dare you to make this; it's so big. He's a legend of cinema, so the idea of him making a TV Show was unheard of. I thought he came for us to say no. And then, when we said yes, there were lots of delays. It was a complicated production.

Sonakshi Sinha On Her Dream Role With Hubby Zaheer Iqbal: ‘Two Of Us As Villains…'

Last Updated: Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal shared screen space in the 2022 film Double XL, which also starred Huma Qureshi. Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has come a long way in her career. Having made her acting debut with the action film Dabangg opposite Salman Khan in 2010, she has portrayed her acting skills in a number of films including Lootera, Akira, Ittefaq, as well as web series such as Dahaad and Heeramandi. In Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi, the actress portrayed a dark and negative character for the first time. She garnered immense praise for the performance. Now, in a recent interview, Sonakshi said that she is glad filmmakers are thinking out-of-the-box, and exploring more unique ways to present her as an actor. She also said that she wants to play a villain, along with her hubby Zaheer Iqbal, with both of them pitted against everyone. Sonakshi is pleased that filmmakers now perceive her in a different way. She told Bombay Times, 'I am glad that directors have started thinking out of the box in terms of presenting me as an actor, and I am grateful for that. As a creative person, I go for stories, roles and ideas that really stir something in me." Sonakshi also expressed her wish to share screen space with her husband, Zaheer Iqbal. The couple previously worked together in the 2022 film 'Double XL'. Although they are eager to collaborate on another project, they have a unique concept in mind for it. Zaheer says, 'Sonakshi and I should both play negative roles." Sonakshi added, 'Yes, the two of us as villains pitted against everyone." Zaheer said that he loves watching Sonakshi in negative roles. He admired her performance as the scheming Mallikajaan in Heeramandi. Zaheer commented, 'I love seeing Sonakshi in negative roles, especially in a series like Heeramandi. I think she looks damn cool. Also, she has an eye for those characters. In real life, though, I can't be serious with her. If she looks at me angrily, I break into laughter." In other news, Sonakshi Sinha is currently down with viral fever. Yesterday, Zaheer shared a video on Instagram in which she is seen in an unglamorous moment, battling a bout of viral fever. Zaheer captured the moment with a hilarious twist, and captioned it with a witty line: 'This girl has gone viral!" First Published:
