Hamas: Knesset vote imposing "Sovereignty" iver West Bank is void & illegitimate

Gaza - Saba: The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) emphasized on Wednesday evening that the Zionist Knesset's vote on a draft resolution to impose "sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank—paving the way for its annexation—is a void and illegitimate measure that will not alter the identity of the Palestinian land. In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Hamas stated that "this measure constitutes a challenge to international laws and resolutions and is an extension of the widespread violations committed by the enemy government in the occupied West Bank, including land theft, settlement expansion, and campaigns of killing, arrest, and repression against the Palestinian people." The movement called on "the masses of the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank and their active forces to unite, stand together, and escalate resistance in all forms to thwart the schemes of the fascist Zionist enemy." It also urged the "international community and the United Nations to condemn this illegitimate move and put an end to the enemy's recklessness, fascist policies, and ongoing violations of our Palestinian people's rights, which pour oil on the fire and escalate tensions in the region." Popular Front for Liberation of Palestine: Imposing sovereignty over West Bank is dangerous escalation , part of settlement & judaization schemes

Beirut – Saba: The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) stated on Wednesday evening that "the decision by the enemy's parliament, the Knesset, to pass a proposal with a majority of 71 votes endorsing the imposition of sovereignty over the West Bank and the Jordan Valley represents a dangerous escalation and an integral part of the occupation's schemes to settle, Judaize, and displace the Palestinian population." In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the PFLP emphasized that "the Israeli enemy already exercises full control over the land and commits all forms of crimes, from ethnic cleansing and destruction of infrastructure to land seizures across the West Bank, while allowing settler militias to carry out every kind of crime against our people, their villages, cities, and agricultural lands." The statement added, "However, formalizing this step legally reinforces the occupation, entrenches its presence, expands its settlement and Judaization project, and confines our people to isolated enclaves as a prelude to forced displacement." The PFLP affirmed that "unity and resistance are the only means to confront this dangerous scheme, which is no less severe than the genocidal crimes the occupation is committing in Gaza." IAEA technical team to visit Iran soon

New York - Saba: Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, announced that a technical team from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will visit Tehran within the next two to three weeks to discuss cooperation between Iran and the agency. According to Iran's IRNA news agency on Wednesday, Gharibabadi told American journalists that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran is currently assessing the damage caused to Iranian nuclear facilities by Israeli and American attacks. He described the upcoming meeting on Friday between Iran and the three European countries as "very important," stating that representatives of the European trio had contacted Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi days earlier, expressing their eagerness to find a way to manage the situation. Regarding negotiations with the U.S., he emphasized the importance of preparing for the sixth round, including ensuring that Iran is not attacked during the talks. Both sides must agree that the outcome of any deal should benefit both countries. On the trigger mechanism, he affirmed: "We have not made any decision to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). We have obligations, but how we implement these obligations under the new circumstances requires fresh discussions with the IAEA." He pointed to the law passed by the Iranian parliament suspending cooperation with the IAEA, setting two conditions for resuming collaboration: ensuring the safety , security of nuclear facilities and their personnel. "We are in contact with the agency," he added, noting that Iran has agreed to host a technical team to discuss a new framework for Iran-IAEA relations under the current circumstances. When asked about the upcoming meeting between Iran and the European trio (E3), Gharibabadi stated that they had agreed to hold talks in Istanbul to address diplomatic issues, the trigger mechanism, and recent European statements. "We will, of course, present our positions," he said. He stressed that "the trigger mechanism is an illegal measure from our perspective and holds no legal standing. Seven years have passed, and the nuclear deal has not been implemented, especially after the Europeans suspended their commitments following the U.S. withdrawal. Now, what do they want to say? Do they want to ask why Iran hasn't fulfilled its commitments? Have they fulfilled theirs?" Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
