The activities of Jeff Bezos, Amazon's founder and largest shareholder, including a multimillion-dollar wedding in Venice and ambitions to conquer space via Blue Origin, have more recently garnered more column inches for the American technology giant than its own performance. Yet equity markets are closely fixed on the prospect of sweeping global tariffs as a 90-day pause imposed by President Trump is set to end at the start of July.
