Former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron To Sue Coldplay For Exposing His Alleged Affair?
The couple were later identified as Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot. Not long after the incident, it was reported that both have resigned from the company. However, instead of feeling remorse for his alleged infidelity, the now-former CEO decided to sue the UK band for 'invading his privacy'. Is that true? Here's the story:
According to several reports, disgraced former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron is planning to sue Coldplay over the incident that allegedly exposed his affair with a colleague during one of the band's concerts. Rumours have been circulating that the businessman is considering legal action, citing 'emotional distress' and 'invasion of privacy'. 'He didn't consent to being filmed or publicly humiliated. He thinks Coldplay made him a meme,' a source reportedly close to Byron said.
However, as neither Andy Byron nor Kristin Cabot has publicly addressed the incident, reports of the alleged lawsuit remain unverified. Regardless, even if the former Astronomer CEO does intend to sue the band on those grounds, he would face an uphill battle, as it would need to be proven that frontman Chris Martin was aware of the affair and intentionally directed the cameras towards his seat.
Andy Byron would also face difficulty using 'invasion of privacy' as his defence, given that it was a public event with cameras positioned throughout the venue and members of the audience recording every moment of the concert. Additionally, by attending concerts and agreeing to terms stipulated in the purchased tickets, audiences indirectly consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded.
For those curious to know if his wife, Megan Kerrigan, has filed for divorce, there is currently no verified information available on the current status of their marriage. However, there are Facebook posts that many believe to be from her, detailing what she's currently going through.

QuickCheck: Are claims of a ‘new, faster' way to get a driving license legit?
FOR some, getting a driver's license is a necessity, while for others, it is a rite of passage. It can also be a hassle due to the numerous processes and procedures. Recently, a TikTok user posted a video claiming to offer a new and faster way to obtain a driver's license that circumvents much of the red tape others have had to go through in the past. Is the claim legitimate? Verdict: FALSE The Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) says that the content of the video is considered illegal because it offers services to obtain licences without following the proper legal process and procedures. 'We would like to clarify that the individual involved has never been given authority, approval, or recognition by the department in any official matter,' said the department in a Facebook post on July 29. It also warned the public not to be deceived by any offer that promises a shortcut, cheap or easy way to obtain a driving license. 'Any official complaint can be channelled to the JPJ through the JPJ Official Complaints Portal - it said in the post, adding that legal action would be taken against any party who tries to deceive the community for personal gain. Herbal trader fined for insulting Orang Asli community and Deputy Speaker on Facebook
IPOH: A 53-year-old herbal trader who insulted the Orang Asli community and Parliament Deputy Speaker Datuk Ramli Mohd Nor on his Facebook account pleaded guilty at the Tapah Magistrate's Court on Thursday (July 31). The accused, M. Toraise @ Turesh Kumar, made the guilty plea after the charge was read before Magistrate Anis Zainab Pawanteh. The trader from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, was fined RM1,300. According to the charge sheet, the accused, on May 27 at approximately 9.30pm, had intentionally made an insulting remark on his Facebook account. His action provoked anger in an individual named Bah Bi A/L Bah Kerundang, who then lodged a police report. The accused committed an offence punishable under Section 504 of the Penal Code. Prosecuting officer Insp Herman Kayae asked for an appropriate sentence as a lesson to both the accused and the public to prevent repetition and to deter making comments that could disrupt public order. The accused was represented by lawyer R. Balamurali, who said his client is a single father supporting two children and is running a small business, earning between RM1,000 and RM1,500 a month. He added that the accused has limited language comprehension and was unaware that his actions could disrupt public peace. "The accused has pleaded guilty, apologised, and expressed remorse for the offence committed," he said. He paid the fine. In the police report dated June 23, Bah Bi, who is the Malaysian Ex-Police Association (Senoi Praaq branch) president from Jalan Pahang in Tapah, lodged the report after coming across the post. In the post, the accused had called Ramli a "sakai" and stated that he (Ramli) has the mental capacity "like Tarzan".
