spoilers follow.
EastEnders has confirmed the return of a popular documentary series, to preview the explosive storylines taking place in the show's 40th anniversary week.
EastEnders Revealed is a series which aired regularly during the 1990s and 2000s, with episodes taking a deep dive into popular characters and storylines in the show.
BBC Three has been the home of documentaries about major events in the soap since 2006, with the most recent being EastEnders: The Six, a two-part documentary hosted by Joe Swash to coincide with the gripping Christmas 2023 storyline.

Now Swash – who briefly reprised his role of Mickey Miller late last year – is back to host EastEnders Revealed: The Lock-In, a 45-minute special which will air on BBC Three during the soap's big anniversary week.
There will be behind-the-scenes insights into stories including Cindy's attacker reveal and Denise, Ravi and Jack's interactive love triangle.
Plus, Swash will chat to actors including Jacqueline Jossa, Natalie Cassidy and Patsy Palmer – who are all directly involved in the exciting live episode on Thursday, February 20. The actors will give exclusive details about the dramatic week and share their own theories.

The special will also include a musical performance from a well-known EastEnders superfan, with their identity remaining under wraps for now.
Swash said in a statement: "It was a privilege to take another trip back to Walford to reunite with my EastEnders family ahead of the 40th anniversary.
"I won't say too much as I don't want to spoil it for the viewers, but the week is full of explosive drama, and it was great to hear from the cast themselves about what we can expect from the week."

Executive producer Chris Clenshaw added: "The 40th anniversary is a monumental occasion for EastEnders, and since we started announcing some of our plans, we have seen an overwhelming amount of speculation around possible theories of what's to come in the anniversary week.
"This anniversary special show will give the audience a chance to hear from the actors involved in some of those explosive storylines as they share their thoughts and feelings of being involved in its historic milestone."
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.

Love Island confirms first bombshell to enter villa in show first
Love Island has confirmed the first bombshell of season 12. The ITV2 dating show kicks off a new season tomorrow night, introducing a new batch of singletons looking for love in the sun. Ahead of the launch episode, the first bombshell who will be entering the villa to shake things up for the original 12 Islanders has been confirmed. Toni, a 24-year-old pool cabana server from Connecticut, will make a bombshell entrance, marking the first American contestant to appear on the UK version of the show. The news was first teased in a video shared to Love Island's official Instagram page yesterday, in which host Maya Jama received a voice note from a mystery American. Related: Best streaming services "Hey Maya. I heard you want more twists. How about an American bombshell? Get ready. I'm on my way," the Islander teased, to which Maya added: "Alright, there's the sweet, sweet sounds of an American." Toni was officially confirmed today, revealing in a pre-entrance Q&A that she's looking for someone who "can make me laugh" and who's "quite active". She's also excited about the prospect of dating a British man, saying: "I've lived in three different states and I'm still single. It's time to try something new! "I have some British friends and they're pretty charming. I think all Americans love a good accent. British men are just more polite, with better manners." Related: Toni, who works as a pool cabana server in Sin City, Las Vegas, said she is "willing to relocate" for love, though it "would just break my heart to not have my job anymore". As for what kind of Islander she'll be, Toni said: "I don't want to be super messy. I'm not really like that. "I'm hoping to come out with friends of course. I guess I'm the party starter, I want everyone to have fun." Love Island starts Monday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. EastEnders star to leave Albert Square after 4 years to seek new opportunities
Bobby Brazier is leaving popular BBC soap EastEnders after four years, according to reports. The actor, who is the son of late reality star Jade Goody and former footballer Jeff Brazier, was named runner up of Strictly Come Dancing in 2023. Brazier, who plays Freddie Slater in the BBC soap, will leave Albert Square by the end of this year, reports The Sun. The newspaper said an EastEnders spokeswoman revealed: 'We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.' A TV insider told The Sun that EastEnders bosses met with Bobby at a time when he was already thinking about making his exit. They added: 'The timing of the decision worked for both, but his final scenes are not for a while yet. 'The character has had a great run, but the time is now right for Bobby to look for other opportunities, and for EastEnders to wave goodbye to Freddie Slater.' ‘Strictly Come Dancing' Contestant Suspended By BBC After Using Offensive 'Disability-Related' Language On Set
The BBC has suspended one of its most familiar soap stars after he was heard using a slur against people with disabilities on a TV set, using the phrase to describe the people of Blackpool where he was filming. BBC News reports that 'EastEnders' actor Jamie Borthwick made the remark in November during filming for Strictly Come Dancing (called Dancing with the Stars in many productions overseas), in which he was a contestant for last year's series. Borthwick has been in EastEnders since 2006, playing a central character called Jay Brown, and The Sun on Sunday newspaper reports that he has apologized for any 'offence and upset.' In his statement to The Sun on Sunday, Borthwick said: 'I want to apologise sincerely and wholeheartedly for the words I used in the video showing my reaction to making it through Blackpool week on Strictly.' He added: 'It is no excuse, but I did not fully understand the derogatory term I used and its meaning. 'That is on me completely. 'Now I am aware, I am deeply embarrassed to have used the term and directed it in the way I did.' Strictly Come Dancing has had a run of controversial incidents in the past year, including Borthwick's fellow contestant last series Wynne Evans being overheard making a misogynistic remark about his dance partner. Evans has not had his BBC Radio Wales contract renewed, it was reported last week.
