Leonardo DiCaprio Suffers Epic Disguise Fail at Bezos Wedding
Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio is in attendance at the wedding of the year, but it appears he'd rather you didn't know that.
The 50-year-old was photographed at Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding in Venice, Italy, alongside his Italian supermodel girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, 27, who was not in disguise.
In the photos, Leo, who is otherwise in black tie attire, sports a black Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap pulled incredibly low, almost entirely covering his eyes. Unfortunately for Leo, a baseball cap is no match for eagle-eyed fans and paparazzi.
The actor is no stranger to attempting to go incognito—he was photographed arriving in Venice for the wedding once again dressed in all-black, with a hoodie, baseball cap, and mask obscuring much of his face.
Fans on social media were quick to roast Leo for his botched attempt at a disguise, with many wondering why exactly he was so eager to cover up.
Several wondered if he was embarrassed to be spotted attending the wedding of such controversial figures as Bezos and Sánchez, particularly considering his track record as an environmental activist.
One X user wrote, 'Why is Leonardo DiCaprio still pretending to be this Hollywood climate activist and then he goes to Jeff Bezos' wedding and is on a yacht every week. What a fake frau[d]ster,' while a fan on Instagram wrote, 'For someone who loves the environment I'm pretty shocked he was at this wedding.'
Venice residents, who have been protesting the wedding for weeks, are upset at the potential for disruption in the already overwhelmed city, as well as the presence of Bezos himself. Last week, protesters unfurled signs over the Rialto Bridge that read, 'NO SPACE FOR BEZOS,' while another showed Bezos with a red X over his face.
At another protest earlier this week, activists took over the Piazza San Marco with a sign that read, 'IF YOU CAN RENT VENICE FOR YOUR WEDDING YOU CAN PAY MORE TAX.'
Venice has been struggling with the issue of overtourism for years, and city authorities have attempted to alleviate some of the burden by implementing a tourist tax, though critics have argued the tax is insufficient.
DiCaprio has spent much of his career advocating for environmental causes as both an individual and on behalf of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which has supported more than 200 projects in 50 countries since 1998. He has also produced several documentary films about the climate crisis, including The 11th Hour and Before the Flood.
The actor's commitment to environmental causes is what makes his attendance at the wedding so strange to some fans, considering both the wedding's environmental impact—on top of everything else, several guests arrived on private jets—and Bezos' own track record, which is murky at best.
A 2022 report found that Amazon, the company Bezos founded in 1994 and of which he is still executive chairman, drastically undercounts its own carbon footprint. Other analyses have found that Amazon generated 599 million pounds of plastic packaging waste in 2020 alone, contributing significantly to pollution, particularly of the world's oceans.
Other environmental activists have honed in on Bezos for the role he has played in accelerating climate change. In 2023, a group called Amazon Employees for Climate Justice published an open letter titled, 'Amazon is failing its own Climate Pledge,' ahead of an organized walkout. In it, the group criticized their employer for failing to meet the standards set by the Climate Pledge announced by Bezos in 2019.
At the time, Bezos said of the decision to make the pledge, 'We're done being in the middle of the herd on this issue—we've decided to use our size and scale to make a difference.' Four years on from the pledge, Amazon's emissions had increased by 40 percent, and it had abandoned commitments like the Shipment Zero pledge to make half of all shipments net-zero carbon by 2030.
In his acceptance speech at the Academy Awards for Best Actor for his role in The Revenant, DiCaprio told the crowd, 'Climate change is real, it is happening right now.'
'It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.'

AWGE Spring 2026: Clothes Maketh What You Make Of Them
Within the fashion realm, the black vans circling around the church where A$AP Rocky's spring AWGE show was held spelled the arrival of A-lister guests. But in the broader global landscape, one couldn't help think of ICE raids and protests, an impression the masked protesters and armed forces in flak vests facing off outside the venue did nothing to dispel. More from WWD A$AP Rocky Debuted New Puma Sneaker Collaborations in Paris With Support From Rihanna The Originals: Yohji Yamamoto Takashi Murakami and Readymade's Yuta Hosokawa Team on Capsule Collection The stage seemed set for a riot, and they got one – Riot Mayers in the arms of mom Rihanna. In their wake, the crowd moved inside with all the resigned weariness of travelers passing between the hands of the TSA and through security gates. Eventually, Rocky had guests – who included fellow musicians A$AP Nast, Miguel – nodding in their seats to the sound of a new track rumored to be from his hotly anticipated 'Don't Be Dumb' album. For AWGE's sophomore coed collection, titled 'Obligatory Clothing,' the rapper-turned-designer zeroed in on archetypes that went from suit-wearing lawyers and paramedics to youths in hair curlers and XXL streetwear, a glamourpuss wearing a trench over a micro-miniskirt and louche types in satin playing card prints – what you think they do for a living is on you. 'For me, this whole 'Obligatory Fashion' statement was just [about] how you take the simple uniform or the purpose of a uniform, and how people correlate that to profession, lifestyle and everything,' Rocky said after the show. By the time the hammer fell in the 'City Court of AWGE,' as one print indicated, the verdict was: if sharp tailoring is a crime, the brand is guilty as charged. Here, he continued to refine the ideas introduced in his first effort, and served his purpose of skewing perception. Suit jackets looked classic from the front and were backless; tailored trousers were split into a skirt; shirts turned into crisp halter tops; sagging trousers had six waistbands – half boxer shorts, half denim ones. Elsewhere, his eye for tweaking proportions just so came through strongly, as evidenced by a workwear suit cut oversized which felt dressed up under the combined influence of cropped trousers and red-soled patent Mary-Janes. It was the kind of detail that made his designs stand up to sartorial scrutiny. There were plenty of accessories to further mix things up, like paper bags with a flower peeking from the glass bottle inside, which brought Banksy's famous Flower Thrower mural to mind. The musical artist's collaborations were also represented. Eyewear and clutches shaped like XXL cases nodded to his role as creative director of Ray-Ban. Feet were clad in the upcoming Puma Mostro Gabbia and a distressed iteration on the Speedcat model. Those Mary-Janes and stilettos were from Christian Louboutin and came with bedazzled charms made by jewelry label Pavē Niteō, which is under the A$AP Rocky Ventures, Inc. umbrella. Pointed commentary on recent and current events as well as his own experiences was palpable but delivered with a light touch. 'I'm gonna put all of these things into my fashion to tell my story without having it to be so like 'look, I'm controversial and political,'' he said. 'I'm just showing you the way I see it in little nifty ways.' Just as pointed is his retail strategy. After available exclusively on the brand's website for its debut, the brand will now be opening to wholesale accounts. But don't expect to see AWGE on every major retail floor. 'I want to start off very niche…small, limited and exclusive,' Rocky said. 'There's no way to do that in an environment that's oversaturated with new brands, old brands.' Plus, 'there's just a lot going on in the global economy – it's f–ed, pardon my French, for lack of better words,' he continued. 'And I think I have a particular customer, and I want to target that customer [who] loves, grieves and agrees with everything that I like, my taste, my values, my lifestyle, my past, my conflictions and my story.' And that customer may get their hands on the goods sooner than they think: the brand announced it was holding a sample sale in Paris on Sunday and Monday. Zak Starkey Has Strong Advice For Replacement Drummer
Recently, the son of Ringo Starr, Zak Starkey, found himself out of a job when The Who ousted him from the band. But, The Who is not the only mega-famous band that Starkey has been a part of. From 2005 to 2008, Starkey was the touring drummer for Oasis. And, although you'd think that getting fired from The Who could send Starkey back to Oasis, the truth is he won't be returning to that band either, mostly for timing reasons. However, he does have some advice for the newest Oasis drummer, Joey Waronker. "The thing about groups that you love – like The Who or Oasis – is that it's not a job," Starkey told NME in a new interview. "It's about protecting music." To that point, about protecting the music, Starkey says the key to being a good Oasis drummer is simple. "Make sure you get the tempos right. Then boys know." Starkey might not be touring with Oasis anytime soon again, but he is, kind of, already in a supergroup with two Oasis members. Mantra Of The Cosmos consists of Shaun Ryder, Bez of The Happy Mondays, as well as Andy Bell, of Oasis. And the most recent song, "Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)," features Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher According to Starkey, when Gallagher heard the new song, he said: "'This is the maddest thing I've ever heard,' and that's a compliment!" You can listen to the over-the-top song yourself on Spotify or below. View the to see embedded media. Prince Harry Reportedly 'Full Of Regrets' Over His Role In The Royal Rift Amid Plea For Reconciliation
Prince Harry "regrets" the role he played in the ongoing rift with the royal family, especially after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit their roles as working royals. According to a new report, the Duke of Sussex wishes he had handled things "differently," as the feud between the two parties appears to have no end in sight. This follows the revelation that Prince Harry intends to extend an olive branch to his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William, by inviting them both to the 2027 Invictus Games. Harry and Meghan have been at odds with the royal family since the couple stepped back from their roles as senior royals and relocated to the U.S. Things further worsened when the pair had a sit-down with famous talk show host Oprah Winfrey and made allegations of bullying and racism against the royal family. Shortly afterwards, Harry dropped his bombshell memoir, "Spare," in which he made further strong allegations against his family members. According to royal author, Duncan Larcombe, Harry now regrets his actions and wishes he had taken a different approach. "Harry is a sensitive soul and always wore his heart on his sleeve, so whether he'd admit it publicly or not, I'm sure he's full of regrets and wishes he'd done things differently," Larcombe told OK! Magazine. He continued, "With Trooping the Colour and Father's Day falling on the same weekend, it was bound to make him look back at the happy relationships he once had with his brother and dad, and I'm sure he'd love to be able to rebuild those." The remarks by author Larcombe come after it was alleged that Harry is planning to invite King Charles and Prince William to the 2027 Invictus Games in a move that could mark the beginning of a royal reconciliation. The games, which will be held in Birmingham in July of that year, may serve as the setting for a long-awaited family reunion. According to sources, the Duke of Sussex has already approved a proposed royal guest list and helped shape the language of the upcoming invitations. Initial outreach to Buckingham Palace is expected to be made via email this month, with formal invitations to follow as the event draws closer. An insider told the Daily Mail that Harry is open to having his relatives present, noting, "The Royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. This is one olive branch from him that might be reciprocated." However, the royal family may face a delicate dilemma as the 2027 Invictus Games are scheduled to run from July 12 to July 17, dates that overlap with Queen Camilla's 80th birthday, a milestone already being marked with planned celebrations. The invitation to the Invictus Games is said to mark Harry's first public outreach to his family since tensions began more than five years ago, and with the idea of reconciliation back in the spotlight, royal experts are cautioning that deep-rooted issues, particularly those related to trust, still pose significant hurdles. Royal biographer Ingrid Seward noted that while Charles may be inclined to attend the Invictus Games to honor the armed forces and recognize Harry's achievements, there is hesitation. "The only reason the King is wary of associating with his son is that he no longer trusts him not to repeat their private conversations as he has done in the past. This goes for all the working members of the family," she said. Commentator Katie Nicholl echoed the sentiment, adding that despite past tensions, the monarch still longs for a meaningful relationship with Harry and his children. Meanwhile, royal commentator Katie Nicholl said, "The King absolutely wants a relationship with his youngest son and with his grandchildren." She added, "He has an incredible capacity for forgiveness, and he wants to be magnanimous in all of this, and therefore there's certainly a possibility that the King might consider attending Invictus." In an interview with the BBC last month, Harry opened up about his hopes for healing the long-standing rift within the royal family, expressing a desire to move forward, especially in light of Charles' ongoing battle with cancer. "There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family," he admitted. However, the duke emphasized that he's chosen forgiveness, saying, "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. Forgiveness is 100% a possibility because I would like to get my father and brother back." Harry also acknowledged the strain caused by ongoing disputes over security. "My father won't speak to me because of the security stuff," he revealed, noting that after losing his legal bid for police protection, he doesn't currently "see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point." As it stands, it's unclear whether Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will accompany him to the 2027 Invictus Games. If she opts not to attend, it would be the first time she's missed the event since meeting Harry. Meanwhile, according to HELLO! Magazine Harry and Meghan reportedly underwent another major staff shake-up, parting ways with four members of their team. Among those exiting are Kyle Boulia, the couple's deputy press secretary based in Los Angeles, and Charlie Gipson, their UK press officer. According to insiders, at least two other private staffers have also recently stepped down. These changes follow the couple's decision to bring in a new communications team, now led by Meredith Kendall Maines, who was appointed Chief Communications Officer earlier this year. A source close to the Sussexes noted that more changes could be on the horizon. "Something tells me there will be another change in the future," the insider said. "Meghan and Harry have hired some of the most incredible people at the top of their fields, yet somehow none of them ever work out."
