Video: Sawiris criticizes unofficial promo for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum
Businessman Naguib Sawiris criticized an unofficial video promoting the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The promo, generated using Artificial Intelligence, features a host of stars, including Yousra, Karim Abdel-Aziz, Mona Zaki, and Nelly Karim, in addition to the Egyptian international football superstar Mohamed Salah and Argentine legend Lionel Messi. Sawiris commented on the video: 'When we have the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, then we don't really need Messi, right?' The Egyptian Cabinet announced that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi approved the opening date of the Grand Egyptian Museum, set for November 1. Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly earlier stated that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi approved a date for the opening of the GEM. In response, the Prime Minister has instructed relevant ministries and authorities to prepare for the event. Madbouly confirmed that the museum's opening is being planned as an exceptional event, adding to Egypt's history of unique national occasions. The opening is expected to attract prominent official attendees from many countries around the world and will include a number of accompanying activities, the Prime Minister noted. Photos: Why did Mohamed Ramadan meet with Lara Trump in New York?
A photo of Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan with Lara Trump, the wife of President Donald Trump's son, has gone viral on social media. While Ramadan expressed his pleasure at being invited by Lara Trump to visit, a number of celebrities circulated photos revealing a completely different side to the story. Despite he'd written in his post, the meeting was not at the Trump family home, according to a Facebook post by a member of the National Press Club's Committee on Press Freedom, Ahmed Omar. Instead, it took place at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, a luxury resort owned by Trump in New Jersey, which is known for hosting major political and social events – not as a family residence. According to a post from American actor and host of the official launch party, Christopher Maccio, the reason for the meeting between Lara Trump and Mohamed Ramadan was a concert launched by his charitable foundation. The event was a fundraiser for the 'Make Music Right' initiative, and Lara Trump was the main guest. Earlier, Ramadan had posted photos with Lara Trump on his official Instagram account, commenting on the event: 'Happy to be invited by Mrs. Lara Trump and for her appreciation of my African continent.
