Unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard the news that 10-time Pro Bowler and four-time NFL MVP, Aaron Rodgers, will suit up for the Pittsburgh Steelers next season.

It was a long and arduous process, but Rodgers finally agreed to a one-year, $13.65 million contract with $10 million guaranteed.
One Steelers legend, four-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion linebacker Joey Porter Sr., couldn't be happier that Rodgers is in town.
'Man, me being honest, I was excited,' Porter said. 'I got to play against Aaron Rodgers and watch Aaron Rodgers do his thing. I feel like he got a lot of juice left in the arm. … He's not a guy that is going to go out there and trick it off. He ain't going to put us in bad situations. We ain't asking him to save us — we ask him not to lose the four games that we lose every year that we're not supposed to lose.'
Porter Sr. outlined his experience playing against Rodgers on the Not Just Football with Cam Heyward podcast.

The question, though, is, which version of Rodgers will the Steelers get?
Porter Sr. played against the Rodgers who was winning league MVPs and throwing for 40 touchdowns each season. That's not the player who took the field last year for the New York Jets.
Rodgers, who turns 42 in December, led the Jets to a 5-12 mark in his only full season in New York. Don't forget (Jets fans won't) that he missed all but four plays of the 2023 campaign after rupturing his Achilles on the first drive of the first game after joining the team two offseasons ago.
Last season should be one to forget for Rodgers. He finished below the league average in passer rating - a stat of which he's the all-time career leader, and 31st in the league in QBR - behind names like Aidan O'Connell and Kirk Cousins.

His five wins last season are his lowest win total since 2017, when he played just seven games for Green Bay and posted a 4-3 mark.
Rodgers' previous low win total was six, which he posted three times since taking over as the Packers' starting quarterback in 2008.
Which Rodgers will Pittsburgh get in 2025? It shouldn't take long to find out.

When the Los Angeles Lakers drafted University of California, Los Angeles guard Lonzo Ball with the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, it meant that his father, LaVar, would be front and center. The elder Ball, who played college basketball and had a brief pro football career, was essentially a hype man for his son, as well as the CEO of Big Baller Brand, a clothing and sneaker manufacturer. While the 6-foot-6 guard had his moments, he failed to even come close to playing at an All-Star level, and after two years with the Lakers, they sent him to the New Orleans Pelicans in the Anthony Davis trade. As a member of the Chicago Bulls, he suffered a meniscus tear in January 2022, and although he was initially expected to miss up to eight weeks, he ended up being out of action for nearly three calendar years. He ultimately underwent multiple surgical procedures as a result of the injury. Although he returned to action on Nov. 27, 2024, he only played in 35 games afterward. For the season, he averaged 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 22.2 minutes a game while shooting 36.6% from the field. There have been some strange rumors circulating around the NFL coaching ranks, especially since six-time Super Bowl champion head coach Bill Belichick left the New England Patriots last offseason. Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio suggested earlier this month that Belichick may have eyes on not just a return to the NFL, but also being the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There are two problems here. First, the Buccaneers already have a coach, and a coach that has won three straight division championships in Todd Bowles. Second, Belichick already has a job with the North Carolina Tar Heels. How would this make sense? Florio wrote that the Tar Heels general manager, Mike Lombardi, was suggesting that Bowles might be interested in retiring after this season, which was not substantiated by anyone. Advertisement Florio was curious what would motivate Lombardi to spread such a rumor. "So why would Lombardi be trying to speak a vacancy into existence? Maybe because that's one of the jobs Belichick would want," Florio wrote. "Even with all of the craziness that has happened of late, the Bucs can't be ruled out as a potential destination for Belichick." During an appearance on "Pardon My Take," Florio clarified all this by saying it's something that might not actually be happening. 'Allow me to weave my fan fiction. Belichick's consigliere Mike Lombardi, who is basically his unofficial mouthpiece, has been very quiet since all of the [Belichick's girlfriend] Jordon Hudson stuff hit the fan," Florio said. "Lombardi wouldn't shut up until this Hudson stuff happens, and now you can't find him anywhere. But he was putting out this idea that Todd Bowles would retire, possibly after the 2024 season. ... So I feel like Belichick has been eyeballing the Bucs. Maybe Lombardi was trying to speak it into existence that there'd be a vacancy there, because that's one of the teams where they've got the talent Belichick needs." Bowles isn't going anywhere unless he's fired, and while Belichick probably has an interest in a return to the NFL, we saw how interested other teams are in having him last offseason when he had zero offers.
