Warframe is smoothing out its new player experience

Digital Trends11-05-2025
A player's first steps into a new game can often be overwhelming, but that difficulty leaps exponentially when you're starting an MMO of 12 years. Warframe has expanded from a third-person action game to a hugely complex adventure with tons of side quests and bonus activities to explore, and now developer Digital Extremes is making changes to smooth the onboarding process for new players.
The next major update (titled Yareli Prime) lands on May 21, followed by the long-awaited Isleweaver update in June. These will bring in much-needed quality of life features, including a new feature called Arsenal Categories. With more than 50 different Warframes, it can be hard to tell which suit is best suited (pun intended) for a given mission. Arsenal Categories divides Warframes into Damage, Crowd Control, Support, Survival, and Stealth so players can more readily identify types at a glance.

Digital Extremes is quick to point out that every Warframe can handle every situation with the right build, however. The update isn't intended to shoehorn players into a specific style.
In addition to Arsenal Categories, weapons will also be split into different categories that 'identify core characteristics shared between weapons.' There are primary, secondary, and melee categories that partition weapons into their main type, such as rifle, throwable, or scythe.
Warframe offers so much content that it can feel overwhelming for new players, but these changes will make it easier to make those initial character choices about how you want to approach the game.
When the Isleweave update arrives in June, Junctions — a type of solo mission that introduces players to new mechanics — will also receive QoL changes. Previously, selecting a Junction would launch the mission, but it now opens a screen that shows the player all possible rewards and required tasks. Players will also be able to receive rewards upon completing a Junction task, rather than at the end of the mission after defeating the boss.
And that's just scraping the surface of Digital Extremes's updates for Warframe. The team laid out an incredibly detailed Reddit post with everything you can look forward to in the next couple of months.

Tesla is slow in reporting crashes and the feds have launched an investigation to find out why

NEW YORK (AP) — Federal auto safety regulators are investigating why Tesla (TSLA) has repeatedly broken rules requiring it to quickly tell them about crashes involving its self-driving technology, a potentially significant development given the company's plans to put hundreds of thousands of driverless cars on U.S. roads over the next year. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a filing on Thursday that Tesla's reports on 'numerous' incidents involving its driver assistance and self-driving features were submitted far too late — several months after the crashes instead of within five days as required. The probe comes two months after the electric vehicle maker run by Elon Musk started a self-driving taxi service in Austin, Texas, with hopes of soon offering it nationwide. The company also hopes to send over-the-air software updates to millions of Teslas already on the road that will allow them to drive themselves. Investors enthusiastic about such plans have kept Tesla stock aloft despite plunging sales and profits due to boycotts over Musk's support for U.S. President Donald Trump and far-right politicians in Europe. The safety agency said the probe will focus on why Tesla took so long to report the crashes, whether the reports included all the necessary data and details and if there are crashes that the agency still doesn't know about. Tesla did not respond to a request for comment, but the agency noted that the company has told it the delays were 'due to an issue with Tesla's data collection," which Tesla says has now been fixed. The new investigation follows another probe that began in October into potential problems with Tesla's self-driving technology in foggy weather and other low visibility conditions, which has led to several accidents including one death. That probe involves 2.5 million Tesla vehicles. Tesla stock fell nearly 1% in midday trading Thursday to $321. US labor, advocacy groups urge states to reject Tesla's $29 billion Musk pay

By Akash Sriram (Reuters) -A coalition of U.S. labor unions and progressive advocacy groups urged state financial officers overseeing public pension funds to oppose fresh pay awards for Tesla CEO Elon Musk, warning the excessive cost poses risks to workers' retirement savings. A mix of labor unions and liberal advocacy groups, including the American Federation of Teachers and MoveOn, urged state officials to press asset managers to reject Musk's new pay plans and push for stronger board independence at the EV maker, in a letter exclusively shared with Reuters. Many states manage pension funds for teachers and other employees, which are among the largest U.S. investors. Tesla and Musk did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The appeal comes amid a legal saga over Musk's record pay package. In January last year, Delaware Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick voided Musk's 2018 package, then valued at about $56 billion, calling it an "unfathomable" award by a conflicted board. Tesla this month granted Musk 96 million new shares valued at about $29 billion as a good-faith interim payment while his 2018 pay package remains under appeal. The Tesla board said to shareholders that retaining Musk is essential, as his leadership is critical for the company's transition from an EV maker to a robotics and AI-focused firm. In June last year, Tesla shareholders ratified the payout and approved relocating the company's legal home to Texas, but the court case remained unresolved, with McCormick later allowing for appeals that could extend for months. The groups urged officials to oppose any new pay package and to vote against directors who fail to show independence from Musk. "Shareholders in Tesla shouldn't be taking dilutions so that the wealthiest man in the world can be handed additional Tesla shares," some of the advocates said via email. Tesla has not yet published a proxy outlining the ballot items at the next annual meeting, but the groups expect the issue to be included. 擷取數據時發生錯誤 登入存取你的投資組合 擷取數據時發生錯誤 擷取數據時發生錯誤 擷取數據時發生錯誤 擷取數據時發生錯誤
