TOUCHDOWN: Browns extend their lead!

The Lions safety was taken to a local hospital for evaluation Getty Images Q1 3:55 - Browns 21, Panthers 7 The Browns get it done on the ground this time after getting set up by that long Shedeur Sanders pass. Some nice designs from offensive coordinator Tommy Rees there, especially on the scoring play — a jet sweep on fourth-and-goal. Q3 0:00 - Lions 17, Falcons 10 Through three quarters, the Lions are up seven on the Falcons. Detroit scores the only points of the third quarter with Kyle Allen's second touchdown pass. Lions coach Dan Campbell said at halftime that he hopes his team can 'create some takeaways' in the second half. It will be interesting to see if that comes to fruition as the Falcons start the fourth quarter with the ball. Imagn Images Q3 6:25 - Browns 14, Panthers 7 And just like that, another long Shedeur Sanders completion down the field has the Browns inside the Panthers' 15-yard line. Q3 7:29 - Browns 14, Panthers 7 A great play on the ball from reserve Browns safety Nik Needham on a throw under pressure from Andy Dalton. Cleveland gets the ball in Carolina territory for the second time tonight — can Shedeur Sanders turn it into another touchdown drive? Q3 0:42 - Lions 17, Falcons 10 A former Georgia Bulldogs star scores in Atlanta. On first-and-goal, Kyle Allen uses his legs, rolling out to his right and throwing to Jackson Meeks for the touchdown. What an end to the third quarter for the Lions, who cap an 11-play, 57-yard drive with a touchdown. Detroit retakes the lead! Imagn Images Halftime - Patriots 27, Commanders 3 Josh Dobbs takes a couple of shots down the field on New England's last possession before the half, but he isn't able to convert on any of them, leading to a punt as the final seconds tick off the clock. The Patriots will have to settle for a 24-point lead at the break. Imagn Images Wide receiver Luke Floriea, who has impressed in camp and had the highlight of this game with his one-handed catch, is going to the locker room with members of the team medical staff. Q3 8:15 - Browns 14, Panthers 7 Another brutal three-and-out, this one by the Browns with Shedeur Sanders still out there. Imagn Images Have to feel for a quarterback like Andy Dalton playing in the second half of a preseason game. I get it that players need reps, but does a quarterback who has seen as much action as Dalton really need those reps? That can't be that enjoyable for a veteran like Dalton. Q3 10:20 - Browns 14, Panthers 7 That's one way to take a sack ... Andy Dalton pump-fakes a pass so hard, he slips and falls down! The loss of yardage essentially kills the Panthers' drive. Getty Images Q3 12:44 - Browns 14, Panthers 7 After Cleveland's defense forces a quick three-and-out, kick returner Gage Larvadain nearly takes the ensuing punt to the house, but a shoestring tackle saves an embarrassing sight for the Panthers. Shedeur Sanders is back out there to take over from near midfield. But he can't make anything come of it, as the Browns also start the second half with a quick three-and-out. Sanders shakes his head in frustration walking off the field. Q2 2:37 - Patriots 27, Commanders 3 New England's dominance in this matchup continues ... On fourth-and-goal, Josh Dobbs drops back and shuffles around the pocket before taking off into the end zone nearly untouched, capping off the sequence with a celebratory spike. The extra point by Borregales is good. Imagn Images Q3 15:00 - Browns 14, Panthers 7 In a bit of a surprise, Andy Dalton is still in there for the Panthers. We'll see how much longer the veteran Carolina second-stringer lasts in this game — and how much longer Shedeur Sanders goes, too, before he's pulled. Here's a look at how the yardage totals for the Browns and Panthers break down as the second half is about to kick off ... Q3 11:48 - Lions 10, Falcons 10 Wow! What a strike from Lions kicker Jake Bates. He blasts a 57-yard kick through the middle of the uprights, tying the game at 10. That's two kicks tonight of 57 yards. Kickers showing out in Atlanta! Getty Images This isn't the first time Shedeur Sanders has entered a setting with an abundance of hype and lived up to it. The Browns rookie is 11-for-18 with 103 pass yards, two touchdown passes and no interceptions. He also has 19 rushing yards on four carries. Imagn Images Q2 5:33 - Patriots 20, Commanders 3 Washington is finally on the board. It's been a quiet half for Sam Hartman, but he led a nice drive just now, spanning 12 plays and 50 yards. Matt Gay gets a bit of redemption after missing a field goal earlier, this time converting from 37 yards out. Imagn Images Q3 15:00 - Falcons 10, Lions 7 The second half is underway with Detroit having the ball first. Shedeur Sanders made arguably his best pass of the night on the Browns' sixth possession. He rolled to the right, and with a rusher in his face, lofted one downfield to wide receiver Luke Floriea for 30 yards. Three plays later, he was throwing his second TD pass of the night — again to Kaden Davis.

Digital Foundry: Nintendo's free Switch 2 game updates are more like remasters. The folks at Digital Foundry have done more pixel counting , this time looking into the first-party Switch 1 games with upgrades we also found impressive . While Switch 2 Edition upgrades for games like Breath of the Wild cost extra, they found that these updates to games like Splatoon 3, Super Mario Odyssey, and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening make the games' artwork better, thanks to running at higher framerates and with higher resolution. Is that exactly good enough for the new system?

Elden Ring: Nightreign's First Patch Doesn't Address The Game's Biggest Problems

Nightreign FromSoftware has released the first major update for its new multiplayer Elden Ring spinoff Nightreign. The update makes some important fixes and includes crucial balancing changes, but leaves the game's most pressing issues for a later patch – assuming the developer chooses to listen to player complaints. The biggest change in Update 1.0.1.1 is to solo play. The new 'Automatic Revival Upon Defeat' mechanic allows solo players to revive one time per boss fight. This isn't much, but it gives solo players a fighting chance in what can only be described as a truly brutal single-player experience that makes many of the original game's boss fights look like a cakewalk. Solo players will now also gain more runes for their troubles. Other changes include increases to the number of rare Relics players can obtain as a reward for completing Day 3 Expeditions. The probability of obtaining high-rarity Relics from Scenic Flat Stone purchases at the Small Jar Bazaar has also been increased. Beyond that, the patch is mostly bug fixes to various ailments, skills and spells that weren't working properly at launch. Some of the bigger issues – from the lack of a Duos option to missing voice chat and crossplay – remain a problem. I'll have further thoughts on the game later. As it stands, there's a good gameplay loop here, but I have quite a few issues with how each Expedition plays out and I worry that without a steady stream of live-service updates, the game will get repetitive quickly. Nintendo details Switch 2 updates for Switch games

Nintendo announced last month that it would be updating a handful of Switch games to run better on the Switch 2, and now some details about the planned improvements are available on its website. The improvements vary per game, but they include things like optimizing visuals for the Switch 2's larger screen, better framerates, HDR support, and GameShare support. The full list of games getting free updates is below, and you can see the specific updates on Nintendo's website. The updates will all be available on June 5th, the same day the Switch 2 launches: These updates aren't quite as big as the paid Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrades for games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Party Jamboree. But if you're looking to revisit some older Switch games on the Switch 2, even the smaller improvements could feel welcome – especially for games like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and the Link's Awakening remake that sometimes struggled on the original Switch hardware.

Warframe is smoothing out its new player experience

A player's first steps into a new game can often be overwhelming, but that difficulty leaps exponentially when you're starting an MMO of 12 years. Warframe has expanded from a third-person action game to a hugely complex adventure with tons of side quests and bonus activities to explore, and now developer Digital Extremes is making changes to smooth the onboarding process for new players. The next major update (titled Yareli Prime) lands on May 21, followed by the long-awaited Isleweaver update in June. These will bring in much-needed quality of life features, including a new feature called Arsenal Categories. With more than 50 different Warframes, it can be hard to tell which suit is best suited (pun intended) for a given mission. Arsenal Categories divides Warframes into Damage, Crowd Control, Support, Survival, and Stealth so players can more readily identify types at a glance. Recommended Videos Digital Extremes is quick to point out that every Warframe can handle every situation with the right build, however. The update isn't intended to shoehorn players into a specific style. In addition to Arsenal Categories, weapons will also be split into different categories that 'identify core characteristics shared between weapons.' There are primary, secondary, and melee categories that partition weapons into their main type, such as rifle, throwable, or scythe. Warframe offers so much content that it can feel overwhelming for new players, but these changes will make it easier to make those initial character choices about how you want to approach the game. When the Isleweave update arrives in June, Junctions — a type of solo mission that introduces players to new mechanics — will also receive QoL changes. Previously, selecting a Junction would launch the mission, but it now opens a screen that shows the player all possible rewards and required tasks. Players will also be able to receive rewards upon completing a Junction task, rather than at the end of the mission after defeating the boss. And that's just scraping the surface of Digital Extremes's updates for Warframe. The team laid out an incredibly detailed Reddit post with everything you can look forward to in the next couple of months.
