Donald Trump could be humbled during Pope Francis' funeral as the US leader is likely set to be given a "third-tier" seat after he mocked Joe Biden for his position during Queen Elizabeth II's funeral three years ago, claiming "location is everything". As one of the most famous faces in the world, the US president is not accustomed to playing second place but he could be disappointed by seating arrangements for the Pope's funeral on Saturday. Despite being one of the first heads of state to confirm his attendance at the historic memorial, Trump is unlikely to get a place in the front row of dignitaries. Foreign dignitaries will be seated in a block to one side of Francis' coffin while archbishops, bishops, patriarchs and cardinals will be seated opposite them. While the Vatican has not released any official details of the seating plan, details from the last funeral of a sitting pope indicate that Trump might have to settle for a third-row seat. His placement was in line with protocol that leaders of the realms that retain the monarch as their head of state were seated first and elected Commonwealth leaders behind them. But Trump brutally mocked Biden, claiming it indicated there was "no respect" for the US. "This is what's happened to America in just two short years. No respect," he wrote on social media. "However, a good time for our president to get to know the leaders of certain Third World countries." Trump claimed the situation would have been different if he were president, adding: 'If I were president, they wouldn't have sat me back there – and our Country would be much different than it is right now.:" He concluded: 'In real estate, like in politics and in life, location is everything.' The Pope's funeral will mark the biggest gathering of world leaders since Trump's January inauguration. The seating arrangements could create diplomatic awkwardness, Catherine Pepinster, a former editor of The Tablet and a commentator on the Catholic Church told The Telegraph . She explained: 'One of the interesting aspects of a ceremony such as this is that the Holy See has diplomatic relations with countries such as Russia and Iran, which may mean that world leaders who would not usually meet, would encounter one another in Rome, either the night before the funeral or at the actual ceremony."

NATO jets scrambled as Russia launches brutal new attacks despite Putin 'peace claims'
