SINGAPORE – Jin from K-pop boy band BTS has released a teaser for his upcoming music video, which includes a scene filmed at National Gallery Singapore.
It is for his song Don't Say You Love Me, one of the tracks from his second solo EP Echo, which is set to be released on May 16.
In the 37-second teaser, which dropped on May 13, the 32-year-old South Korean singer is seen walking on a bridge at the arts museum, home to the world's largest public collection of South-east Asian modern art. The camera then cuts to a shot of his co-star, South Korean actress Shin Se-kyung, and the pair then face each other.

A series of photos featuring locations in Singapore was also used by the oldest member of BTS for an online campaign to promote Echo. Fans who unlocked the code on the website dialj.in/phone were treated to images that included the Singapore Flyer and Gardens by the Bay.
BTS' Instagram page also includes posts promoting Don't Say You Love Me that feature photos of the Marina Bay skyline and the Singapore Flyer.
Echo comprises seven songs and is the follow-up to Jin's debut solo EP Happy, released in November 2024.
To promote both EPs, he will embark on his first global solo tour, the RunSeokjin Ep. Tour. It kicks off on June 28 in Goyang, South Korea, and ends on Aug 10 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Jin is the latest international music star to film music videos in Singapore in recent years. In February, British band Coldplay released Man In The Moon (2024), which features scenes filmed at Marina Bay and Fort Canning.
Other artistes who have filmed here as part of a collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board include American singers Billie Eilish and Charlie Puth, American band OneRepublic and Hong Kong-born star Jackson Wang.

K-pop supernova Jisoo on stepping into a new era with her label and acting career

Two years after her debut solo album Me captured global attention, Jisoo is embarking on a vibrant new chapter, marked by inspiring evolution and creative autonomy. With the release of her introspective second solo album, Amortage —a cinematic journey through love and growth—and the founding of her own label, Blissoo, the multi-talented artist is navigating a period of intense creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Beyond her celebrated roles as a member of the K-pop group Blackpink, a globally acclaimed solo performer and an increasingly sought-after actress, the star champions a profound personal philosophy: one that consciously steers away from past regrets and future anxieties, anchoring her firmly in what she beautifully terms the 'circuit of happiness in the present'. This guiding principle is palpable not only in her artistic expressions, from the style concepts of her music videos to her commitment to new genres, but also in her thoughtful approach to leadership and life's myriad experiences. Jisoo's role as Dior ambassador has evolved into a defining chapter in the brand's modern legacy. She wears a spring/summer 2017 haute couture dress designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Go Wontae Below, the global superstar sits down with Vogue in an exclusive interview, delving into the inspirations behind Amortage , the heartfelt challenges and joys of establishing Blissoo, her immersive experiences in acting—including the upcoming drama Boyfriend on Demand . How have you been feeling lately? It's been hectic! All the work I've done non-stop over the past year is finally being released, so everything feels a bit chaotic and unorganised—like a jumbled mess. But at the same time, I feel proud as each project comes to light. In the years that followed, Christian Dior observed how women, especially Americans, approached fashion and lifestyle: the energy of New York, the relaxed and joyful atmosphere of San Francisco, and the refined comforts of everyday life. These impressions are reflected in his autumn/winter 1954 haute couture collection, which captures the energy of a woman who is both active and elegant, as seen in this skirt suit made of 'H' line Lesur Tweed. Go Wontae It's been two years since you released your first solo album Me featuring 'Flower' and now you've come back with your second solo album Amortage . The title blends 'amour' and 'montage', capturing the theme of growth through love and heartbreak. I hoped it would feel like a well-crafted film—a journey through love and farewell, full of cinematic charm. I wanted people to remember the album as if they were witnessing those moments on screen. I'm so grateful that many have understood and embraced that meaning. The music video for 'Earthquake' showcased geek-chic and rock-chic fashion. Where did those style concepts come from and which part was your favourite? I liked the geek-chic concept in the office scenes the most. I wanted to visually express how moments that shake your heart often hit you out of nowhere, and I think that scene captured it best. Plus, filming with glasses on was a fun touch! What part of the album-making process do you enjoy the most? Taking on new genres. Whether it's music, fashion or the music video, I love trying things I've never shown before—things that are new even for me. There's a real thrill in tackling each challenge like a quest, and breaking through them one by one. A ball gown inspired by Monsieur Dior's lifelong fascination with astrology. Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, this taffeta silk dress was introduced in the spring/summer 2017 haute couture collection. Go Wontae Since this is your first album under your newly founded label, Blissoo, you had to make all the decisions yourself. What challenges have you faced while running the company? Sometimes it feels like a huge burden knowing that so many people are relying on me. But now, I try to work even harder—not just to get things done, but to make sure everyone involved can truly enjoy the process. Newtopia really showcased your bold and confident image. What did that project leave you with? I learnt a lot from working with such amazing people. Watching Young-joo push through tough moments without hesitation instead of getting stuck in frustration taught me a lot personally, too. For Dior's Les Jardins de la Couture high jewellery collection, unveiled in June 2023 at Villa Erba on Italy's Lake Como, Maria Grazia Chiuri designed a couture dress crafted to echo the collection's splendour. Made from lily-of-the-valley patterned silk taffeta jacquard, the gown is embellished with pearls, sequins and intricate embroidery. Go Wontae You're currently filming the drama Boyfriend on Demand , which is set to air in 2026. The story revolves around entering a virtual world to find a boyfriend. What motivates you to keep taking on projects without a break? I want to experience as much as I can through roles that have different personalities or values from mine. I also want to show everyone the many sides of who I am as a person. As an actress, can you recall a moment when you were fully immersed in a character? Filming the final scene of Snowdrop was incredibly emotional and difficult. Thinking about Yeong-ro, who had to carry all that loss and still find a way to move forward, brought me to tears without even realising it. You must be happy to be with the Blackpink members, but there must also be some challenges. What does it mean to have your friends by your side? The thing I'm happiest about is having friends to talk to. After working alone for so long, I really miss the memories of eating delicious food and hanging out with the members during tours. Above all, I'm excited to see Blinks around the world who have waited so patiently. As for the challenges, I think managing my health is the biggest one. This time, I'll be sure to keep up with exercise and take good care of my stamina. 'I want to experience as much as I can through roles that have different personalities or values from mine.' It's already been nine years since your debut. Looking back, what do you consider your greatest achievement? The most meaningful achievement is Blackpink. That will never change for the rest of my life. If you had the chance to go back and fix something in the past, what would you change? I don't have any regrets. I just want to show an even better version of myself moving forward. You mentioned that you accept what has already happened and easily forget the bad things. That's truly an enviable personality. Still, when tough times come, how do you overcome them? When it gets really hard, I write. Expressing myself that way helps me release and heal some of the pain. Jisoo stuns in a chic haute couture ensemble—a jacket paired with a striking red skirt, cinched in with a statement belt. Go Wontae When do you feel happiest? I'm good at feeling happiness. It's the little things that bring me the most joy—like eating delicious food or taking a stroll on a particularly nice day. I heard you sometimes make in-game purchases impulsively. If there's something I want or feel like doing, I tend to buy it or jump right in on the spot. Usually, I don't shop much and mostly stay at home, but when something comes to mind that I really want, I act on it immediately. I try to keep myself in mind and take good care of myself. Raf Simons' designs brought a fresh kind of modernity: minimalist, romantic and restrained. From voluminous guipure lace and thickly embroidered paillettes to photo-printed vinyl, gilets and opera coats, the spring/summer 2015 haute couture collection reimagined appliqués and pleats through an architectural lens. The look: a bustier dress crafted from cotton guipure lace. Go Wontae What do you value when making friends or working with others? Rather than focusing on the flaws of others, I try not to display behaviours or attitudes that I dislike. Because that would be contradictory. What quality do you find most admirable? The ability to admit and acknowledge things. What's one thing you want to achieve this year? This year, I want to develop a hobby that lets me spend my downtime meaningfully. BTS members RM, V discharged from South Korea military, looking forward to reunion

K-pop supergroup BTS members RM and V were discharged from the South Korean military on Tuesday (Jun 10) after mandatory service, as fans are counting down to the band's comeback with more members finishing their military duty later this month. Cheered by dozens of fans near the military base, the two members in their army uniforms saluted the crowd and said they will soon be returning to perform. "To all the ARMYs who have waited for us in the military, I want to say I am truly, truly grateful. Please wait just a little longer and we will return with a really cool performance," V said in front of fans and media. Known as ARMY, BTS has a global fan club with millions of loyal followers. Two other bandmates, Jin and J-Hope, were discharged from the military earlier and have been performing solo and appearing on variety shows. Jimin, Jung Kook and Suga are set to wrap their military service as late as Jun 21, media reports say. The globally recognised K-pop icon BTS has not released a group project since 2022 and its members are hoping for the reunion. 'After pursuing our own little ventures, we are now coming back together, and I love that for us,' J-Hope told a magazine in December. Entertainment group HYBE that manages BTS is planning a huge event called BTS FESTA this week for fans to celebrate the band's 12th anniversary. It is not clear whether the members will show up, but Jin attended last year. Holding a flower bouquet for their discharge from the army, RM said he wanted to perform the most.
