The WWE main roster could soon be getting a dose of sunshine, as NXT standout Sol Ruca is reportedly being seriously considered for a call-up. A new report suggests that there is a growing sense within the company that the athletic superstar is destined for Raw or SmackDown.
According to a new report from WrestleVotes Radio, Ruca has some very influential supporters in her corner. The timing of the report, coming just after SummerSlam, is also very significant.
High Praise From The Main Roster
The WrestleVotes report states that there are several people with "direct influence on the main roster that love Sol Ruca and think the world of her potential." The report concludes that there is a "growing sense internally that a call-up to the main roster is coming."
This is a major vote of confidence for the 25-year-old, who has been one of the most promising homegrown talents in the NXT system for the past couple of years.
A Viral Sensation
Sol Ruca first captured the attention of the wrestling world with her innovative and spectacular finishing move, the "Sol Snatcher." The move, a standing, forward-imploding springboard cutter, is one of the most unique finishers in all of wrestling. A clip of her executing the move on an episode of NXT television went viral in early 2023, immediately putting her on the map as a star to watch.

Her on-screen character is an extension of her real-life background. With a history as a collegiate acrobatics and tumbling champion and a passion for surfing, she brings a unique, high-flying, and agile style to the ring that sets her apart.
The Comeback
Ruca's momentum was temporarily halted in 2023 when she suffered a torn ACL, a significant injury that kept her out of action for nearly a year. However, she made a successful and triumphant return to the ring earlier this year. Her ability to come back from such a serious injury and perform at the same high level has reportedly impressed many within the company.
With the post-SummerSlam "season" of WWE now underway, it is a traditional time for new stars to debut on the main roster. All signs now point to Sol Ruca being one of the next top prospects to get the call.

Tears Over Golden Retriever's Way of Getting Pets From Strangers at Fence

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A Nashville resident has delighted internet viewers by revealing the adorable four-legged "tourist trap" she recently discovered. Caroline Clark was headed to her favorite wine bar in Nashville, Tennessee, when she spotted a colorful signpost reading "BEANZ" outside someone's yard. Indeed, there wasn't just one sign either, as there were multiple frames dotted along the fence. Clark told Newsweek that she initially thought they were "growing beans in their garden" as it was all so pretty and serene. But then she noticed the actual tourist attraction that all the signposts were really for, and she couldn't get enough. Indeed, it wasn't beans they were growing in their yard, but rather, an adorable golden retriever named Beanz. The colorful frames allow him to poke his head through the fence and receive all the fuss and attention from passersby. From left: Caroline Clark pets Beanz through the fence. Despite already running late for her plans at Butterlamp, a bread and wine bar, Clark said she couldn't resist staying with Beanz for several minutes. She happily stayed there chatting and petting the golden retriever, who certainly made her date night even more memorable. Clark captured a video of her "fave tourist trap" in Nashville and shared it on TikTok (@themotleycaro). Needless to say, internet users are obsessed with Beanz, and the clip has gone viral with over 272,000 views and more than 52,000 likes on TikTok at the time of writing. "He's an angel, and, since posting, so many neighbors have shared how much they love Beanz too and walk by just to say hi," Clark continued. There is no doubt that the golden retriever loves all the attention he gets as well; Clark said she could tell how much of a "social love bug" he truly is. From now on, every time she returns to Butterlamp, Clark will absolutely be on the lookout for Beanz. She said: "Everyone is obsessed. Some are locals who are hoping to find him, and others are considering finding him when they travel into town. Hopefully, his newfound fame will bring him many more joyful interactions." With over 215 comments on the viral TikTok video, internet users have praised this adorable idea, and many are desperate to visit the newest tourist hotspot in town. One comment on the post reads: "wait I'll be in Nashville next weekend, where do I find Beanz!" Another TikTok user wrote: "This is a tourist trap I can get behind!" A third person posted: "Where is this golden opportunity?" One comment added: "Now, for this, I'd wait in line for hours." DP World Tour Player Hints at Superficial Side of Justin Rose's Career

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Justin Rose is well known for his expressive displays on the golf course. A close example is his recent victory at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where he was seen pumping his fist in victory, while his energetic celebrations at the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome are also well-remembered. His demeanor, both on and off the courses, makes him seem completely genuine in his reactions. However, one of his countrymen, Eddie Pepperell, recently cast some doubt on this. Days before Rose won in Memphis, Pepperell gave an interview to the National Club Golfer Podcast. Speaking about the Ryder Cup as a phenomenon, he made some surprising statements about Rose. "The (Ryder Cup) one in Rome was just brilliant," Pepperell said. "It was Justin (Rose) holing that putt on the 18th and going mad. I always think, with somebody like Justin Rose, how much of it is superficial and how much of it is real. Because, no disrespect to Justin, I think that he's done things in his career where there's been a bit of superficiality involved." Justin Rose of England reacts after making a birdie on the 18th hole during a playoff against J.J. Spaun during the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship 2025 at TPC Southwind on August 10, 2025 in Memphis, Tennessee. MorePepperell didn't go into detail about the moments in Rose's career where "superficiality" has surfaced. In fact, he later acknowledged him as a great player. "I take nothing away from him. I find him great, he's absolutely fantastic." Rose has had a great Ryder Cup career, with six appearances, winning four of them (2012, 2014, 2018, 2023). The Englishman has scored 15.5 points for the European team throughout his career, and his best performance came in 2014 at Gleneagles, when he secured four points thanks to three wins and two draws, and was the team's best player. During his interview, Pepperell also hinted that the team spirit that shines through at the Ryder Cup is very real, but that it has grown over time. "I would say, having played a lot of golf with a lot of them or some golf with a lot of the guys that are part of these Ryder Cup teams now, it seems more real now than it's ever been," he said. "I know that the team captains in Europe have worked incredibly hard at trying to engender a great team spirit and they've clearly succeeded in that." "So all these guys, Rory (McIlroy), Tommy (Fleetwood), they just love being part of that team environment. And, so I think that it is genuine and, and it's infectious, you know, it definitely comes through the TV screen." Eddie Pepperell has been playing professional golf since 2011, primarily on European tours. He has won two tournaments on the DP World Tour. Ryder Cup Rosters Come Into Focus With Six Auto Bids Already Locked in

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Ryder Cup is just over a month away, and fans can barely wait for the tee-off. Excitement mounts as the teams' announcement approaches, even more so now that the first six qualifiers, three from each team, are officially known. Scottie Scheffler for the American team and Rory McIlroy for the European side were the first to mathematically qualify. Scheffler achieved his qualifier in early June, following his victory at the Memorial Tournament, while McIlroy secured his spot after participating in the US Open. Scottie Scheffler of Team United States celebrates on the 17th green during the Friday afternoon fourball matches of the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf Club on September 29, 2023 in Rome, Italy. Scottie Scheffler of Team United States celebrates on the 17th green during the Friday afternoon fourball matches of the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf Club on September 29, 2023 in Rome, completing the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first tournament of the PGA Tour playoffs, four more players secured their spots on the team. JJ Spaun and Xander Schauffele among the Americans, and Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood among the Europeans. Rose and Fleetwood are two Ryder Cup veterans with extraordinary performances under their belts. Schauffele will be making his third appearance in the event, while Spaun will be making his full debut wearing the red, white and blue. Three direct spots remain to be filled on each team. On the American side, there's a six-man race. Russell Henley, Bryson DeChambeau, and Harris English are currently hold spots Nos. 4-6, but Justin Thomas (seventh), Collin Morikawa (eighth), and Ben Griffin (10th) could overtake them, depending on what happens at the BMW Championship. Reporting for duty Captain! 🇪🇺 — Justin ROSE (@JustinRose99) August 11, 2025 The players ranked 10th-13th -- Keegan Bradley, Maverick McNealy, Andrew Novak and Brian Harman -- also have a chance to crack the top six, but would need a strong finish, or even a title, at the BMW Championship. The competition is just as tight on the European side. Robert MacIntyre (fourth), Tyrrell Hatton (fifth), and Sepp Straka (sixth) are just a few points ahead of Shane Lowry (seventh), Rasmus Højgaard (eighth), and Ludvig Aberg (ninth). Straka and Hojgaard are in the worst situation: Straka will miss the BMW Championship due to a family matter, and Hojgaard will miss it because he failed to qualify. However, the Dane will have the opportunity to earn points in his homeland, as he will be playing in the DP World Tour's Danish Golf Championship. Once the final direct qualifiers have been determined, captains Bradley and Luke Donald must select the remaining six members of their teams. This will be another stage that is sure to keep all fans on the edge of their seats. More Golf: FedEx Cup: Five Players Who Crumbled at St. Jude Championship
