Taylor Swift's 12th Era Revealed With An Assist From Travis And Jason Kelce
Taylor Swift has officially kicked off her 12th era, and she had some very famous friends by her side for the reveal. The Grammy-winning singer stunned fans when she dropped the news about her upcoming album during a surprise appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce's "New Heights" podcast. The unexpected crossover between pop royalty and NFL stars had social media in a frenzy, as Swift shared hints about her upcoming music while the Kelce brothers cheered her on. Taylor Swift Announces 12th Album On August 11, there was a huge buzz that Taylor Swift would make her first appearance on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason, and she didn't let fans down. The "Cruel Summer" crooner made her debut most memorably as she revealed the title of her upcoming 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl." In a teaser shared just after midnight on August 12 on Instagram, Swift said, "Can I show you something?" to which Jason replied, "Okay. What do we got? We got a briefcase? Mint green, with T.S. on it." He then inquired about what was in the briefcase, prompting the big reveal. "This is my brand new album, 'The Life of a Showgirl,'" Swift revealed. Swift Updates Her Website Amid Announcement Travis couldn't hold back his excitement as he cheered, "TS 12!" While the album cover itself remained hidden, Taylor Swift's website updated to display a blurred mix of orange and green, sparking endless fan theories. The site also launched pre-order options for vinyl, cassette, and CD editions, with the CD version including a special poster. However, the track list for the highly anticipated album was kept under wraps, adding even more mystery to the announcement. On the "New Heights" set, eagle-eyed fans spotted a row of orange-covered books behind the singer. Among them were works by artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Marc Chagall, and Ruth Asawa. The background also featured a silver microphone, a football, and a book on Mark Rothko, known for abstract paintings that often feature orange tones. Another book appeared to spotlight Charles and Ray Eames, the iconic husband-and-wife duo who revolutionized 20th-century industrial design. Fans React To The Big News The clip was also shared on Facebook, and fans couldn't hold back their thoughts. Some revealed that Travis would be so proud of Taylor Swift. "I can hear Trav saying 'that's my woman and I'm damn proud!' You go, guys, a love story that all of America, and probably a lot of the world, are invested in at this point. Feeling the butterflies?" one fan wrote. Another user commented on Jason and Travis' excited reactions, noting that they represented the entire fandom. "Jason is the representation of the whole fandom's reaction right now," they wrote. A third fan also shared, "The look on Travis' face says it all!! He's like a kid on Xmas morning, haha." Others revealed that they couldn't wait to watch the full episode of the podcast, which will air on Wednesday, August 13. Denise Welsh Shades Taylor Swift Swift's big reveal comes weeks after the pop star made the headlines due to Denise Welch's shady comments about her. In July, Welch, Swift's ex Matt Healy's mother, sparked a buzz after delivering a very pointed joke about the star during her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen." Asked about Swift's album "The Tortured Poets Department," which is widely believed to reference her brief romance with her son, Welch said, "not being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad that I lost." The studio audience gasped, and she quickly added, "Not that I have anything against her at all. It was just, you know, it was tricky." She also chimed in on how her son handled the fallout, noting that "Matty has taken it all in completely good grace," and added that he's now "very happy with his amazing fiancée." Taylor Swift Chooses Peace Over Violence Following Welch's comments, Swifties took to social media to slam the 63-year-old. However, Swift remained silent about the situation. Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source revealed that the 35-year-old found the comments obnoxious, but decided to take the "high road." They noted that if Swift ever decided to respond, it would be in a future song. "But as of right now, she might just let it slide. She is not going to let Denise ruin her day. Taylor respected Denise and will continue to do so, as this will go away very quickly," the source shared. Overall, they explained that Swift was in a happy place and prioritized her peace. They don't know… but they're about to. Three decades after charismatically crooning his wa y into R&B history with 'Someone to Love' and 'They Don't Know,' Grammy-nominated Jon B is still sizzling with smooth, grown-folk love songs and oozing Casanova charm; this time with his brand-new album, Waiting on You. Source: Shannon Laurine Jon B has been a cornerstone of soulful music since the mid-1990s, captivating audiences with his hits like 'Someone to Love,' featuring Babyface, 'They Don't Know,' and 'Are U Still Down' with Tupac. Known for his smooth, emotive vocals and heartfelt storytelling, Jon's authentic and vulnerable style has solidified his place as a standout in the R&B genre for over two decades. Now with 30 years under his belt, he's reflecting on his well-earned spot in 90s-nostalgic hearts, and his intro to a new audience. The day-one listeners who slow-danced to 'They Don't Know' are now joined by Gen Z fans discovering his catalog through TikTok and streaming playlists. 'It feels amazing,' he told BOSSIP. 'I'm doing what I love to do, which is make music, perform music for my extended family, my fans for 30 years. That's the reason why I'm still around, [they're] coming out to the shows, making sure my shows are sold out, making sure that the new music that I put out independently is appreciated. It's the gift that keeps giving.' The independently released Waiting on You arrived on March 21, 2025, marking Jon's eighth studio album (or tenth if you count his Christmas and B-sides albums). It features collaborations with Tank, Rick Ross, Donell Jones, and Alex Isley, showcasing a maturity and growth he's embraced over the years. 'I feel like I'm getting better with time, I haven't loosened up at all. I think I've tightened up.' Part of that 'tightening up' includes having full creative control: 'I really have always taken the creative lead to what I want to do. It's wonderful to not have anyone get in the way of anything… My wife coordinates with our efforts, and it's a team effort. Everything we do is very much hands-on—from the touring to the stylizing, to putting the records together in production and writing.' Source: Shannon Laurine The album's vibe is classic Jon B romance, a sound that still resonates today. 'The romanticism needs to come back, the romance is never going away. That's always going to be something that people can relate to and that they need more of in their life,' he says. Highlights from the album include a collaboration with Rick Ross. Jon recounts that it was stamped with that signature Maybach music drop, much to Jon's delight. Tank and Donell Jones, longtime friends and mutual fans, also make appearances, as well as sophisticated songbird Alex Isley, who beautifully belts out notes on the enchanting track, 'Show Me.' Alongside this new album, Jon B is continuing to tour. Travis Kelce reveals intimate details of Taylor Swift romance
Travis Kelce's relationship with Taylor Swift didn't just soar to new heights in 2023 — 'it kind of just took the f–k off.' That's according to the star Chiefs tight end, who peeled back the curtain on the couple's love story in the September 2025 issue of GQ that dropped Tuesday. 4 Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been dating since 2023. AP 4 Travis Kelce covers the September 2025 issue of GQ. Ryan McGinley for GQ 'Whenever I'm with her, it feels like we're just regular people,' Kelce said. 'When there is not a camera on us, we're just two people that are in love. It can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out, but I would say that it's as normal of…. It happened very organically even though from a media standpoint it was being tracked. It still happened very organically.' The three-time Super Bowl champion, 35, was first linked to Swift, also 35, in the summer of 2023, when he expressed interest in connecting with her at an Eras Tour stop in Kansas City by passing along a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. Swift, who had been touring throughout the U.S. that year, made her first Chiefs appearance in September 2023, and fans — not to mention the dads, Brads and Chads — have not been the same since. 4 Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stepped out publicly in 2023. Annie Wermiel for NY Post Kelce joined Swift on tour during the 2024 offseason, even making his Eras Tour debut in Europe, while the 14-time Grammy winner has attended various Chiefs games, including their Super Bowl 2025 defeat to the Eagles in February. Despite the heightened attention on their every move, at the end of the day, Kelce says he and Swift are simply 'two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are.' 'Nothing I've ever done has been a controlled, organized process,' he said. 'When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It just kind of took the f–k off.' Swift, who spent the offseason with Kelce as he prepares for his 13th season in the league, even made a pitstop on his 'New Heights' podcast to tease her upcoming 12th studio album, 'The Life of a Showgirl.'
