CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) has announced a new partnership with Wipro Limited. Wipro is a global technology services and consulting company. The collaboration aims to enhance security operations using CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM.
Wipro will integrate the Falcon platform into its CyberShield offering. This upgrade brings advanced AI-powered threat detection and response. It also simplifies workflows and reduces security costs.
The use of CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM allows faster time to value. It also lowers total cost of ownership (TCO). With native access to CrowdStrike data, Wipro offers improved cybersecurity outcomes.
According to Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, Wipro's decision highlights the platform's edge over legacy and modern alternatives. Together, they aim to scale threat detection and response across enterprises.
The partnership also helps address the global cybersecurity skills gap. Many SIEM systems are outdated, slow, and expensive. Falcon's AI, automation, and index-free design solve these challenges.
Tony Buffomante, Senior Vice President at Wipro, says moving to CrowdStrike's SIEM accelerates the shift to modern, AI-based security operations.
The updated platform provides several benefits:
It offers real-time threat detection using GenAI. It improves analyst productivity through automation. It cuts costs by eliminating expensive data ingestion. And it ensures 24/7 monitoring through Wipro's global Cyber Defense Centers.
This collaboration brings global enterprises scalable, AI-driven cybersecurity. With both technology and services aligned, the solution helps secure digital operations more effectively.

Life-like robots for sale in new Beijing shop
A new robot shop, Robot Mall, has recently opened in Beijing selling everything from mechanical butlers to replicas of famous individuals like Albert Einstein. More than 100 types of products will be on sale at Robot Mall, which launched in the Chinese capital on Friday. The store is one of the first in the country to sell humanoid and consumer-oriented robots. The outlet has been compared to a car dealership as it offers services including sales, spare parts and maintenance. China has invested heavily in the robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) as it looks to overcome challenges such as slowing economic growth and an ageing population. 'If robots are to enter thousands of households, relying solely on robotics companies is not enough,' Wang Yifan, a Store Director, told Reuters. The robots on sale range in price from 2,000 yuan ($278, £207) to several million yuan. Visitors will be able to interact with a wide range of robots, including dogs and chess players, organisers said. There is also a separate section offering replacement parts and robot maintenance services. Robot Mall is located next to a themed restaurant, where diners are served by robots and the food is cooked by mechanical chefs. China has increasingly prioritised the robotics industry, with subsidies topping $20bn over the past year. The Chinese government is also planning a 1 trillion yuan fund for AI and robotics start ups. The opening of Robot Mall coincides with the start of the five-day World Robot Conference. Chinese state media said this year's event will see more than 1,500 exhibits from over 200 local and overseas robotic companies. Beijing is also preparing to host the inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games from 14 to 17 August. Teams from more than 20 countries will compete in events including track and field, dance and football. Source: BBC News Image Credit: Stock Image

OpenAI advances AI development with the launch of GPT-5
OpenAI has deployed the next generation of ChatGPT, claiming the new model as its smartest and fastest yet as it takes the fight to rivals including Meta Platforms and Google. In a statement, OpenAI confirmed GPT-5 will be available to 700 million users which are using ChatGPT weekly, as powerful AI becomes 'more deeply interwoven into the way we live and work'. ChatGPT Team customers can access GPT-5 from 8th August, while those using its Enterprise and Education offerings will be able to use it next week. The model is also available in the OpenAI API. The company said its latest model exceeds its own prior breakthroughs in frontier intelligence, across reasoning features, agents and advanced capabilities. It arrives as organisations including SoftBank Corp and T-Mobile have begun to arm their workforces with AI, with 5 million paid users utilising its ChatGPT business products, explained OpenAI. The race to AGI Speaking during a press briefing, Sam Altman said using GPT-5 felt for the first time like one of its mainline models 'has felt like you can ask a legitimate expert, a PhD level expert, anything'. However, while stating the model was a significant step forward towards artificial general intelligence (AGI) Altman admitted GPT-5 was still missing key requirements required for a system to be able to do human jobs. 'It is missing something quite important, many things quite important,' highlighting the system is unable to continuously learn. At the end of July, Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg outlined his plan to use the company's AI resources to create personal superintelligence to help humanity accelerate its progress, while rival Google on Tuesday unleashed a 'world model', representing its latest push towards AGI. OpenAI is also facing competition from the likes of Elon Musk's X with its Grok model and Apple this week has put out strong messages around ramping its AI offering. BeyondTrust Expands Identity Security Insights Solution
BeyondTrust has announced the expansion of its Identity Security Insights solution to include Secrets Insights, a new capability designed to illuminate and secure the hidden attack surfaces created by secrets and non-human identities. As Agentic AI systems begin to autonomously interact with infrastructure, make decisions, and even provision access themselves, the hidden risks posed by unmanaged secrets and non-human identities become exponentially more dangerous. This launch comes on the completion of the initial class of Identity Security Risk Assessment engagements conducted across a wide range of industries and company sizes. The results are eye-opening: Dormant service accounts with privilege were found in over 70% of environments Overly permissive Entra Service Principals create direct pathways to Global Admin privileges, exposing entire Microsoft 365 environments to potential takeover Credentials reused across multiple service accounts by human admins, enabling a single compromised password to compromise numerous non-human accounts Low-privileged users can escalate to administrative access across Active Directory, Entra, AWS, Okta, and GitHub through hidden privilege escalation paths built on configuration oversights, federation, synchronization AD Service accounts bridge on-premises and cloud environments with Active Directory accounts holding privileged Entra roles, creating cross-platform attack vectors Ineffective GitHub repository access management, leading to uncontrolled secret access and unauthorized access to sensitive code, often accessible through personal Github accounts 'These identity infrastructure issues aren't just misconfigurations, they're invitations,' said Marc Maiffret, CTO at BeyondTrust. 'Our Identity Security Risk Assessment data shows that many organizations lack the complete story when it comes to their identity attack surface. For many, overlooked hygiene issues silently open the door to attackers. And with the rise of Agentic AI, the stakes have never been higher, especially as most organizations lack visibility into how compromised accounts can be leveraged to seize control of application secrets, which often carry elevated privileges.' The new Secrets Insights capability builds on the success of BeyondTrust's Identity Security Insights platform, which already provides deep visibility into Active Directory, Entra ID, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Okta, and Ping Identity, and GitHub. Now, organizations can extend that same level of insight to secrets, such as API keys, service account credentials, tokens, and more, across hybrid and multi-cloud environments and their vaults. Key Benefits of Secrets visibility: Discovery of unmanaged secrets across cloud and on-prem environments Discovery of users with direct and indirect access to secrets Risk scoring and prioritization based on exposure and privilege level Integration with BeyondTrust Password Safe for automated remediation 'As organizations embrace automation and Agentic AI, securing the invisible layers of access — secrets, tokens, and service identities — will define the next frontier of identity security', said Maiffret. Secrets Insights will be available later this year. BeyondTrust continues to offer complimentary Identity Security Risk Assessments, often completed in less than 48 hours, to qualified organizations, helping them uncover hidden privilege and secrets risks and chart a path toward Zero Standing Privilege (ZSP) and Just-in-Time (JIT) access.
