This NI restaurant has a wine you can't get anywhere else… why? Because they had a hand in making it

'Creating our own wine was kind of a crazy thing to do when you sit back and think about it,' admits Umi's Sean Lafferty
If you take a quick scan down most restaurant wine lists, there'll often be a familiar name or two among the suggestions. But there's one restaurant where the most interesting bottle on offer is a wine practically no one will recognise. That's because this restaurant is the only place where you can get it. And I really do mean the only place.
The restaurant in question is called Umi, a bustling bistro about five minutes' walk from Derry's Guildhall that serves cutting-edge sushi and Asian-inspired small plates. The imaginative menu is obviously the main attraction for customers that pack out the place most nights, but there's also that wine. It's called Rainbow Pie, and what makes it so special — apart from the fact that you can't get it anywhere else — is that the people behind Umi actually had a hand in making it.

Love Is Blind UK: Where Are Kal And Sarover Now?

As we get into the heart of season two of Love Is Blind UK, hearts have been broken and couplings have been made, resulting in five engagements. Military pair Ashleigh Berry and Billy Jervis Jr, Kieran Holmes-Darby and Megan Jupp, Bardha Krasniqi and Jed Chouman, Katisha Atkinson and Javen Palmer and Kal Pasha and Sarover Aujla are the engaged couples who will see if their emotional connection can last beyond the Pods and up the aisle. With their shared passion for fitness, Asian heritage and similar upbringings, Kal and Sarover seem very compatible on paper so viewers were hoping that sparks would fly between them in real life. Here's where they are right now… Sarover Aujla on Love Is Blind ©Netflix They are still together, as of the second batch of episodes dropped. As with all with the other couples, there are no spoilers on social media and the pair don't follow or engage with one another, leaving us waiting with bated breath to see if they make it to husband and wife status. Sarover's Instagram post seems to be a hint. 'Just remember, the girl standing before you there had to overcome generational, cultural, family and personal expectations to lead solely with an open heart and mind and she is beyond proud of herself,' she wrote. Does that mean they don't end up together – or do they? Gym owner Kal and medical company owner Sarover hit it off from their first pod date and they were each other's number one connections from the beginning. He's attracted to her 'lovely little posh accent', which he can't get enough, and told her he came to the experiment with the sole intention of finding a wife, which made her happy. The pair quickly became comfortable with each other and soon opened up about marriage, her anxiety struggles and family in emotional chats. They also discussed potential culture clashes: she is of Indian descent while he is half-Pakistani. The neighbouring countries, once one nation, have a history of conflict. 'I've met Indian girls before who haven't been able to date Pakistani guys, and vice versa,' he said. Kal and Sarover spoke about the potential complication and agree that it isn't a dealbreaker for them or probably for their families. Kal Pasha on Love Is Blind ©Netflix With everything going swimmingly well, it came as little surprise that they got engaged in the second episode. 'I know she's the one because of the excitement I feel before I'm getting to speak to her,' he said in the confessional before going down on bended knee. For the occasion, Kal wore a sherwani, a traditional South Asian wedding attire – another sign that his partnership with Sarover was 'meant to be'. 'Will you join me on this insanely crazy, beautiful rollercoaster we call life and marry me?' he asked. '100 percent, no doubt, I'm so ready for our next chapter together,' she replied. However, despite their clear attraction to one another, cracks started to show in the union when they went to Cyprus for their post-pod retreat. Sarover – who has only dated Indian men – started to feel insecure because Kal previously dated white and blonde women. When they met and mingled with the other engaged couples, he revealed that Bardha is usually the type of woman he would usually have gone for before. After confiding in Ashleigh, Sarover decided to bring this up with Kal. He reassured her that his 'type' was driven by his Wigan upbringing, before telling her that his love for her has only gotten stronger. Kal and Sarover meet his family ©Netflix In the latest batch of episodes, Kal and Sarover meet each other's families. They first went to Wigan to meet Kal's mum and grandmother, who are thrilled with his choice of partner. However, Kal's brother Junaid was sceptical about how fast the relationship had moved and questioned if his sibling is ready to put someone else first in his life. The biggest hurdle came when they met Sarover's family, who are fiercely protective of her and aren't sure about the concept of the show, but eventually the couple win over sister Sharan and mum Bali, who gives them her blessing. As they prepare for their wedding, time will tell if they choose to deepen their relationship with marriage or walk away.
