The conclusion to the TikTok debacle is at hand, with President Donald Trump having recently claimed that he has some 'very wealthy people' ready to buy TikTok . With that said, the solution seems to be a separate new app for American users, before the platform's sale of its U.S. operations to a non-Chinese entity.According to a report ), the States will get a different TikTok app on September 5. The current app will continue to work until March of next year, but new users will have to download the second app to access TikTok in the United States. Once the current app is taken offline, the U.S. will have a completely separate portal to TikTok compared to the rest of the world.TikTok has often been labeled a threat to national security, as well as a platform for Chinese propaganda. As such, it was ruled that the app would have to sell its American operations to a non-Chinese entity or face a ban from the country. President Trump has extended this deadline three times, and now seems convinced that a deal is nigh.A separate app will get around a lot of the concerns that the U.S. administration has, though it's a pretty ironic end to the whole ordeal. This time, the U.S. will have a separate app for a global platform, something that people have often criticized China for, which pushes local alternatives to popular international apps.If I had to guess, the new app will barely be any different. Though, there might be a surge in content that aligns with the politics of the current administration. For the average user, I doubt anything will change beyond having to download a new app.Of course, this is all considering that this group of 'very wealthy people' actually does purchase the platform's American operations. Such claims have been made before, but have gone nowhere. If TikTok really is making a separate app, however, then it seems like this might finally be the real deal.Which means that, much to the dismay of Instagram, TikTok will continue to operate Stateside.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE comes with a massive disadvantage in the US

Earlier today, Samsung made the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 official, and along with them, the company also launched the oft-rumored Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, a cheaper flip-style foldable that is in effect a Flip6 with a few changes. That's all well and good, and the Flip7 FE is the cheapest of Samsung's new trio of foldables, but in the US, you can't buy one from any carrier, whereas of course you can if you're looking for a Fold7 or Flip7. It's unclear why this is, but no US carrier is offering the Flip7 FE, nor are any third-party retailers offering it with carrier plans. You can of course buy one unlocked from Samsung itself or Amazon or Best Buy, and then use it on your carrier of choice. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE 5G But since most Americans buy their phones straight from their carrier, this is a pretty big missed sales opportunity for Samsung's most affordable foldable to date. If you want to learn more about the Fold7 and Flip7, don't miss our hands-on. Via

NVIDIA's record valuation confirms AI is in replacing Apple and wireless

But unless you've been Rip Van Winkling your way through the last few years, you know that mobile/wireless is no longer the hottest thing in the tech universe. That's not to say that wireless isn't still important. But for the last couple of years, the public and tech experts have become infatuated with Artificial Intelligence. And that change in leadership was finally acknowledged by Wall Street today when NVIDIA became the first U.S. publicly traded company to hit the $4 trillion mark in valuation. Microsoft, which has invested $13 billion into ChatGPT operator OpenAI, is valued at $3.74 billion. Apple is well behind with a valuation of $3.15 billion. NVIDIA hit the $4 trillion mark for a brief time on Wednesday before it pulled back to close at $162.88, giving the company a value of $3.97 trillion. Earlier in the day, the stock made a 52 week high at $164.42. NVIDIA overtakes Apple to become the most valuable U.S. publicly traded company. | Image credit-Google NVIDIA is known for designing Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) that quickly process image and video data. Because these chips use parallel processing and work on many computational tasks simultaneously, they are perfect for use as AI accelerators. NVIDIA's share of the AI accelerator market is believed to be in the range of 90%-92%. Supplying such a dominating percentage of an important component used to drive the hottest technology anywhere is a pretty good reason to explain why NVIDIA has replaced Apple as the most valuable U.S. publicly traded company in history. Of course, NVIDIA won't always stay in its current position. Sometime in the future, AI will be replaced by the next big thing. But for now, these are still the early days of AI, and Apple is no longer the must-own stock that has to be in the portfolio of every hedge fund. What this shows is that the wireless industry has matured and is slowing down. It is now AI's time in the spotlight. Secure your connection now at a bargain price! Apple Vision Pro update is coming, here's when and what will change

Apple is reportedly readying a slight update to its Vision Pro headset, and this will become available "as early as this year". While it won't be a major upgrade, it will sport a new chipset, the M4, which will be quite an improvement from the M2 powering the original Vision Pro. It will also get more cores for its Neural Engine. The new headset will ship with a new strap that will make wearing it for longer periods of time more bearable somehow, by reducing neck strain and head pain. This should improve things without actually making the hardware any lighter. That will only come in 2027 with a redesigned Vision Pro, which should be significantly lighter. Until then, the model coming this year is meant as a stopgap, keeping Apple relevant in the headset market despite its huge price and comfort issues (that may be alleviated somewhat in the upgraded model). So far Apple has only sold a few hundred thousand units of the Vision Pro, which is a tiny number for a device that was supposed to be the future of computing. It is, however, hard to be that when you're a literal strain on people's heads and necks, not to mention their wallets. Source
