Naked, masked man caught on camera walking street at night
The footage has been widely shared on social media.
It is thought to have been filmed in the seaside Lancashire town of Lytham.
The video shows the man wearing only the black mask and a pair of black‑and‑white trainers as he walks along a row of houses.
Lancashire Police said the incident took place around 12.50am on 18 July.
It happened in the area of Westby Street, Cleveland Road and Bannister Street.
'We are aware of a concerning video circulating on social media of a naked male wearing a face covering walking around Lytham in the early hours of the morning,' a police spokesman said.
'This incident was not initially reported to police and has only been brought to our attention after it has been viewed on Facebook.
'Fylde Rural Task Force are currently conducting CCTV and house‑to‑house inquiries and would like to reassure you that we are taking this matter seriously.'

Driver disqualified after automatic speed camera caught him at 58mph on motorway
A motorist has been disqualified after they were clocked at 58mph by an automatic camera on a motorway. Kevin Yems was driving on the eastbound M4 near Earley when he was clocked at 58mph on September 2 last year. The driver was travelling between junctions 10 and 12 at the time. High Wycombe Magistrates' Court heard how there was a 50mph temporary speed restriction in place at the time. He was disqualified from driving for six months at a hearing on July 16. Yems was also given three points on his licence. He must pay a £153 fine, as well as £120 court costs and a £60 surcharge. The court made a collection order with the outstanding funds set to be paid at a monthly rate of £28 starting from August 13.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton investigating Beto O'Rourke's PAC over alleged funding of Democrats' walkout
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Wednesday that he's launched an investigation into a political action committee founded by Beto O'Rourke, accusing the group of illegally financing out-of-state travel for Texas House Democrats who fled the state in an effort to block a redistricting vote. Powered by People is a political group focusing on organizing volunteers in Texas to register voters, mobilize Democratic-leaning voters, and support Democratic candidates, according to its website. In a news release, Paxton alleged that "public reports" indicate Powered by People is among the leading organizations financially supporting the Texas Democrats who fled the state. Paxton claimed this support may violate state bribery laws and also accused the group of potentially breaking other Texas laws, including those related to campaign finance, coercion of public officials, and abuse of office. Paxton has issued a "Request to Examine," which demands documents and communications from Powered by People. The House failed to meet quorum two days in a row after the Democratic lawmakers left the state to block a bill to redraw the state's congressional districts to add five seats favoring Republicans. Dustin Burrows, the Speaker of the Texas House, gave Democrats until Friday to return to Texas and present themselves at the state Capitol in Austin. Paxton shared a stern warning aimed at the House Democrats if they don't return by Friday: "The people of Texas elected lawmakers, not jet-setting runaways looking for headlines. If you don't show up to work, you get fired." Paxton also said he plans to seek a court ruling to declare the Texas House Democrats' seats vacant on the basis that their continued absence and "refusal to perform legislative duties" is an abandonment of office.

Man arrested after police told someone was 'acting suspiciously' outside school
A man has been arrested after police were called to reports that someone had been 'acting suspiciously' outside a school. Greater Manchester Police responded to reports of suspicious behaviour by a man outside Edgar Wood Academy in Middleton. The school, which is located off Heywood Old Road, has been closed for the summer holidays for two weeks and reopens in September. Police were spotted by the school's gates which were cordoned off this afternoon (August 6) with a blue tent set up at the scene. He remains in custody. "Officers quickly responded and a man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody for questioning. "No-one was injured.
