Report: Cowboys G Rob Jones (neck) out 2-3 months
Jones, a candidate for the starting spot at left guard, was hurt late in Sunday's session at training camp in Oxnard, Calif. An MRI and other testing revealed the injury, which will not require surgery, per the report.
Jones, 26, signed a one-year deal for $3.7 million in March.
He started all 17 games at left guard for Miami last season, bringing his career totals with the Dolphins to 49 games and 30 starts since arriving as an undrafted free agent in 2021.
Rookie first-round draft pick Tyler Booker has taken most of the snaps with the first team at left guard so far during training camp.

New Zealand captain Tom Latham will miss the opening test against Zimbabwe with a shoulder injury and Mitch Santner will step in to lead the side, New Zealand Cricket said on the eve of the match beginning in Bulawayo on Wednesday. "Mitch did a wonderful job with the T20 squad in this recent series," Walter said. "He was excellent from a strategy point of view and he has a strong understanding of the game. "Whilst the format is different, he certainly has the respect of the players and will be supported by some highly experienced test cricketers, so I trust that he's going to do a great job."

The latest footballer to make the move to Portugal is Matin Ilhan, who has signed for Leixoes Sport Club for the upcoming 2025 – 2026 season. The 22-year-old winger officially signed his professional football contract with Leixoes on Jun 3 and has set his sights on representing the Singapore U22 national team at the year-end Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand. 'I am thankful for all the support I have received from my family, coaches, and teammates, and I hope I can continue improving to live up to their expectations. It is every footballer's dream to have an opportunity to play in Europe, and I am grateful for this opportunity to grow and become a better player in Portugal,' expressed Matin, whose passion for football began with futsal at age five. He later represented Saint Gabriel's in the U15 COE and B Division, finishing as the league's third-highest scorer before COVID cut the season short. The pandemic did not stop Martin from continuing his love for football and development on the field, as he later joined Euro Soccer Academy prior to his stint at Tanjong Pagar and the Sailors. NEW YORK :Hurdles queen Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone wants to carve out new territory in the 400 metres flat as the U.S. track and field trials kick off this week in Eugene, Oregon, with a ticket to the World Athletics Championships on the line. She broke the 400m hurdles world record for an astonishing sixth time for her second straight Olympic title in Paris last year and hopes to bring home world gold in the flat event at the global showcase in Tokyo in September.
