
"Ajman Chamber's Ramadan Forum" unites ambassadors, consuls, and government officials
The ceremony was attended in the courtyard of the Ajman Museum by H.E. Abdullah Saeed Al Nuaimi, H.E. Maher Tarish Al Alili, H.E. Mahmoud Othman Abu Al Shawareb (members of the Board of Ajman Chamber), Mohamed Ali Al Janahi (Acting Director-General of the Ajman Chamber), and a group of ambassadors, consuls, directors, officials of government agencies and private sector institutions from the Ajman Chamber's partners.
At the beginning of the forum, Al Janahi welcomed the attendees and emphasized that the current edition of Ajman Chamber's Ramadan Forum, in its new format, provides a platform to strengthen cooperation and international relations with the presence of ambassadors, consuls, directors-general, and officials from various entities.
Al Janahi stressed that Ajman Chamber prioritizes partnership, cooperation, and integration as key objectives to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals in Ajman. He noted that the year 2024 was exceptional, during which Ajman Chamber signed 20 agreements and memoranda of understanding with federal, local, and private entities, obtained three ISO certifications, reached a membership of over 40,000, and issued more than 44,700 certificates of origin.
He stated, "The prosperity and continuous development that Ajman is witnessing under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, necessitates that we all intensify our efforts, enhance cooperation and institutional cohesion, and work in a spirit of unity to achieve the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030."
Al Janahi further affirmed that Ajman Chamber continuously strives to expand its partnerships its partnerships and cooperation with all entities to achieve its mission of "strengthening the business community in the emirate and fostering an environment conducive to economic activities, ultimately attaining maximal prosperity and sustainable economic diversification," as well as actively contributing to enhancing the business environment, competitiveness, and facilitating business practices in the emirate, and improving the quality of life.
The forum's activities included a "video presentation showcasing the Ajman Chamber's 2024 achievements and projects," its distinguished partnerships, and the major exhibitions and events conducted throughout the year. It also highlighted various local, regional, and international participations and Ajman Chamber's efforts in educating and training its private sector members through 12 specialized courses and sessions, including the series of workshops on Emiratization in the private sector. Additionally, numerous community initiatives and events were organized, and the efforts and achievements of the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) in empowering and supporting women, as well as the accomplishments of the Ajman Chamber Youth Council, were showcased.
During the forum, Al Nuaimi honored the strategic partners of the Ajman Chamber from local and federal government entities and private sector establishments.
The forum's activities also included a series of friendly Ramadan discussions between ambassadors, consuls, and officials from Ajman Chamber and government agencies in Ajman, aimed at strengthening international cooperation, developing a global economic relations network, and promoting investment opportunities in Ajman across various sectors, including "industry, tourism, education, health, real estate, construction, energy, trade, and other sectors." These discussions also focused on exploring opportunities to diversify foreign markets for the Emirate's products and increase bilateral trade between Ajman and countries worldwide.

New Working Group to drive investment in Ajman
Strategic oversight and leadership Under the resolution, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Executive Council, is tasked with overseeing the Group's activities. He is empowered to issue the necessary regulatory frameworks and appoint a chairman from among the Group's members, ensuring a clear governance structure and effective leadership from within. Broad investment mandate across key sectors The Group, comprising representatives from key investment-related entities, is charged with identifying high-potential global markets and mapping out prime investment opportunities in vital sectors. These include manufacturing, infrastructure, education, the digital economy, and tourism. The overarching goal is to align these efforts with Ajman's economic development priorities and attract impactful investments. Promoting Ajman globally through tailored initiatives As part of its responsibilities, the Group will develop a suite of legislative and procedural incentives tailored to investor needs. In addition, it will organise programs that engage both economic and official delegations, craft a cutting-edge digital marketing strategy to highlight Ajman's competitive advantages, and ensure consistent participation in key global economic events to enhance the emirate's international profile. Building on momentum from strategic partnerships The resolution follows a productive visit by Ajman's government delegation to Chongqing, China, in May, led by H.H. the Crown Prince. The visit marked a turning point in strengthening Ajman's global ties and opened new pathways for cooperation with international partners. The outcomes from that mission are now being formalised and integrated into the Group's strategy to attract and promote investment in the emirate. Alignment with Ajman Vision 2030 The resolution is directly linked to the broader aspirations of Ajman Vision 2030, with the Group's performance measured against clear benchmarks. These include increases in total investment inflow, the number of international companies establishing operations in Ajman, growth in GDP attributed to new investments, and greater investor trust in the emirate's economic landscape. Organisational structure and mandate The Group has been granted a renewable two-year mandate. Its work will be supported institutionally and administratively by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, in coordination with relevant local and federal authorities. This ensures full alignment with both Ajman's and the UAE's overarching economic policies. Enhancing Ajman's investment climate This initiative embodies the Ajman government's integrated vision to enhance its investment climate. Ajman Air Quality Index rises to 96.19% percent in H1
25 July 2025 14:38 AJMAN (WAM)The Department of Municipality and Planning – Ajman has announced that the emirate's Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 96.19 percent during the first half of 2025, according to a report issued by the Department on environmental statistics. The achievement aligns with the Ajman Vision 2030 objectives to promote environmental this context, Dr. Eng. Khalid Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector at the Department, confirmed that the index has witnessed a significant increase compared to previous years, having recorded 94.40 percent in the first half of 2024 and 93.48 percent during the same period in 2023. This, he said, confirms the effectiveness of the Department's environmental initiatives and the success of its plans to reduce air pollution and promote Eng. Al Hosani noted that the progress is the result of continuous efforts and integrated planning, including the launch of several environmental projects and initiatives, most notably the Environmental Compliance Programme. This initiative aims to enhance control over industrial facilities by requiring the submission of semi-annual reports assessing air pollution levels, thereby enhancing environmental compliance and enabling corrective actions where stated that the network of the seven accredited air quality measurement stations has been established in accordance with international standards and within the classification of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, indicating that the Department seeks to increase the number of stations to 10 in the coming years to keep pace with urban growth in the Eng. Al Hosani stated that all monitoring stations are connected to the Environmental Data Management Programme, a leading system locally and regionally, which enables the receipt of notifications, preparation of environmental reports and continuous air quality monitoring. The stations are equipped with advanced measuring devices to monitor key environmental variables such as wind speed and direction, relative humidity and primary gases. He further emphasised that environmental efforts are ongoing, with the Department continuing to adopt best local and international environmental practices. These initiatives contribute to enhancing the attractiveness of the Emirate of Ajman as a healthy and safe living environment, while supporting the UAE's broader objective of achieving carbon neutrality.
