Coote was sacked by the Premier League in December 2024, after the PGMOL intially suspended him.
He has now been further punished by the FA for an "aggravated breach" of rule E3.2 due to referencing Klopp's nationality in the video.
Coote admitted the charge and the FA said the ex-ref expressed "deep remorse" and acknowledged his comments were "crass and inappropriate".
Coote also said that his words did not reflect his true view of Klopp, who he had a "deep professional respect"
He also apologised to the former Liverpool boss personally and to The FA, PGMOL and the wider football community.
The clip, which was filmed around July 2020, was leaked online in November 2024.
In the viral video, he referred to Liverpool as "s***" and extraordinarily dropped the C-bomb to describe ex-Reds boss Klopp.
Coote said: "Liverpool were s*** . Klopp is an absolute c***.
"Aside from having a right pop at me when I was refereeing them against Burnley in lockdown, he accused me of lying and then had a right f***ing pop of me.
"I have no interest in speaking to someone who is f***ing arrogant. So I do my best not to speak to him. James Milner is all right, I get on with him.
"You can see me there with a 'mask' on. But, my god, German c***, f*** me."

Transfer news live: Isak forcing Liverpool move, Donnarumma's agent rages over Man Utd deal, Chelsea agree Garnacho terms

Just a few days to go until the start of the new Premier League season and club's are looking to finalise any deals for new signings ahead of their campaigns beginning. Liverpool are still pursuing Alexander Isak having sold Darwin Nunez to Al Hilal for £46.3m, which should open up funds for a bid but Newcastle have, so far, been resolute in their desire to keep the Swedish striker. The Magpies do not wish to sell, but the Reds may be encouraged by Isak's insistence that his Newcastle career is over, with it reported that he will not wish to reintegrate with the side, even if he stays beyond the deadline. Should he force Newcastle's hand over a sale, Liverpool will be the key beneficiaries. Manchester United, meanhwhile, have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Gianluigi Donnarumma, with the Italian shot-stopper now looking certain to leave PSG off the back of a stellar 2024/25 campaign. He was entirely left out of their squad to face Tottenham in the Super Cup, with Luis Enrique opting for new signing Lucas Chevalier between the sticks, and his agent is furious at PSG's handling of the situation. It comes after United unveiled their new signing Benjamin Sesko to supporters at Old Trafford on Saturday, completing their front line overhaul this summer with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha set to feature in a new-look front three for Ruben Amorim. Spurs are also preparing to bolster their own forward line further by signing Crystal Palace 's Eberechi Eze. Palace want a fee in excess of £60m and an official offer could soon go in though Palace's Community Shield win over Liverpool may now make a deal harder to negotiate. Thomas Frank's side are in need of a creator following the long-term injury to James Maddison and are also in talks for Manchester City 's Savinho. Donnarumma's agent fumes with PSG over Man Utd deal Gianluigi Donnarumma's agent, Enzo Raiola, has hit out at Paris Saint-Germain over their handling of his future. The goalkeeper is determined to leave PSG this summer, with Manchester United pushing hard to sign the Italian who lifted the Champions League last season. He was entirely left out of their squad to face Tottenham in the Super Cup tonight, with Luis Enrique opting for new signing Lucas Chevalier instead. Raiola told Sky Sports: 'We are shocked by PSG. There's zero respect by the club after 4 years together. We will consider the situation also with our legal team 'We will consider solutions now, maybe in Premier League there will be clubs able to pay what's needed. Paris Saint-Germain are asking for big money. They talk about respect, but it's only about the money.' Lawrence Ostlere13 August 2025 07:21

Tottenham star James Maddison posts heartbreaking statement after 'lowest low I've ever had'

James Maddison sustained an ACL injury during a pre-season game between Tottenham and Newcastle and will miss the bulk of the new season after undergoing surgery Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has admitted to being left "heartbroken" after suffering an ACL injury on the eve of the new season. After undergoing surgery, he will miss most if not all of Spurs' Premier League and Champions League campaigns, and faces a battle to get back up to top speed in time for the 2026 World Cup. ‌ Maddison sustained the injury during a pre-season match against Newcastle, and was in visible pain while lying on the turf. He shared a photo on Instagram alongside his three children, opening up on the mental anguish that has followed. ‌ "Lowest low I've ever had," Maddison wrote. "Heartbroken at the fact this injury has occurred at this time in my career. With the Super Cup tomorrow, the Premier League season on the horizon, the exciting Champions League campaign & it being a World Cup year for England it all feels very very cruel but nevertheless the ACL reconstruction surgery was successful. ‌ "To all my close friends and family, your support and love means absolutely everything to me. To those of you who have gone out of your way to message on social media platforms in support of me and my recovery even when we don't know each other personally, I appreciate you all more than you'll ever know so thank you. "And lastly to those of you who doubt, hate & mock. You truly motivate me to levels I didn't know I had inside of me so again, thank you. See you all on the other side." Spurs' new manager Thomas Frank will lead the team out in the Premier League for the first time on Saturday, with Burnley visiting North London. Before then, though, there is the small matter of the Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain. Frank's predecessor Ange Postecoglou got them into the game through last season's Europa League triumph. The new boss has strengthened since then, with Mohammed Kudus among the summer arrivals, but Maddison's injury has prompted talk of a move for Crystal Palace star Ebere Eze. Arsenal have also been linked with Eze, who is likely to cost any club north of £60million if he's to move this summer. Frank was asked about the England international in his press conference ahead of the Super Cup but didn't give much away. "There are a lot of good players out there, there are also a few from the PSG team but I don't think we can buy them right now," the former Brentford boss told reporters. "In general, players in and players out, I'm only speaking if something is done or not done. I speak only about my own players." Micah Richards rules one team OUT of the title race before season even begins

Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards is fearing the worst for his former side Manchester City, believing Rodri's absence could leave them too short in the race for the Premier League title Micah Richards reckons Manchester City are out of the title race because Rodri is out until October. ‌ The Ballon D'Or winner missed most of last season after rupturing his ACL last September. And the Spaniard suffered a groin injury at the FIFA Club World Cup which will rule him out until the international break next month - and perhaps even longer. ‌ Manchester City have spent heavily in January and again in the summer after failing to win a trophy. But former City defender Richards reckons Rodri - who was signed for £62m in 2019 - is still the key to the team. ‌ 'If Rodri would have been fit, I think they could have gone to the wire, but it doesn't look like he's going to be fit until maybe October,' said the Sky Sports analyst. 'I think that changes the narrative with them, just because he's pivotal in what they do in terms of stopping counter-attacks. 'But Tijjani Reijnders from Milan is a really good player, he can play in Number 6, he can play in Number 8 as well, he's scored a couple of goals in pre-season. "So I'd look at that area of the pitch, the boy Nico Gonzalez last season, it's not really happened for him in that Number 6 role, he's more of a Number 8. 'Rayan Cherki as well, he's a player who can impact the game, can play at number 10, can play the right, can play the left, wonderful left foot, he's both foot, he takes corners with his right foot and his left foot, "Liverpool will be there, I think they will be my favourites this year. I think Chelsea look strong after watching the Club World Cup. And we've been talking about Arsenal for a while now in terms of needing a striker, I still think they're a little bit short on the left-hand side. I think Martinelli's an impact player rather than a starter.' ‌ Fellow Sky pundit Jamie Carragher is also predicting a competitive race for the title, warning Liverpool won't cruise to the if they sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle. He said: 'I think they are still likely to get Isak but I don't get this narrative that Liverpool are going to run away with it. 'I think we will have a title race. If you look at history, it tells you that it's not just about having the best players, it's about having the best team, and making that balance right, and at the weekend (the Community Shiedl) it didn't quite look right."
