Grant Scott named PFA Scotland SWPL Manager of the Year
Hibernian Women Head Coach Grant Scott has been named the PFA Scotland SWPL Manager of the Year.
Scott has led Hibernian Women to the top of the ScottishPower Women's Premier League with three matches remaining.
His side went on an incredible 16-game unbeaten streak across the turn of the year, with unforgettable victories over Celtic, Glasgow City and Rangers amongst the many wins achieved.
Hibs Women also reached their first domestic cup final since 2022 under Scott's guidance after going on a memorable Sky Sports Cup run.
Scott collected the award at the PFA Awards night in Glasgow on Sunday 4 May, 2025 – just hours after leading his side to a historic Edinburgh Derby victory over city rivals Hearts.

One former Gers academy graduate has played in two different countries outside of Scotland since his departure two years ago Former Rangers youth prospect Robbie Ure achieved the dream of every Ibrox supporter by scoring within nine minutes of his debut for his boyhood club. But the striker knew deep down that he would have to seek his fortune elsewhere in order to forge a real career for himself. After rising through the youth, Ure went onto feature three times for Gers at first team level after being handed a debut by Gio van Bronckhorst in a League Cup clash against Queen of the South in August 2022, marking the occasion with a debut goal with less than 10 minutes on the clock. However, less than a year later, the now 21-year-old turned down a contract extension in Govan in order to pursue opportunities on the continent. In September 2023, Belgian giants Anderlecht came calling, where the former Scotland international became a teammate of current Celtic stopper Kasper Schmeichel. And while Ure would go onto make just one first team outing for the Brussels side, he has lavished praise on Schmeichel for giving him the confidence to really go out there and show what he would do. Back in March, Ure landed a €750,000 (£632,800) transfer to Swedish top tier club Sirius and has made a fine start to life in Scanandavia, registering five goals and three assists in his first 12 appearances. And the Glasgow-born striker has revealed he has struck up a bit of a friendship with Denmark hero Schmeichel, who he congratulated on his move to Glasgow's East End 12 months ago. Asked in an interview with The Herald about the teammates who have had the biggest impact on his career so far, Ure replied: "I have to say Kasper Schmeichel. "He made me feel really, really comfortable when I was with the first team. He was such a nice person, so easy to talk to. He would speak to you about everything. "He was really good with me, and he would also tell me to keep going and that you've got a real chance here. Just work hard every day and you can see what can happen. "Kasper was someone that really made me feel comfortable when I was with the group and someone that I really appreciate. "I sent him a message when he went to Celtic, but I don't want to say what I said! But he just always says, it is what it is! "But I really appreciated his time. He's such a really good guy and he's got time for everyone. I really appreciate him." Ure has seen the likes of Scott McTominay, Lewis Ferguson and Max Johnston reach new heights after swapping Scotland for the continent in recent years and hopes he can follow a similar path that could maybe lead to a senior Scotland call-up. 'You look at some of the names that have done it and are doing really, really well", he added. "Max Johnston obviously in Austria has got himself into the Scotland A squad now. "The evidence is there that there's a lot of talent in Scotland and they can go abroad and really do well and become a better player. I would really recommend it. "My ambition is just to improve every day and if these things come then that's obviously great. I'm a young player and my full focus is on Sirius and trying to help them, and trying to make sure that I'm improving myself as a player, but also as a team, and scoring and assisting as much as possible. "It would be obviously great to catch the eye of Steve Clarke, but as I say, if that came it would be great."

Injuries have hampered the 27-year-old's Brentford career since then however. Ajer has been playing out of position when he has been fit in recent times, with manager Thomas Frank using the six-foot-five Norway international as a right-back. Ståle Solbakken, manager of the Norway national team, has told Ajer he needs to leave Brentford and England if he wants to improve. He told NRK: "He can be a very good and stable centre-back, and he was today, but he has to change clubs. "He cannot play right-back in every third game if he is to be a proper, safe and good centre-back. Because he has all the prerequisites. 'I think Ajer would have been better suited to playing centre-back in another league. "He has had some tough injuries in England. He will never be a super right-back, at the same level he is as a centre-back. "At the age he is now, I think he is allowed to put his foot down. You can't be a 'cover' right-back at his age now." Ajer has played less than half of the minutes available to him this season with Brentford. Celtic 'reopen talks' to sign January transfer target
The Parkhead club were linked with a move for the 21-year-old in the January transfer window, although it ultimately never came to fruition. Now, Celtic have reopened talks with Sarpsborg over the wide man, although no formal offer has been made yet, according to Sky Sports. There is also said to be interest in Orjasaeter from clubs in Germany and the Netherlands. "I struggled to sleep," Orjasaeter previously said after his failed move to Parkhead. "I didn't know if I was going to be in Norway or not. I could have moved at any moment. I had to carry my passport with me everywhere. "When the window closed, I felt a sense of relief. I came to the conclusion that I was determined to stay in Sarpsborg and play here, because I didn't know if I was ready to leave yet. "Going abroad now is another level up. It had become more professional and everything. There were many thoughts going through my head during that period. "If I get a little more time in Sarpsborg, I think I'll mature and be ready for it eventually. "Of course, you will have a better life after your career if you have more money in your account, but you only live once. For me, it is just as important to have fun along the way. It is probably even more important "I have a lot of friends to keep me grounded. I think if I only had football, my head would explode! "I'm not much of a fan of football, but I love having it as a job. I couldn't have a better job than what I have. "But when I see that my friends are going on holiday or to ski at Easter, I get jealous. I'm not going to lie. "I hope that those clubs understand that not everyone can be the same. At the same time, I have my serious side too. And I think that kind of thing comes a little with age."
