Comedian Hardeep Singh Kohli in court accused of sex attacks on three women
Scots comedian and ex-Big Brother contestant Hardeep Singh Kohli appeared in court today on sexual related charges.
The 56-year-old allegedly attacked three women between April 2007 and December 2016.
Kohli is claimed to have indecently assaulted the first woman at BBC Studios in Glasgow's Pacific Quay.
The charge says Kohli, of the city's Kelvinside, groped her buttocks, seized her by the body and hugged her.
A second allegation towards the same woman says that Kohli made a sexual comment towards her at a Glasgow bar and restaurant.
The third charge claims that Kohli indecently assaulted the woman in the city's Raddison Blu Hotel.
He is stated to have stroked her on the back and touched her hair.
Kohli is charged with indecently assaulting a second woman at Cross Keys Hotel, Canonbie, Dumfries and Galloway.
It is alleged that Kohli seized her by the arm, lunged towards her and attempted to kiss her face.
A special defence of consent has been lodged for this charge.
Kohli is further accused of conducting himself in a disorderly manner and commit breach of the peace at the same time and place.
The charge says Kohli exposed and performed a sex act on himself.
The final charge alleges that Kohli sexually assaulted a third woman at Yes Bar in Glasgow city centre.
He is stated to have seized the woman on the body, hugged her, kissed her on the mouth and attempted to put his tongue in her mouth.
Kohli appeared in the dock today/yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he denied all six charges.
Urfan Dar, defending, told the hearing: 'The position is the defence is ready for trial.
'The length of the trial both parties consider four to five days as a suitable estimate.'
Mr Dar stated that advocate Sarah Livingstone will defend Kohli at trial.
Prosecutor Sean Docherty told the court that he will cite seven civilian witnesses and one police witness.

'Disclosure has been completed.'
A five-day trial was set for November by Sheriff John McCormick who continued Kohli's bail meantime.

Tragic EastEnders star still inspiring charity donations three years after death
Ashvin Luximon, best known as Asif Malik in EastEnders, sadly died three years ago at the age of just 38. The EastEnders actor who played troublemaking teen Asif Malik has been remembered with heartfelt tributes, more than three years after his sudden death aged just 38. Ashvin Luximon, who starred as Asi, best pal to Martin Fowler, in the BBC soap from 1999 to 2003, died from an aneurysm on July 23, 2022. His devastated family set up a memorial page in his name to raise cash for the NSPCC and men's mental health charity Andy's Man Club, reports the Mirror. And the page is still bringing in donations today, with the latest £25 given only weeks ago, on the anniversary of his passing. One message read: "Ash sweetheart life is unbearable without you and we miss you desperately," wrote the contributor. "Your big warm hugs and your loud voice are still with use. We love you forever darling." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. Ashvin first appeared in EastEnders as the cheeky schoolmate of Martin Fowler (James Alexandrou), with the pair often getting into scrapes around Albert Square, usually leaving Martin to face the wrath of mum Pauline (Wendy Richard). His character went on to date Nicky di Marco (Carly Hillman), nurse a crush on Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) and eventually leave Walford after passing his A-levels. Away from the Square, Ashvin also appeared in children's TV favourite Grange Hill and starred in a British Airways promo video. The soap star sadly died of an aneurysm on 23 July, 2022. Health website describes an aneurysm as: "a bulge or ballooning in the wall of a blood vessel. An aneurysm can break open. This is called a rupture. A ruptured aneurysm causes bleeding inside the body. It often leads to death." Paying tribute at the time, Ashvin's family said: "Ash's unexpected passing has hit us all hard, but we want to take the time to remember his larger than life spirit." Ashvin's family added: "He loved and was loved by so many. He sang a mean karaoke tune and had a voice loud enough to hear from space! He brought laughter and the best cuddles. Please use this space to share thoughts, photos and memories. Please be respectful. "As a family we would like to ask anyone who would have made a floral tribute to instead donate to our chosen charities, the NSPCC (Ash was the ultimate Uncle) and Andy's Man Club (a charity aimed at helping men talk)." Enfield-born Ashvin studied at Bowden's Theatre School and later Chase Community School before pursuing acting. In 2004, EastEnders fans learned his character had settled in Edinburgh and was preparing to get married. The tribute page has raised £1,573.12. His funeral service took place at Enfield Crematorium on the morning of 11 August, with the family encouraging attendees not to wear black. Instead, they requested that people wear colourful attire to celebrate the late actor's life "just as he would want us to". Following the service, mourners gathered at The Cavalier pub in Barnet, where they continued to celebrate his 38 years.

Oasis lookalikes puzzle Murrayfield fans at first Edinburgh gig
Fans were stumped as Liam and Noel doppelgangers were spotted loitering outside the venue ahead of the gig. Oasis has officially returned to Scotland after 16 years, as the Gallagher brothers took to the Murrayfield stage last night for the first time since 2009. The gig saw several iconic moments, including the pair blasting Edinburgh council for generalising about their fans, and Noel's influencer daughter sporting a Celtic FC tracksuit in the crowd. But one element of the gig that puzzled Oasis fans was a pair of geezers that had a scary resemblance to the famous brothers. Having dressed up as the rockers for the gig, the two men turned countless heads outside the venue. The Liam and Noel knock-offs, named Glen and Max, were promoting BAFTA award winning provocateur Alison Jackson's Fringe show, Faking Famous: You Can Be a Celebrity Too, where she invites audience members on stage and turns them into uncanny lookalikes of A-list celebs. In a teaser for her new show, the artist took her bootleg Gallagher brothers to the doors of Murrayfield, posting a staged comical video on her Instagram of the fake brothers being knocked back from the gig. The doppelgangers took pictures with fans and urged them to come and see the full show, which is running until August 25 at Assembly. In other news from last night's blow-out gig, Noel Gallagher's daughter Anais was spotted sporting Celtic FC colours. Anais Gallagher has been following the UK stretch of the sell-out Oasis reunion tour, having been spotted at the Wembley shows and even giving some backstage insight on her Instagram. The budding 25-year-old photographer is an Instagram and TikTok influencer, and she has been spotted at several gigs of the UK tour so far. Last night's Murrayfield performance was no different, and the influencer embraced Scots culture by sporting a Celtic FC zippy in an image she posted on her Instagram story during the gig. Throwing up a peace sign in her Adidas Celtic zip-up, the TikToker showed her support for the Glasgow-based team. Her father Noel has previously shared his devotion to Celtic, coming from an Irish Catholic background in Manchester. While he is a well-known Man City fan, the Celtic Star reports that Gallagher has often been spotted supporting the Hoops over the years. The star has also been spotted at Celtic park in the past, notably when Celtic drew 3-3 with Pep Guardiola's side in 2016. Now, Scots Oasis fans adore that the star's daughter is paying homage to her father's favourite Scottish football club. One fan who shared the image of Anais on X wrote: "Oasis star @NoelGallagher's daughter Anais representing the @CelticFC colours at Murrayfield last night. "Noel and Liam's mum Peggy is famously a massive Celtic fan, with both brothers regularly showing their support for the Hoops throughout the years." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
