'New Heights' Address Taylor Swift Podcast 'Glitch'

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. New Heights has spoken out following a "glitch" the podcast encountered during Taylor Swift's episode. The show—which is co-hosted by Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce—released its highly anticipated episode with the pop star on Wednesday but experienced technical difficulties on YouTube. Newsweek reached out to New Heights' YouTube channel for comment on Thursday via email outside regular working hours. Why It Matters Taylor Swift is the world's richest female musician, according to Forbes, with a net worth of $1.6 billion as of August 14. Her wildly popular Eras Tour, which ran from March 2023 to December 2024, was the highest-grossing concert tour in history. Last year, the Kelce brothers reportedly inked a $100 million podcast deal with Amazon-owned podcast streamer, Wondery. YouTube What To Know On Wednesday, Swift quite literally broke the internet when her New Heights interview was released. The podcast dropped at 7 p.m. ET, and at 8:48 p.m. ET, New Heights' official X account posted an update to viewers tuning in on YouTube: "We hit a glitch but will be back shortly!!!" In a follow-up message minutes later, they added: "Shoutout all the 92%ers and swifties for actually helping us break the internet." The nickname "92%ers" refers to an NFL play and New Heights' fan base. "Swifties," meanwhile, is the affectionate term given to fans of the Cruel Summer singer. Shoutout all the 92%ers and swifties for actually helping us break the internet — New Heights (@newheightshow) August 14, 2025 New Heights later said: "WE ARE BACK!!!!" and thanked YouTube for their support: "Shoutout to the amazing team at @YouTube for helping get this fixed!!!" they posted in a separate note. At the time of publication, over 8.2 million people watched the episode on YouTube. Prior to the podcast's full release, Swift's appearance generated a lot of buzz online. In a teaser clip posted to social media on Tuesday, the 14-time Grammy Award winner revealed her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. The news came just months after she bought back the rights to the master recordings of her first six albums: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation. "So I wanted to show you something," she said, before pulling the blurred album out of a mint green and orange briefcase. "This is my brand new album The Life of a Showgirl." As Jason Kelce screamed, Travis Kelce—who has been dating Swift since 2023—said, "TS 12!" meaning her 12th studio album. What People Are Saying In the comments underneath New Heights' posts on X, fans praised the quick fix. X user @morganameridius said: "Thank y'all for your hard work!!!" @blockxs wrote: "Thanks, YouTube heroes." @tayvisjunkie shared: "YES THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE." @30sec2tam added: "A BIG thank you!!!" @catedunlap chimed in: "thanks for the fix cause there was some great content in those last minutes that blacked out!" What Happens Next The Life of a Showgirl will be released on October 3. The Chiefs' preseason is currently underway. The team takes on the Seattle Seahawks on Friday at Lumen Field in Washington. Their first regular season game is scheduled for September 5.

Tory Lanez's Appeal To Add Alleged New Evidence In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Case Denied California Court of Appeals

Source: Getty Images / Tory Lanez / Megan Thee Stallion Welp, Tory Lanez just suffered another L in his effort to get out of jail. Canadian Yosemite Sam, aka Tory Lanez, attempts to overturn parts of his convictions and prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion have crashed and burned after the California Court of Appeals denied them. Everyone's new favorite legal journalist, Meghann Cuniff, reported that the California Court of Appeals rejected a significant portion of Lanez's appeal, seeking to add new evidence, on Tuesday, August 13. Lanez's legal team sought habeas petitions to add alleged new evidence, including his driver's failure to testify and a new statement from Kelsey Harris's security guard. Both were denied. We care about your data. See our privacy policy. While this is a massive blow to Lanez and his efforts to get out of jail, his main appeal will still move forward; he and his legal team will have to prove his case without that so-called new evidence. This is also the latest legal issue Lanez has faced. He was also ordered to pay Megan Thee Stallion's legal fees due to his unruly behavior, where he was disrespectful to lawyers questioning during a deposition. The reactions to these latest developments hit the timeline swiftly, with the Hotties taking the moment to laugh at the rapper/singer, real name Daystar Peterson, current plight. ' Patchy head Tory Lanez appeal DENIED (laughing emoji) that l0ser staying where he belongs…another win for Megan,' one post on X, formerly Twitter, read. Lanez's fans and his dad can't blame Roc Nation for this either. You can see more reactions to Tory Lanez taking another legal loss in the gallery below. Katy Perry And Justin Trudeau Relationship Update

Wake up, babe — there's new reports on the strangest celeb relationship of the year. At the end of last month, Bingo cards across North America were decimated by photos of Katy Perry — who, in case you forgot, is newly split from longtime partner Orlando Bloom — out to dinner with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Since then, there have been reports that Justin is "figuring out his life" (pretty relatable!) after being the literal Prime Minister of Canada (OK, maybe not)... While Orlando, cheeky devil that he is, showed his seeming approval towards a joke making light of the emergent and deeply weird situation. Now, Entertainment Tonight has new reports on the situation at hand — and it certainly seems like these crazy kids are giving it a go, albeit very casually. A source tells the publication about Katy and Justin, 'They're just having fun and getting to know each other. Justin is charismatic and has great energy, which is exactly what Katy wants and needs at the moment. For now, things are just casual.' Perhaps unsurprisingly, it does sound like things are less good when it comes to Katy and Orlando. The source also claims that the exes 'still aren't great' and that 'their relationship is a bit awkward and strained.' Makes sense, if true! We've reached out to Katy and Orlando's people for further comment — and if we hear anything back, you'll be the first to know.
