Uncapped Eyman named in Pakistan women's squad for Ireland T20Is
Regular skipper Fatima Sana will captain the side, which features the exciting inclusion of uncapped Eyman Fatima.
Eyman Fatima earned her selection following a stellar performance in the National Women's T20 Tournament, where she scored 287 runs in eight matches at an impressive strike rate of 155.14. The 22-year-old also represented Pakistan in the inaugural ICC Women's U19 World Cup in 2023.

The squad was selected from the 24 players who participated in the Women's Skills Camp. Following the conclusion of the camp on 24th July, the 15-member squad will undergo a pre-series training camp in Karachi before departing for Ireland to compete in the bilateral series.
The last T20I series between these two sides took place in 2022, when Ireland toured Pakistan and claimed a memorable 2-1 series victory.

Mueller signs with MLS Whitecaps
Bayern Munich and Germany forward Thomas Mueller has signed with Major League Soccer's Vancouver Whitecaps, the Canadian club announced on Wednesday. The 35-year-old has signed through the end of the 2025 MLS season with an option for 2026, Vancouver said. Mueller announced earlier this year that he would be departing from Bayern Munich – his home for 25 years. His tenure included 13 Bundesliga titles and two Champions League triumphs. He retired from international duty in 2024, having won the World Cup with Germany in finished his international career with 131 caps, scoring 45 goals. There had been brief speculation that he would land with Los Angeles FC, but the Whitecaps announcement came on the same day that LAFC were expected to confirm the signing of South Korean star Son Heung-min.

West Indies name squad for Pakistan ODIs
Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced the 15-member squad for the 50 over leg of the white ball home series against Pakistan, set to take place at the iconic Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad. The series will feature three CG United One-Day Internationals (ODIs) on August 8, 10 and 12. Hunting a fourth consecutive ODI series win at home, the squad has the nucleus of players who were successful during home series wins against England and Bangladesh to end 2024 as well as the tour of the United Kingdom earlier this year. The highly anticipated tour will be the final one of the "Full Ah Energy" home series and provides an opportunity for CWI to focus on building its ODI team ahead of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027. PCB unveils central contract for women
Sadia Iqbal, currently ranked at the top of ICC T20I bowling rankings, has been awarded a Category 'A' central contract as the Pakistan Cricket Board announces the Women's Central Contracts for the 2025-26 season. To encourage young and budding cricketers, the PCB has also introduced an 'E' category, designated as the Emerging category. Two players – Eyman Fatima (uncapped) and Shawaal Zulfiqar (three ODIs, seven T20Is) are part of the Emerging category. Both players are members of the Ireland-bound Pakistan women's squad, which is set to play three T20Is from 6 to 10 August in Dublin. Also, both players were part of the inaugural edition of the ICC Women's U19 World Cup held in South Africa in January 2023. A total of 20 players have been awarded contracts across five categories, with 10 players placed in Category D. The contracts, which run from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, see a substantial 50 per cent increase across all categories in player retainers. The contracts were finalised by the women's selection committee in consultation with head coach Muhammad Wasim. Over the next 12 months, the Pakistan women's team will feature in two ICC events – ICC Women's Cricket World Cup (September-October 2025) and the ICC Women's T20 World Cup (June 2026), in addition to playing bilateral series at home and the 20 contracted players, Aliya Riaz (Category B), Natalia Parvaiz (Category D), Sidra Nawaz (Category D), Waheeda Akhtar (Category D), Eyman Fatima and Shawaal Zulfiqar (both Category E) are new inclusions. In addition to Sadia Iqbal, Diana Baig (promoted from Category C to B) and Rameen Shamim (from Category D to C) have earned upgrades.
