Simone Ashley and Pauline Chalamet Film ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2'

Cosmopolitan5 days ago
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is currently filming in New York City, which means fans and paparazzi have been around for...pretty much every single shoot that takes place in public. And so far there are a lot—like, to the point where multiple looks of Anne Hathaways have already been leaked.
But on top of Anne (and Meryl Streep!) being spotted filming the highly anticipated sequel, The Devil Wears Prada newcomers Simone Ashley and Pauline Chalamet were just seen on set by fans.
Obsessed! And here's a closer look at Simone Ashley's dress, which appears to be the Harness Tapestry Dress by Monse (FYI Taylor Swift wore a similar one to the VMAS).
Discover our alien UFO print, inspired by the iconic sci-fi films of the 1950s. This nostalgic design adds a playful yet sophisticated twist to your wardrobe, blending vintage charm with modern flair. Perfect for making a statement wherever you go!
According to Variety, The Devil Wears Prada 2 follows Miranda Priestly "as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and as she faces off against Blunt's character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs."
Other new additions to the cast include Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Helen J. Shen, Conrad Ricamora, Caleb Hearon, and Kenneth Branagh.
No info yet on Simone and Pauline's roles (they were cast in early July so this is all very new), but judging from their characters fashionable fits they appear to be Runway adjacent. Meanwhile, Anne Hathaway spoke about rebooting The Devil Wears Prada and The Princess Diaries with WWD, saying "I was so beautifully cared for on both of those films. I was a baby, like a legal child, when I made Princess Diaries — I turned 18 while we were making it, and I was a very, very young woman when I made Devil Wears Prada. I was so guided and looked after and cared for by the communities that made both of those films in particular, each of their directors, Garry Marshall and David Frankel. I'm so excited that now I can do that for other people, that now I have the knowledge and the experience and the confidence to take care of other people on sets in which I'm looked at as a leader."

Anne Hathaway spotted with a surprising new hair colour on The Devil Wears Prada 2 set

As I'm sure we're all seen (via social media, ofc), filming for The Devil Wears Prada 2 is well underway. But that's [not] all, because while Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci all star as their original characters, circa a decade later, they've each had a glow up – natch. Our favourite? Andy Sachs (aka, Anne), who is now, along with a revamped wardrobe, rocking fresh red streaky highlights. Let's just hope Miranda approves... As shown in the new pap snaps below [taken July 28], Anne's trademark brunette curls aren't all lost, but instead, subtle auburn highlights have been added. (Either that, or the lighting on set is creating the illusion of red undertones in her hair.) It's subtle yet noticeable and oh, so very autumnal! Wouldn't you agree? Meryl Streep's glow up, on the other hand, consists of not ageing a day – I mean, just look at her! And the pixie? Yep, still intact 10 years later. All in all, these transformations give us hope that the sequel will live up to the original film. You best believe we're counting down the days til its release! Follow Lia on Instagram. Hulu Switches ‘Futurama' Season 13 From Weekly to Binge Release; Shares Premiere Date and First Look Photos (EXCLUSIVE)

Hulu is switching to an all-at once binge for 'Futurama' as it returns in September for Season 13. Variety has learned that all 10 episodes from the new season will premiere at the same time on September 15 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET. That's a switch from most recent two seasons of the revival, as Hulu released Season 11 in 2023 and Season 12 in 2024 on a weekly basis. 'Futurama' originally ran on broadcast, via Fox, for its first four seasons, from 1999 to 2003; it was then revived on several direct-to-DVD specials from 2007 to 2009, and then via Comedy Central between 2010 to 2013. The Hulu re-revival began in July 2023. Hulu noted that per Nielsen, 'Futurama' was among the top 10 streaming originals of 2024. Hulu announced in November 2023 that 'Futurama' had been renewed for two more seasons, taking it through Season 14 in 2026. (Yes, there's plenty of confusion about season counts for 'Futurama,' thanks to both those DVD releases, and then Comedy Central's move to split seasons into multiple sub-seasons. In the Comedy Central days, 'seasons' were sometimes stretched over multiple years and cycles.) Here's the show's Season 13 synopsis: 'Bender is rampaging out of control! A volcano is about to explode! Fry confronts a rival for Leela's love! And Dr. Zoidberg is rising up to heaven?! The excitement might be too much! You've been warned… it's an all new season of 'Futurama'!' 'Futurama,' from 20th Television Animation (a part of Disney Television Studios), stars John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamar and David Herman are all back. The show was created by Matt Groening and developed by Groening and David X. Cohen. Executive producers include Groening, Cohen, Ken Keeler and Claudia Katz. Animation is provided by Rough Draft Studios. 'Futurama' has won two primetime Emmys for outstanding animated program. The logline: 'Despite its far-future setting, the show is renowned for its satiric commentary on life in the present. The series follows Philip J. Fry (Billy West), a New York City pizza delivery boy, who accidentally freezes himself in 1999 and gets defrosted in the year 3000. In this astonishing New New York, he befriends hard-drinking robot Bender (John DiMaggio), and falls in love with cyclops Leela (Katey Sagal). The trio find work at the Planet Express Delivery Company, founded by Fry's doddering descendant, Professor Hubert Farnsworth. Together with accountant Hermes Conrad, assistant Amy Wong, and alien lobster Dr. John Zoidberg, they embark on thrilling adventures that take them to every corner of the universe.' Anne Hathaway's Curls Are So Good, Miranda Priestly Might Even Raise an Eyebrow

Okay then. Well, you can likely imagine my surprise when Anne Hathaway announced that she would reprise her role in The Devil Wears Prada 2. The scream I let out when photos of her filming in Manhattan were taken today could shatter glass. Post minor meltdown, I, of course, had to take a closer look at Hathaway's beauty details, and the hair alone let me know that hard-hitting journalist, Andy Sachs, may be more enamored with the glitz and glam of New York City than she initially thought. For starters, the actress's hair was long, voluminous, and tumbled down her back, almost grazing her hips as she walked through the streets of New York City. Colored in her signature chocolate brown hue, Hathaway's hair was curled to perfection, and the loose ringlets surrounding her face created the appearance of a faux curtain bang. Save for a pair of sunglasses on her face and a few rings on her hand, no other accessories were added to Hathaway's look, allowing her flawless makeup and bold brows to complement her hair perfectly. In an era wherein short haircuts reign supreme, Hathaway's long curls are a reminder of just how versatile lengthier tresses can be. While I subscribe to the notion of a good bob, I also love experimenting with hair extensions, which allow me to create a wide range of looks. If you want to recreate Hathaway's hairstyle, keep reading for the products I swear by to achieve a similar look. Curls like Hathaway's need the help of an elite curling iron.
